“They’ve never seen a child stay here before,” said the staff.
So… we tried it anyway—and yes, we survived the night at −8°C (felt like −12°C)!❄️
Surprisingly, the inside was warmer than expected.
We had talked about possibly “retreating” if it got too cold…
But we didn’t need to!
There’s a warm shelter hut nearby (we only used it for changing clothes).
Thanks to a hot onsen bath, special pajamas, and a −30°C-rated sleeping bag—we slept like babies!😴
Okay, I woke once because my nose was cold… but I covered it and went straight back to sleep until the morning alarm⏰
