【日本中部自由行】EP01 – 名古屋第一天 | 早餐品嘗名古屋名物小倉紅豆吐司 | 快速前往名古屋市的μSKY列車 | 鶴舞公園好多櫻花啊

This year, 2025, we had another family trip to Japan! Our aunt came along with us on this trip too This time, we’re traveling around the Chubu region So, we’ll be visiting Gero, Shirakawa-go, Kanazawa, Fukui, and more Osaka will be our last stop (mainly for USJ, LOL) Right now, we’re on a direct Singapore Airlines flight heading to Nagoya! We’ve arrived at Chubu Centrair International Airport! First, we’re going to have breakfast at the airport We came to Komeda’s Coffee shop Order a drink before 11 a.m. and you’ll get complimentary toast with it On average, a cup of coffee costs ¥600 (~ SGD5.55) To top it off, the toast included Nagoya’s famous Ogura red bean paste Every one of us got a drink After breakfast, we’re off to Nagoya! We can take the μSKY train from the airport to Nagoya city in just 28 minutes We can buy the train tickets right here – super convenient First, just need to choose First Class Car Ticket, then the number of tickets, destination, and departure time We can select the seats in the First Class Car Ticket section For passengers with multiple pieces of luggage, the first or last row is recommended A total of 6 tickets cost ¥8,580, which comes out to ¥1,430 (~SGD13.2) per ticket After getting the ticket, just head into the Meitetsu Line station for the μSKY train Once passed the gantry, head along the right side to Platform 1 Actually, the tickets we just bought aren’t for the μSKY train. They’re for this limited express train instead Good thing we realized it quickly and rushed over to Platform 3 So, remember to double-check which train ticket you’ve bought so you don’t end up on the wrong platform It’s full of our family’s luggage in here The limited express train to Nagoya city will also take only 37 minutes Now we’re heading to our accommodation to drop off our luggage first For our accommodation in Nagoya, I chose Nana’s House on Airbnb The check-in process was fast and easy A day before our stay, the owner sent me the passcode for the digital lock. We just had to key it in to enter the house. We stayed here for a total of 3 nights, and the accommodation fee was ¥121,158 On average, that’s about ¥6,700 per person per night (~SGD62) There’s a small living room and a TV The toilet and shower room are on this floor too At the back is a small kitchen with a microwave There’s also a washing machine! All the bedrooms are on the second floor, but the staircase is a bit narrow and steep So we need to be extra careful when going up or down the stairs The first bedroom There are three beds here, so our parents and aunt will be sleeping in this room There’s a balcony here, so we can enjoy a cup of coffee out here in the morning The second bedroom has Japanese tatami mats to sleep on So the three of us will be sleeping here That’s all about our accommodation! Now, we’re going to explore around Nagoya! After dropping off our luggage, we’re now off to our first stop The train station in Nagoya is rather quiet compared to Tokyo Our first stop is Osu Kannon Station After walking for 2 minutes from Exit 2, we’ve reached the temple Along the way, there’s a Family Mart and a 7-Eleven store It’s mid-April, and we’re still seeing these beautiful blossom trees If you’re interested, you can feed the pigeons here Next to the temple is the Osu Shopping Street There are around 1,200 shophouses on this street It’s filled with food, fashion, and all sorts of other shops If you’ve got some time, it’s a great place to browse around What a big strawberry! His favourite After eating the onigiri, we’re off to the next stop! Tsuruma Park is only one station away from Osu Shopping Street It’s one of the famous places to enjoy Sakura in Nagoya We came here just to try our luck We’re not sure if there’s still any Sakura left Well, the trees are still full with Sakura! We’ve taken a lot of photos here There are lots of food stalls here People can buy some food or snacks to eat while enjoying the Sakura Inside the park, there are even more Sakura trees! The weather right now really suits having a BBQ There are so many options of food stalls here However, the weather is just too cold All of us want a bowl of hot ramen After strolling for a while in Tsuruma Park we decided to head back to our accommodation area to have dinner there and end our first day We arrived in Nagoya at 9 AM, and everyone is exhausted now So on our first day, we went back early to rest That’s all about our first day in Nagoya Soon I will share about our second day Stay tuned, and thanks for watching!
