This time, we will have dinner at Tonkatsu Maji, which has probably been on the Tabelog Katsu section more than 100 times nationwide . I’ve been going there for about 15 years. It’s about a 5-minute walk from JR Hachi Station. There is a one-way parking lot in front of the restaurant. Ange accepts reservations, so I came to fill out the waiting sheet at 8:30 in the morning on this day. We called the third group from the battle, but they didn’t all gather until 7:00 p.m., so we called out to the restaurant when they were there. I’m looking forward to it since it’s been a year since I last came. I think the menu has expanded a lot compared to 15 years ago . My favorite for the past 10 years or so is the large black pork set meal , which is pork with a sweet and oily taste that is the best. Other dishes include Tokyo X, Kimura pork, Super Golden Pork, Ajibuta, and Hashirubuta, which I think I’ve never seen before. Of course, there are also regular top and loin pork that are not brand pork . You can also combine it with a platter with telephone cards, fries, and other fried foods, and the two people accompanying me who came to the restaurant for the first time were having a hard time deciding. This blackboard is regularly updated, but it’s still cute to look at. Salad dressing, olive oil, and salt. It used to be just dressing, but it’s evolved. This time, I’ll have it with salt and olive oil. I’ll put a lot on. They served good tonkatsu. It looks so delicious that I’m drooling just looking at it while editing. I think I’ll go there for the next re-question right away. Sauce and olive oil are also provided, but I almost never use them and always just have it with salt. By the way, the salt contains truffles, so it has a very good flavor. This tonkatsu weighs 270g. It’s quite large, but the reason I choose the L size is that it is cut thick, so the way the wood passes through is the best. If it’s the regular size, the air passes through a little more firmly and it doesn’t feel rare. Also, I don’t eat the regular size. The meat is soft and you can bite it off with just a light bite. By the way, you can choose white truffle salt or corn salt for the salt. Salt is the best for delicious meat. The oil is quite strong, so it’s just right to add a lot of salt . I’ll do it later, but if you run out of salt, you can use the salad salt. By the way, I came to the restaurant with three people that day, but everyone was so engrossed in eating that they were almost silent. They say that the ‘ka’ makes people silent, but I’ve never heard of anyone being silent after eating pork cutlet. By the way, rice and cabbage are free for refills. Refills of miso soup are charged. What’s great about this restaurant is that they use ingredients that are carefully selected for every detail, not just the meat, but also the rice and pickles . I’m glad that they’ve kept the price constant even though the cost of rice has risen so much. Of course, the price has gone up since I first came here 15 years ago, but I think it’s a dining experience that is definitely worth more than the price. By the way, Mange’s reception closes at 60 people in the daytime and 40 people in the evening, and on weekends, the reception closes in an instant, so I recommend coming early. On the other hand, if you come at 5pm on weekdays, you can often just slip in and eat quickly and go home . It was a Thursday so we could make reservations at around 7pm, but I recommend coming at 6pm on weekdays . The rareness of the pork cooked slowly over a low heat is irresistibly delicious. Yes. The regular oil makes the rareness less noticeable, so I always order the large size. Before, when the truffle salt ran out, I would ask the staff for salt, but now they have salt so you can have as much as you want. This is a little nice. Recently, there have been a lot more branded tonkatsu restaurants and some have opened in Osaka, but with a waiting seat system, you can come whenever you want to eat. You don’t have to worry about not being able to eat when you want to, like at restaurants that are difficult to make reservations at, so I personally prefer this. Even if you try hard to make a reservation at a restaurant that is difficult to make a reservation at, you don’t necessarily feel like eating on the day. Now, the only restaurant that is difficult to make reservations at is I-san, who I introduced before. Yes. How is it different? One more thing I’m no longer interested in expensive course meals that cost tens of thousands of yen, and these days I like cheap, tasty restaurants that I can eat quickly whenever I want, and that fit my mood at the time.
