横浜 上川井 大貫谷戸水路橋と旧八王子街道を歩く｜Japan Kanagawa 4K Walking Tour 2025

The waterway runs from near Lake Tsukui to Nogeyama in Yokohama. It was built in 1952, so it’s been quite a while. The area is covered in ivy. I can’t help but wonder why a mosque is being built nearby. There was a church. Unlike temples and shrines, it seems that people who are not related to the shrine are not allowed in. This is the old Hachioji Kaido. It looks like Yokohama Midai Fudoson (Daimyo-o-in), but is it a religious facility? I’d better not go in here. I wonder if it’s off-limits to believers or parishioners or anyone else. The Katabira River has gotten much larger. There are a lot of people gathered. It feels like a festival. This is it. It’s like rolling a portable shrine. The Katabira River has grown considerably as it collects wastewater. We arrived at Chogenji Temple. The face seems to have fallen off, but it’s new. Is this Anpanman? The other side is also hilly. The river has carved the gaps and made the land flat. 横浜市旭区の上川井を歩くと、道の先に古い街道の気配が現れる。若葉台から南へ下り、旧八王子街道に出ると、大貫谷戸水路橋の巨大な姿が頭上に広がった。津久井湖から横浜野毛山まで水を運ぶこの橋は、一九五二年に築かれてから幾十年、今もツタに覆われながら静かに時を刻んでいる。その周囲には建設中のモスクや、街の中に溶け込む教会があり、宗教の響きが重なり合う光景に出会う。さらに歩けば横浜身代り不動尊の門前に立ち、信仰の場と日常の道との境を感じさせられる。流れを増した帷子川のほとりでは、人々が集い祭りの支度を進め、神輿を担ぐ気配が街を熱で包む。その先にある長源寺には、新しい顔を与えられた仏像があり、古さと新しさが同居する姿に目を奪われる。丘陵が連なり、川が地形を削った平地には暮らしが広がり、遠くから響くお囃子の音は録音放送であっても、この町の日常を象徴する音色となっていた。祈りと生活が交差する風景の中を歩くと、そこに流れる時間までもが旅の記憶となって心に残っていく。
