[Music] [Applause] Thank you for watching as always. This time I’ve come to Fuji City. My goal this time is to head there right away because I heard that the lunch made by the owner, who honed his skills at a French restaurant, is very satisfying. Also, on the way back I’d like to buy some dessert at a very popular restaurant that I visit several times a year , so please watch until the end. First, I’ll explain the first restaurant I’m going to using a map. Head towards Fujinomiya Station along the street where Mega Donki is, which I was just driving on, and after passing Matsufuku Fuji, you can turn right at the traffic light for Sawayaka Fuji Takaoka, but it’s hard to know where to turn, so I’ll turn right at this road just before Sawayaka, then turn right at the first traffic light and go straight, and you’ll reach your destination. Once you get to this road, if you’re familiar with the area, turn just before the street I just came from and you’ll reach the restaurant I was going to. You can exit onto the road right next to it.By the way, if you come out from the road you just came from or the road right next to it, you will find this sign on the side of the store, so it will be easy to find. This store, which is in a location that is difficult to find unless you are a local, is located in Hisazawa, Fuji City.It is called Kimagure Kitchen Nanairo and is open from 11:30am to 2pm and from 5pm to 9pm (last orders are at 9pm).The store is closed on Wednesdays. There are parking spaces for 5 cars in front of the store and right next to it, as well as a second parking lot with 4 cars, so if the parking lot in front of the store is full, ask the staff where the second parking lot is.Also , there is a November opening hours notice next to the store, and it seems that there are days when lunch is not served, so please be aware of this. Now, let’s get going! Let’s come in! The interior of the restaurant has a stylish izakaya-like atmosphere, with a counter seating for six and a high-ceilinged room next to the entrance. This room has one table with chairs for four, two tatami tables for four, and one tatami table for two, accommodating a maximum of 20 people. To sum up, this restaurant has a hidden-away feel. Let’s take a look at the menu. First, there are three types of fried chicken with rice, and the price changes depending on the number of pieces. There are also salads, large and small portions of rice, and soup available for an additional fee. By the way, this is what four regular portions of Yurinjiki look like. Next, there’s the Nanairo Plate with rice, which includes 250g of beef loin steak with rice, a roast beef bowl, and a chicken cutlet bowl. The top Nanairo Plate is also available. The menu seems to contain more than seven kinds of seasonal side dishes, followed by Hayashi rice with four kinds of toppings, stewed hamburger steak, and hamburger steak with plenty of mushrooms and yuzu ponzu sauce. Next is a menu where you can choose two kinds of fried chicken, three of each, for a total of 48 kinds, including the one on this page. Next are salads, rainbow salad, mizuna and daikon radish salad with small sardines , salad sharicuteri, and salads full of meat. Next are the a la carte dishes of fresh fish carpaccio, smoked daikon radish, pickles, horse sashimi, prosciutto, pork cutlet with grated daikon radish and ponzu sauce, refreshing chicken cutlet with sauce , chewy potatoes, and small, medium, and large fries. Next are mentaiko omelet, shrimp mayo, spicy fried shrimp, crispy mini seafood spring rolls, and Chinese food. There’s fried rice with pickled shibazuke and dried baby sardines and Japanese pepper, Sanratanmen, vegetable miso ramen, and desserts, as well as two kinds of ice cream, French toast, Belgian waffles, and maple-flavored potato mochi. They also have a children’s lunch, so you can enjoy a leisurely meal with your children at a table. There’s also a 390 yen menu for those who want to eat a little more, and it has a wide variety. It’s perfect for those who drink alcohol and want to try a variety of dishes. And, since it would be too long to list here, I’ll just mention a few, but there is also a wide variety of alcohol. In addition to this, there are also sakes recommended by the owner. There is also a menu on the wall of the store, which is listed on the menu mentioned earlier, but this seems to be an original menu that is not listed on the menu. The jumbo mushroom fried chicken is said to be delicious. There is also a takeout menu. There are seven types of bento boxes, hors d’oeuvres, and a wide variety of single items, such as fried chicken, french fries, seafood mini spring rolls, and mentaiko tamagoyaki. We had chewy potatoes and roast beef. Now that our order was complete, we waited patiently for our food to arrive. The 250g beef loin steak with rice was 2,200 yen (tax included). The beef loin was cut into bite-sized pieces and arranged in two layers, making it a surprising amount. There were also bean sprouts underneath, and fried onions and green onions on top of the steak, which went perfectly with the Japanese-style steak sauce . The steak itself was just the right size, and the balance between the flavor of the steak sauce, the texture of the fried onions, and the flavor of the green onions was perfect. It was delicious on its own, but also paired perfectly with rice. I wish I’d ordered a larger portion. It was a hearty, delicious steak with a new texture. If you’re looking for a casual steak experience, I recommend giving it a try. You can also add soup for an additional 150 yen, so be sure to request it when ordering. Next up was a little prosciutto salad for 390 yen, ordered as a veggie first (vegetable first). Both the prosciutto and the dressing are delicious, and this “Choi Series” is great because it’s affordable. Next up is the Hayashi rice, which is 1,070 yen including tax, and I added a chicken cutlet for 150 yen as a topping. Like the steak, this Hayashi rice is quite filling . Also, the chicken cutlet topping is cheap at 150 yen each, which is great. And as for the taste, it has a well-crafted, authentic flavor that is very delicious and goes perfectly with rice. The chicken cutlet topping was surprisingly large and not at all greasy, making it easy to eat and a great match with the hayashi rice. They also offer cheese topping for 150 yen, which I thought would be delicious, but cheese on fried food is a bit too much of a calorie bomb. Well, anything goes if it’s delicious, right? (lol) By the way, they accept QR code payment in addition to cash, but credit cards are currently unavailable due to a malfunction. Both the steak and the hayashi rice were delicious, and I felt like I’d discovered a hidden gem. They also apparently offer all-you-can-drink courses. The food is delicious, and they have a wide selection of alcoholic beverages, which I’m jealous of if you live nearby. They also offer takeout, so if you’re in the area, you can dine in, or if you’re short on time, you can order a bento or individual item to take home. Now, I’d like to move on to my next recommended restaurant, so please watch until the end. The video suddenly repeats, but this isn’t a mistake or a bug. (lol) My recommended restaurant, which I visit several times a year, is this restaurant on the same premises. Another recommended shop that you’ll definitely fall in love with once you try their tarts and scones is [Caligulaci], also located in Hisazawa, Fuji City. Business hours are from 11:30 AM to 6 PM, but they close when stock runs out. Closed on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, they’re open on weekends only. There are 2-3 rows of parking next to the shop, but it’s very popular and fills up quickly, so we recommend going early. By the way, when you park your car, you’ll receive a ticket to enter. I was number 20 this time. Let’s go! ♪ The interior of the shop is a stylish, old-fashioned Japanese house. Also, there’s a limit of three groups allowed in the shop, so you can only enter after the person in front of you has left. When it’s your turn, you can look around the shop while the person in front of you is ordering, and decide what you want . The tarts on this day looked like this. As expected, many items are sold out at number 20. The scones on the display case are also pretty much gone. By the way, when I went in May, I waited for the store to open and got number 7, so I was able to buy any tart or scone . If you’re going to go, it’s best to go early. There were also cookies and other baked goods next to the counter, and in the display case under the counter, there were cookies, pound cakes, madeleines, scone butter sandwiches, etc. Please note that payment is accepted by cash only. I arrived here around 12:00 and was number 20 on my ticket. I successfully purchased my tarts and scones . My purchases included a raspberry chocolate tart (¥660), a sweet potato tart with candied sweet potato (¥700), a butterscotch scone (¥350), and a matcha scone (¥350). You can get your entrance ticket from the person managing the parking lot. Return it to the store when you pay. Caligulaci’s is not only delicious, but also popular, with lines forming before opening time due to its weekend-only operation. If you’d like to try their tarts or scones, I recommend arriving before opening time, as popular items sell out quickly. Thank you for watching until the end!
