「オラ、北海道さ行くだ!」65日連続で車中泊した、軽自動車旅の記録①

Just being alive is exhausting. Hello, Ozen-san. Today is August 19th, 10 p.m. I’m heading to Hokkaido now. It’s hot during the day, so I’ll leave at night. I’ll be traveling on the highway from Tochigi to Aomori Port. Today, I got on the highway and took a nap in a parking lot. I plan to land in Hokkaido the day after tomorrow. It’s cool at night, and there are few cars, so it’s comfortable. I installed my ETC myself, so I’m worried about whether I’ll be able to get through. I got on the highway and just headed north. After two hours of driving, I took a nap in a parking lot. I’m worried about whether there will be a parking space available. I arrived at Fukushima Matsukawa PA. The parking lot is quite busy at 2 a.m. It’s 3 a.m. The temperature inside the car is 27.3°C. I have a fan on. With the strongest silicone earplugs, I should be able to sleep. I’ll nap until morning. Day 2 of my trip. It’s 6:30 a.m. The temperature inside the car is 28°C. I want to sleep more, but it’s too hot. It’s raining in Aomori today, my destination. For breakfast, I had a boiled egg. 4 hours and 37 minutes to Aomori Port. No air conditioning, just a little window open. I parked at a convenience store. I bought coffee and an egg roll. 3 hours left. I went to the parking lot to check traffic information. The road I was planning to take was closed. I took a nap. It looked like heavy rain was coming up. The road remained closed. I took a safe route. I was thinking about how many liters of gas to put in, which is expensive on the highway. After much deliberation, I decided on the 10-liter man. I love tunnels. The effects of long-distance driving. The effects of long-distance driving #2. A calm decision. Then… Heavy rain. The total highway toll was 7,290 yen. Driving along a road that looked like a sea of trees… I arrived in Aomori City before I knew it. The Big Aomori East branch. Apparently they’re cheap. I got some ice. I bought Nanbu Senbei, a specialty of Aomori. Only 140 yen, it was cheap. Albacore tuna sashimi with steamed beans. A discolored radish salad on sale. Rice crackers. It may seem like a simple meal, but it’s healthy. A salad of daikon radish, beans, and cheese. High in fiber. Albacore tuna for protein. My staple food is Nanbu rice crackers . A bag of salad is easy. The price recently went up to 130 yen, which is sad. I often buy discounted items. I like albacore tuna because it’s always cheap. It’s also reasonably tasty. Eating albacore tuna in the driver’s seat in the rain is delicious. My staple food is Nanbu rice crackers. These are authentic Nanbu rice crackers. They ‘re very firm and not too sweet. They’re cheap and delicious. Ube Senbei Shop is a limited company, so I can trust them. My ferry is scheduled for 8 a.m. tomorrow. It’s now 8:30 p.m. I’m tired, so I’ll take a shower. Last time I came to Hokkaido, I also visited Aomori. By chance, the Neputa Festival was happening, so I got to see it. The only place I could find a place to sleep in my car was Gourai Park. It’s midnight. It’s a comfortable 23°C . We depart at 5:00 AM tomorrow and board the ferry. We ‘re scheduled to arrive in Hakodate at 10:00 AM. Once we arrive in Hakodate, we’ll head to a hidden gem on the east side. Tired from driving all day, I’m going to sleep. Good night. Day 3 of my trip. 5:00 AM. The ferry departs at 6:25 AM. I woke up several times during the night , worried about missing the ferry . I’m so sleepy. It’s a slightly cool, refreshing morning. There’s no wind right now, so the boat doesn’t seem to be rocking. It’s 5:00 AM and the temperature in Aomori is 25°C. Today’s high in Hakodate is 30°C . It’s the end of August, and 30°C is too hot for Hakodate. The Tsugaru Kaikyo Ferry is about 15 minutes away. I’ll try Smart Check-in. Apparently, it’s like a drive-through. Only those with a reservation and payment can use it. Scan the QR code. The ferry fare from Aomori to Hakodate is 11,000 yen. That completes the process. It’s incredibly fast. The ticket is placed on the windshield. “Is there only one passenger?” It’s 5:40, 45 minutes before boarding time. Today is August 21st. Even at this time of year, reservations are full, and only early morning and late-night flights are available. Since I have time, I have breakfast. Steamed beans, cheese, and Nanbu rice crackers. The steamed beans and cheese go so well together. Boarding begins 30 minutes before boarding time. This is probably my third time on a ferry. I’m a little nervous. The slope is quite steep. If I forget to apply the handbrake, it’s all over. The interior of the ferry is quite clean. Since it’s the cheapest ticket, there are no private rooms. This room is free to use. I’m bored, so I explore the ship. There’s a game corner. There are slots and UFO catchers. The ferry isn’t moving yet, but there was a drunk person vomiting. I was so engrossed in taking a video that I ended up stepping in vomit. I stepped in vomit right after boarding the ship. Thankfully, it happened before we arrived in Hokkaido. I was able to shake off all my bad luck. It was my first time stepping in vomit. There was free Wi-Fi. I checked the internet speed. It wasn’t fast, but it was enough for smartphone use. They also sell alcohol. Happoshu (low-malt beer) was 210 yen. There was a shower room. I should have brought a towel. I had a towel, so I’ll take a shower later. The ship started moving. It looks like I can go outside. It feels better outside. It’s pretty fast. I like the ruts in the ship’s wheels. I’ll take a shower. They have shampoos. Enough for a shower. Shower. I thought this was a bath towel, but it looks like a bath mat. I’ll round it up and call it a towel. I never thought I’d step in vomit so soon after boarding, and then have to dry myself off on a bath mat… I ‘m in pretty good shape. As a YouTuber, I’m in great shape. I can see land. My current location is the blue circle, so I’m in this part of Oma. Still in the Honshu area. I’ll sleep for a bit. I found Hokkaido.
