【バルカン半島】日本人がほぼ行かない旧社会主義国だったセルビアの首都ベオグラードとは?
Good morning. Today is October 28, 2025, around 5:30 this morning . I think I mentioned this at the end of my last video, but I ‘m leaving Paris, France, for Eci and Belgrade in Serbia . I’ve always wanted to visit various countries in the Balkans, but the timing never quite worked out. This time, I won’t be able to visit them all, but I’m hoping to visit a few countries to get some oil. Serbia and Kosovo have close ties with Japan, and the current problems facing Serbia are quite serious. So, for this channel, I’d like to focus on a certain area of Serbia . Many Japanese people don’t know much about the Balkans, and while they’ve heard of Serbia, I think there are many who don’t have much information about it. However, Serbia has a strong connection with Japan, and there’s a strong historical background. In this video , I’ll be talking about my journey from Paris, France, to Serbia before arriving. In the next video, I’ll also be releasing a video about my stay in Serbia. I’ll explain a little about how, among European countries, Serbia is currently heavily influenced by China, both financially and politically. There are a lot of Chinese people in the city, and it’s starting to look like a Chinatown . I thought I’d explore that a bit. Anyway , today, I’m flying from Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport to Serbia Airlines . First, I’ll check into the hotel and then head to the airport . So, I arrived at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport. It took about 20 minutes from the hotel. It was early in the morning, so it wasn’t crowded and the fare was cheap. About 25. Well, it wasn’t cheap. Oh, but it was cheaper than the average. After that, I flew on an airline called Air Serbia from Belgrade to Situn. The flight was less than two hours. Oh, it went pretty quickly. Of course, I was in economy class. Check-in hadn’t started yet. It must be about three hours before departure. I ‘m looking at the counter now. I think I’ll kill some time before I head out. Air Serbia doesn’t have an alliance. Why doesn’t it allow status ? I wonder if there’s a lounge or something like that? There seems to be a Terminal 2 or something, but I’ll check in first, and then I’ll wait a bit because I have a few things to do . There are quite a few cafes and shops on the check-in floor , and they’re open early, so let’s grab a coffee. I’m hungry, too. I missed breakfast at the hotel today. It’s too early, so I’m killing time at this cafe. Well, it’s airport prices, so I guess it’s a bit pricey, but I got a hot cafe latte and some kind of fried bread, for about 10 yen. It was about 1700 yen. Well, I guess I can’t help it. I knew what I was getting into , but I bought it anyway. Prices are pretty low in the Balkans, especially Serbia and Kosovo. The hotel is a bit pricey, but the food is much cheaper than in France and other parts of Western Europe , so I think the food is probably good. Turkey and other Islamic countries are a bit influenced, so I think there are a lot of unusual dishes . France is the most expensive destination on this trip, so I’ll be visiting other countries besides the Balkans. So, I bought it without hesitation . I’d probably go to the lounge I’d access later with the ticket. I ‘m a bit hungry, so I’ll have something. Let’s eat . Oh, it’s some kind of chocolate. So sweet. Serbia, where I’m going this time, isn’t in the EU. I have to leave the EU, but Japanese people can get there on the Novi seat. Basically, all the Balkan countries are like that. The reason is that there are a lot of very Japanese-like countries. And Japan has provided support on the ground, too. Serbia and Kosovo are still on bad terms and in a state of war, but Japan supports both, so Japanese people can get in on the Novi seat. I don’t think many people go, but I’ve always wanted to go. It looks like it’s almost time to check in, so let’s go. So, check-in began. This is my first time on Air Serbia. So, I was checked in. I don’t think there were any particular questions. Oh, I think they only asked me how many days I’d be staying on the return flight, and if I had a ticket . Yes. It was a breeze. The process was surprisingly quick. Yes. After this, I left the country, and apparently, there’s a smoking area at Terminal 2 of Charles de Gaulle Airport, even after I left, so I just checked. We’re already talking about cigarettes. Yes. So, I can leave without any worries. If we have a little more time, let’s go to the lounge. I think it’s about two hours left. Okay, let’s go. So, security is over. It was pretty crowded, and it took about 40 minutes . And after this, we’re leaving for the EU, right? I think the PP lounge was after we left the EU. I’m pretty tired already. I haven’t done anything yet. I just checked, and it’s the same Dine Terminal, but it’s in Terminal E. I could just move from where I am to Terminal D or B, but it’s a bit of a hassle to go there. Why not? Let’s just spend our time normally. Well, there are plenty of smoking areas, so it’s a good idea to leave up ahead. There were shops and smoking rooms after I left, so I thought I might as well leave. It’s pretty crowded, like Asterba. I wanted to spend some time in a quiet place. So, I left the EU. In France, when you leave the EU, there’s a Japanese priority queue. There was a Japanese flag alongside the American and British ones, so when I got there, the automated screening was like a rebellion after it was over. It only took about 10 seconds. And, to be honest, after I left the country, I was re-entering Europe, the EU, and the stamps were a bit overwhelming. The page was getting really crazy. I’m only in the third year of my 10-year passport , and there’s no lounge, so I thought I’d buy some water. Evian is 2.7 euros , even at 500 yen, compared to the 1000 yen a bottle in America. But I don’t like Evian. All I can get is Evian. Yeah. 4 euros. 3.9. I think I’ll go somewhere else. France is one of Europe’s biggest gaming countries, so Sony’s PlayStation in Japan is amazing. They’re really putting a lot of effort into it. I just need some water. Is this place expensive too? The cafe here is more expensive. A bottle of Evian here costs 5 euros. It’s 1000 yen, right? And there’s a smoking area in the back. It feels like a lounge even without going there. The waiting area here is really clean. There’s a power outlet, too. This place is nice. It’s easier to sit near the smoking area if possible. I’m a little reluctant, but it’s expensive, so would I like to buy a drink? One bottle costs 2.7, but two bottles cost 4 euros, so I bought two. I don’t think I need to report this. Anyway, let’s go to the smoking area. I didn’t expect the facilities to be this good. There’s no need to go to the lounge anymore . There are outlets and tables everywhere. The Wi-Fi is fast too. But it would be great if we stayed here in this smoking area. That’s already a win. I don’t know what the win is, but there was no one in the smoking area . That’s nice. It’s spacious. There’s a proper timetable, so that’s good. So, we quickly got started, and the gate was changed, and the flight was delayed by an hour. It was supposed to be 9:30. As expected. I thought I could have moved to another terminal and gone to the lounge if it was going to be an hour delayed, but that’s ok. I just smoked another cigarette and waited. Then boarding began. I just realized I’m in seat 15, D. When I reserved my seat, I thought I’d get seat 9, A, a window seat, but, um, I ended up paying for it . About 1500 yen. I just realized. It’s annoying. Oh well . This is an aisle seat. I didn’t expect the flight to Serbia to be so full . It’s packed. So, this is my first time on Air Serbia. It’s been 30 minutes since we went through the boarding gate already, and why is everyone so slow to board? It feels like it’s abnormally slow. Why is this happening? It hasn’t happened before. Maybe it’s that. There are a lot of people blocking the aisle and slowly loading their luggage. I guess it’s just like that, in Japan, everyone is so fast. Well, Asians are pretty fast. Especially in East Asia, Korea, China, and Serbia, I’m sure they’re pretty laid back. Well, the Middle East is pretty laid back too, but I finally made it to the plane’s entrance. Mr. C, wearing a uniform that had a Soviet vibe, was loading his luggage very slowly. It wasn’t moving at all down the aisle. So I got on board. Actually, I was sitting by the window, but since it was by the aisle, I couldn’t really see the view. Well, it was my first time on an Air Serbia 320, a Dash 200, and it was pretty cramped. It’s practically the same as an LCC now. They might give you a drink for about one bag this year, but basically, everything seems to be paid for. Luggage, too, is charged. Well , unless you’re lucky enough to have a carry-on baggage allowance, it’s limited to 7km. From what I could see, everyone was bringing a lot of stuff. It seemed pretty relaxed. Oh, anyway, it was slow. There was a lot to do. It seemed like almost everyone was on board. There was no one next to me. I was lucky that the plane was almost full. Yes. It was such a small plane, but there were five flight attendants on board. That’s a lot of people. They were all so cool. They were incredibly beautiful. As you’d expect from Serbian beauties, the women’s faces were doll-like, with that blonde complexion. At first , I thought I’d get business class, but this time, economy was pretty expensive, about 34,000 yen. Right. VCC doesn’t have that, so business was about 80,000 yen. From what I saw when I boarded earlier, it was one of those common European economy class seats where two people sit in a row, splitting the seats . It was pretty lame. Yes. I decided against it, thinking that 80,000 to 90,000 yen was a bit too much, but if you fly with airlines like E-J or Uzair, you can get a flight to Serbia for around 15,000 to 20,000 yen, but with luggage it ends up being around 30,000 yen. If you’re going without luggage, those might be a better option, but there are quite a few options. So, Serbian Airlines is the best, well, I mean, they’re a flag carrier, so they fly to Serbia. Then there are airlines from other European countries , like Polish Airlines, Elf, Austrian Airlines, and Wolfthansa, which all fly to Belgrade. The doors just closed. At this point, the flight is about an hour and 40 minutes late. And, you know, because of the Soviet influence, they’re carrying a lot of stuff. A mini bottle costs about 6. Well, Serbian currency is called the Serbian Deal. One ru is roughly 1.5 yen. Back in the day, or maybe up until about two years ago, it was about 1 yen at 1 o’clock, so it was easy to calculate. But now, due to the weak yen in Japan, even the currencies of these small countries have become cheaper . For example, a bottle of water here is 300 yen, but multiply that by 1.5 to get 450 yen. Yes. I thought prices might be cheaper, but maybe they’re a little more expensive than Japan. Even at Zip Air, a bottle of tea costs 200 yen. I think it’s 250 yen, so it’s much more expensive. This is a rising Balkan country, and it’s quite poor economically. Compared to Japan, prices may be much cheaper than that small country. Also, my image of Serbia is Stojkovic. He’s the former Nagoya Grampus player, who ended up as manager, and was known as the “name.” I saw Stojkovic play when he was still a J-League player. He was a really cool guy for Nagoya Grampus, and he’s a legendary guy. He was originally from Serbia, the former Yugoslavia, and he was the coach of the Serbian national soccer team until October of this year , but he quit in October. He had a long career with Nagoya, and he ‘s often described as a super new Japan team, and a big fan of that Japanese flavor. But he’s 60 years old. Yes. I’m sure even people who aren’t that knowledgeable about soccer know Stojkovic , and I thought he might play for a Japanese team. He didn’t. Well, there’s still a chance he might play, though. Yeah. Why is it that so many people here in the Balkans, the former Yugoslavia, have names like “Bitch” ? Yes. If things go wrong, it’s like everyone in your class is on the pitch. I remember seeing it on TV or something a long time ago, but it’s a pretty common name. Air Serbia has aircraft like the Airbus 3030. Also, the, well, the, well, the internal market is written in Chinese. English,, well, French, and Serbian. Oh, China’s current,, well, Serbia has a lot of control or influence, so it seems like Chinese is quite prioritized. And now, the in-flight colors have been handed out. I thought there would be nothing, but it’s Air Serbia water. Yes. Amazing. This is probably really Serbian water. And, I think there’s a sandwich. Yes. I was super hungry. All I’ve had this morning is that fried bread-like thing, so this is a relief. I was thinking about eating something as soon as we landed, but it looks like I’ll barely be able to hold out. They’re handing it out properly . Inside is ham, cheese, and pickles. Well, it looks typical . The cross section looks like this, and there’s almost no filling. It’s mostly bread. I was so hungry, I bought some chocolate. It cost about 2.50 yen. So I slept for about an hour. We were about to land. So, uh, we arrived at Belgrade Airport. Uh, about an hour and a half behind the country. It must be around noon now. There’s almost no difference between France and Serbia. We’re on the same time. We were being warned so much, the Chinese passengers were already standing up. It’s amazing that they’re finally allowed to fasten their seatbelts. Thank you. Thank you. So, this is my first time in Serbia. First of all, I’ll go through immigration. I’ll go through immigration. And so, my first time in Serbia was complete. At immigration, there are automated gates, but Japanese people can’t use them. Apparently, Americans, British, Italians, and French people can go, but Japan is a bit out of the ordinary, so my friend, uh, uh, there’s an inspection, but I have a question. Uh, I’m sick, so I didn’t say a word. Then, after that, there was a bit of a hassle, like a baggage inspection, and most people’s bags were opened. My bag wasn’t opened, but there was a bit of a queue, and then, well, that was it. So, while I was waiting for my bag to come out, I bought a SIM card. I’ll put up a picture here, but it was 100GB for 4 days, about 500 yen, so I got the E immediately , but, um, I bought it. Yes, I have an iPhone 17 Pro. So, the physical SIM card doesn’t fit in there. They only sell SIM cards. I was worried about what I’d do if I didn’t have any e-mails at all, but then, um, I thought I’d try the web or app thing, and they were selling them at the airport, and they were really cheap, too. Yes. I bought that. And I also just withdrew 10,000 yen in cash. Um, from my card . The fee was 300, so I thought, well, I’ll just take about 450 yen. So I have about 15,000 yen on me now. Arrived. Well, this is what the floor looks like. I guess the YANEXGO app is the mainstream after all. There seem to be a few different options , but the atmosphere is definitely Russian. I wonder if the language they’re speaking is similar too ? Oh, I heard “spaci bar.” Yeah. I think I’ll go for a smoke. Hey, there are a lot of taxis. Oh, it’s not that cold. It’s a little warmer than Paris. I’m smoking a cigarette and thinking about how to get there. I think I can probably get close by taking that bus to the city and then transferring. Google Maps is totally fine, so I could get there. The only other option is a car. There’s no train, and I have to go into the city to get to Ram. There doesn’t seem to be any subways , though. I’ve already booked a hotel, a Marriott-affiliated courtyard in the city center. It cost about 36,000 points for 200 yen. That’s pretty cheap, I thought. I’ll be staying at a different hotel for the last night, but I’ll be staying in Belgrade for a total of three nights. That ‘s pretty much it, so I’m thinking about getting to the hotel and taking a break. I have an internet connection, but the dentist app, Yandex, and the taxi app I have installed aren’t responding properly, or rather , they keep stopping. I think it would be a waste of time to just go to the hotel , so I think it would be better to work on the hotel’s Wi-Fi, and even if it’s expensive, should I take a taxi? I have about 10,000 yen, so I think I should be able to. Actually , I wanted to use the app, but… Yes, this taxi company installed this app, but… It didn’t work. Anyway, I took a taxi. Apparently, the taxi fare from the airport is already set for each zone of the city, and there’s a police officer next to me . I don’t know if he’s in on it or not, but he said, “No, it’s already set at 3,500 ,” so I thought, but when I looked closely, it’s written there. Yes. For Zone 2, it’s 3,500. Why isn’t it a lie? This is probably the price drop , or rather, it’s set, right? This is my first time in Serbia. It feels like I’ve been to a new country for a long time. I’m excited. It’s so refreshing. Also, it’s warmer than I expected, and it feels like spring. It’s not cold at all. The city and the airport are actually pretty close— only about 10 or 15 kilometers apart. But there’s no train. I still don’t understand how dependent this country is on China . I guess I should say it’s incredibly slow . Well, it feels like a Soviet-style country. So, we arrived about 30 minutes from the airport. It’s right in the middle of town. This court, er, the hotel is called Belgrade City Center. Right, let’s go in. It’s central. It’s amazing. There are quite a few people here. And it feels amazing. The city. It’s been a while since I’ve been so excited. Also, all the women are beautiful. It’s amazing. The food looks delicious, too. I’m super hungry. I checked in, but they told me my room wasn’t ready , so I guess they were upgrading me, but they asked me to wait 10 minutes . They sell a lot of traditional ethnic items. It’s the one from Bohemian. The sun is amazing. Oh, and he’s so polite with a big smile . Yes. See, they speak English properly and sell a lot of drinks and stuff, but there’s no lounge. It’s cheaper than the flight we took earlier. But I think Serbia is really great. For traveling. So much better than Italy, Germany, or France. Yeah. It looks like it’ll be comfortable. So, check-in is complete. I go to my room. 204. Oh, is it a corner room? Oh, it’s not a corner room. This is it. Yes. I’ll go in. Oh, I thought this was 204 but it’s actually 206. That’s a common thing when you’re abroad, where numbers can be hard to understand. Ah, I’m in. So, I went into my room. It feels like I’m filming a video introducing the rooms of a hotel I’ve been to for a while. It’s like this. I don’t think there will be any upgrades. Yes. It’s an all-non-smoking hotel, so I was told to only smoke outside and on the terrace . That’s enough. Yes. The room is clean. And I’m grateful. There was a proper welcome gift. I wonder if this is chocolate, some small items, and a letter, but the view is not that great. Yes. There are all kinds of restaurants and shops around here. It’s also a common pattern these days. It’s the same in Serbia . They don’t provide bottled water, so you have to make your own. Yes. There’s no bathtub, though. Oh, but it’s really spacious. The toilet and shower . Yes. It’s wonderful. It’s clean. Sparkling clean. There are amenities, oh, there are amenities . The toothbrushes and razors are also amazing. I have the impression that they’re not common in Europe, but they’re wonderful. Wonderful. They have those pressure-soled ones, like Chinese slippers . There they are. I wonder if Serbian currency looks like this. I think the largest one is 1000. I think there were 5000. Yes. Like this. Most people use cash. Buses and taxis cost cash, so I think it’s fine to buy a one-day bus ticket, but it seems like there aren’t many that accept IC cards yet. Anyway, I managed to get into Serbia safely and made it to the hotel , so I guess that’s enough for today. It’s getting a little dark, but it’s only 3:20 PM. The days are really short. Right . But like I said, I haven’t eaten anything today. I only had bread at the airport and on the plane, so I’m super hungry. And I feel like I’m getting a little better. Compared to America, after the Taiwanese cushion, Europe is definitely a lot easier. There’s a two-hour difference between Japan and Europe , so it’s six hours from Tokyo, which makes it eight hours behind Japan. It’s like this, and if it was about eight hours, it would still be fine, but it’s the complete opposite in America, so it’s a bit tough during flexible hours, but I’m not that sleepy right now . I’m kind of starting to get back into it , you know. My body’s starting to get used to it. Yes. Since I got this, I’ll have this Fanta-like thing. It’s a bit sad that there’s no bottle button. I’d rather have water. This is Fanta. Yes. It’s sweet. Is this chocolate? I don’t eat much of the amenity or welcome things these days, but I’m a bit hungry, so I’ll have some. Six chocolates. Yes. It’s not that tasty. So, this is the Courtyard Hotel. The restaurant is on the second floor, and there’s terrace seating here, and you can smoke there, but I learned a shocking fact. There’s a trolley bus parked right in front of me . Also, if you go towards the city, there are a few more trams and regular buses , but since January of this year, all public transport in Belgrade has been free. Apparently, it’s free for anyone, foreigners, tourists, and locals, no matter how many times they ride. Well , I said earlier that it’s a pain to pay with cash just to ride the bus, and that you can’t pay by tapping. But they’re trying to eliminate that and make everything free because of the terrible traffic congestion. As part of their efforts to streamline transportation, they made it completely free starting in January of this year. So you can go wherever you want without worrying. Well, there ‘s no subway, so it’s a bit tricky, but they ‘re not all mora-operated, so I didn’t know you could ride for free . Also, there were a few around this hotel, and, well, this is Serbia, and there are countless 24-hour casinos because of the casino report . It’s a little early, but I think I’ll go get some food and then check out the casino. So, I’m planning to do some main filming tomorrow, so I’ll probably do that in the next video, but today I’ll just take a quick look around the city. Anyway, it’s about 4pm now , so I thought I’d go for an early dinner. There was a place nearby with a Google rating of, uh, 4.9, so I thought I’d go for a bite, a place that serves, uh, Serbian food. Well, I think it’s mainly a tourist spot, but the reviews were good, so I’ll go for my first one. It’s nice. The atmosphere is great. It’s really stylish. This world is definitely better after all. People say Europe is poor, but I definitely think it’s better. The restaurant I was looking for was about a three-minute walk from my hotel, so I’m looking forward to it. There are lots of stylish-looking shops. The security is also great. Yeah. I ‘d mentioned that when I was doing my research, but it’s so much more relaxing than walking around France. There are lots of convenience stores, too. Oh, here it is. This restaurant. This hamburger-like thing. It must be popular. The main dish is Serbian. I also think this cheese and tomato salad is really delicious. I was shown to a terrace seat. He said he wanted this one, and it has a really peaceful feel to it. The old man smokes, though. I’m not sure what to order, so I’ll ask the staff before making a choice. I’m really hungry, so I want something meaty . So, I asked the kind guy for a recommendation, and he recommended this hamburger-like thing with cheese, 250g, for 950 yen, which is just a little over 1000 yen. He said this or the regular one is the best , so I went with the cheese. And the salad, Serbian-style, with tomato, cucumber, onion, and cheese. It was 400 yen. They asked me to choose some sauces to go with it, and they said this was their top recommendation . They had cream cheese, hot pepper, and garlic sauce for 120, and apparently cabbage, onions, and garnish mayonnaise were free. I just ordered whatever was available. A bottle of Nogas mineral water was 150. It ‘s generally really cheap for a 500ml. Yeah. At a regular restaurant, like the one in France I just went to, just ordering a drink costs about 1000 yen. A 204 or something like that is 240DR, and a beer is 280, so that’s 1.5300 yen, or about 400 yen. Desserts are also cheap. They’re only 300 or 400, so even if you order a lot, the bill isn’t too big. They also said they accept credit cards, so that was perfect. So I came. It looks incredibly delicious. It feels like it weighs a bit more than 250g. It’s kind of the size of a Bikkuri Donkey hamburger steak. It’s really sticky and meaty . This is Serbian salad. It came with one piece of bread with the Serbian salad, but apparently they give you as much as you want. I think this is mayonnaise. Then, this, uh, finely chopped onion and this sauce, and then this cabbage. Wow, you get some vegetables too. It’s the best. So good, so good, so good. Looks so delicious. So good. Looks so good. I’m getting really excited. Oh, wow, it’s amazing. There’s loads of cheese in this. Wow, this looks super delicious. So good. I thought it was a hamburger steak, but it’s meat too. W-what is this? Makran looks so good. Hot and steaming Makshi. Mmm. Meaty. Super delicious. So damn delicious. I could eat this forever. Take a look. It looks like this. There’s plenty of cheese, too. But it’s not too heavy. Light, yet meaty meat. Amazing. Super tasty. Serbia is the best. This is delicious. And the salad. Lots of cheese. Yeah. Delicious. Such a simple seasoning. Lemon and olive oil. Delicious. The bread is amazing. Apparently it’s good to cut a few slits in it and eat it like a hamburger. It seems like everyone does that. It looks kind of like a cockachan. Delicious. Amazing. It’s kind of chewy, like a ponde de ring. Yeah. I could eat this forever. I think it’s delicious enough just by putting the vegetables in between like this. I love veggie sandwiches. Wow, this is good. Delicious. Honestly, it’s better than France. No, I’m glad I got tired of it. Serbia. I’ll wait for more details tomorrow, but food-wise it’s perfect. There were some Japanese touches, too, so I’d probably get tired of it if I ate it every day. It was a hit. This restaurant is super tasty. Okay, so it was incredibly delicious. I’m totally stuffed. My total bill was 1770, I think. But then the guy gave me a 1500 yen discount . He asked me where I was from, and I said Japan, and he said, “Oh, Japanese,” and gave me a 270 yen, dinar discount, I think. It was cheaper than I’d calculated. Okay. So I’m very satisfied. I’m not sleepy yet, so I’m full, so let’s go for a walk around town. I thought it would be much colder. The weather is so lovely, like autumn in Japan. Everyone’s dressed like they’re going to be pretty cold, but I ‘m not that cold in Atsugi. Anyway, I’ll be walking around a lot tomorrow, too, on this street here. There’s a huge plaza right in front of the hotel that’s bustling. Everyone’s like, “Oh, Japanese.” Everyone’s like, “Oh, Japanese.” They really do eat out a lot, huh? There were a lot of families, couples, and friends eating on the terrace. Ah, this place. I was torn. I initially thought of staying here. It’s right in the Hotel Indigo IHG. It was pretty cheap, too. I think it was around 20,000 yen. I ended up paying around 30,000 points, so I went for the higher yard. When you walk around these main areas, you’ll see Uniqlo and Muji, but they’re not even here. There’s an H&M, but they have a wide variety. I guess Celebi hasn’t really expanded into chain stores. When I come to the Communist Party, they often sell chestnuts , and they’re chestnuts, too. I saw that in Paris, too , and the roasting smell is amazing. There aren’t many Asians here, but there are a few Chinese here and there. I don’t think there are any Japanese people here, but apparently there are only about 300 Japanese people living in Serbia. I think there are quite a few Chinese people . I’ve been walking along chatting away and with that video running, but I wonder how far this street goes? It’s really long. I’ve kind of fallen in love with Serbia. I never thought it would be this comfortable. The average monthly income of people in Serbia is around 60,000 to 100,000 yen. But Serbian people seem so much happier. Does it really go that far? This downtown area, I guess. There are the same number of people wherever you go. Seriously, I just keep staring at all the cute girls. This street is nothing like that. There aren’t many Chinese shops like those in Chinatown. I haven’t seen one yet. I wonder if they separate the areas? There are some people who are really excited. Also, is this a shopping mall? A shopping center. Everyone looks like they’re having a great time. I wonder why so many young people are gathered here. Do they have nothing to do? Sorry. Well, I’m just taking a selfie, but aren’t there really so many beautiful women? They all have great figures and are just too well-proportioned. I’m jealous. The ugly details are really noticeable. I’ll explain in more detail tomorrow. Anyway, I’ll take a closer look at the city in another video . So, let’s go to the casino now. I’d like to go to the casino and relax for a bit, having a coffee. Can you relate? This former Soviet Union building, originally a socialist country, has a really nice atmosphere. Socialist countries have a nice atmosphere. I know I might sound like a traitor if I say this, but it’s nice. You know, there were so many beautiful people there that I almost felt small while taking photos, and there weren’t many overweight people. There were quite a few big men, but all the women were incredibly stylish and tall. Serbians, or rather, people of this ethnic group, were concentrated there, which is the same in Japan. So, the security situation seems good, and there are definitely few delinquents—how should I put it?—it feels like everyone is all Serbian. Actually, I don’t think that’s true, but this was the most fun country I’ve been to recently. I haven’t been to many new countries, so this restaurant is really stylish, and the nightlife is great. Amazing. And, you can order something reasonably priced. I’m not broke anymore. I have a bit more than I used to. But even so, when I go to France, I’m like, “Oh, this costs 10,000 yen,” but I can eat whatever I want with confidence. And it’s delicious. It’s so developed. But the buildings are pretty old. There’s a nice contrast, and there are so many amazing people. Well, it’s the most prosperous place, so it’s really cool. Serbia is super cool. Also, I guess the war had an effect on it. There seem to be a lot of young people here. There are a lot of good-looking guys, both men and women. I wonder why everyone has such great figures. When I go to Europe, I always see a lot of overweight people like me, but there aren’t any here. Everyone’s really tall, skinny, and muscular, and the women are all like models, I wonder why. Also, they’re very stylish. The clothes are so stylish I could walk around here forever. This Subaru is nice too. There ‘s a sunlit seating area outside where you can smoke. The word “sta” is written like this. They only sell cigarettes. It’s definitely influenced by Russia. It almost feels like I’m walking through a square. The atmosphere is amazing. I’m walking around thinking that if Russia were a little more normal, or if it weren’t like that system, it would probably be something like this, with a lot of Western culture incorporated and freedom. So, does this casino only have slots? Let’s go in anyway. You have to be 18 or older to enter, but I’ll give it a go. So, I just went to the casino and bought a coin. Yes. Why only about 1,000 yen? It’s about enough to cover the cost of the machines and the accommodation. Well, the stay would probably cost a little more. I had a good time. Yes. It wasn’t so much that I could make a profit, but I actually invested a few thousand yen, but it was a way to kill some time, enjoy the casino, and refresh myself by having some fun. It was fun. This is some kind of soccer thing, you play while playing something, but apparently you can take pictures. They said it was okay to take pictures. Well, that ‘s about it for now. I think I’ll sleep well tonight. Let’s get something to drink. Oh, it’s really cheap. 90 Dhs per bottle of Fanta is cheap. 2L of water. This is the one I had at the bar earlier. Is this 1L or 1.5L? Something like 69. Pepsi is 74 too. That’s cheap. I didn’t buy it, but 1.5L of orange juice was 191. So I went back to the hotel. I just did some shopping at a local supermarket, and everything was 420DR, so I guess I can think of it as about 600 yen. It’s a little pricey in Japan, but it’s reasonable in Europe. So, I was on a flight with Serbian Airlines. I had this chocolate something, like a chocolate snack. It was so delicious that I bought it. I think it’s a Serbian snack. And, they also sold this a lot on planes . I was curious about it, but it was sold out by the time it got to me , so I went to the supermarket and bought it. I saw this thing being eaten a lot on Serbian Airlines planes. Everyone was having this with their coffee, so I was curious, maybe it was something like a Calorie Mate. Ah, that’s the kind of thing you have to eat once you open it. Ah, it smells like a really sweet milk. It smells like biscuits . Biscuits, I’m sure Djoko [__] and Stojko [__] eat this too. Yeah. Biscuits. The kind that sucks all the moisture out of your mouth. Yeah. But it’s simple and delicious . This is definitely a Serbian sweet. It represents it. So that’s it for today. From Paris, France to Belgrade , Serbia, we traveled and then arrived. Well, that’s a summary of what happened on the first day. Next time , I’ll stay in Belgrade for the main event, and give you my predictions after spending a day there , so I think I’ll end this video here for now. If you’d like, please leave your thoughts in the comments, like, and subscribe . Now, I’m off to bed. Good night. Ugh.
