【OPEN!】忖度なくホテルレビュー!開業2週間後のインターコンチネンタル札幌。豪華なクラブラウンジ、プール、客室、朝食もご覧ください。INTERCONTINENTAL SAPPORO OPEN!

Hello everyone. This is Tabizo Channel. I’m currently near Nakajima Koen Station on the Sapporo subway. Today, I’d like to introduce the first luxury hotel in Sapporo. The InterContinental Sapporo, which will open on October 1, 2025. This hotel is part of the IHG Group’s luxury hotel brand, which operates hotels of various categories around the world. This is the 11th hotel to open in Japan, following locations in Tokyo, Yokohama, Osaka, Okinawa’s Manza Beach, Ishigaki Island, Beppu, and Appi Kogen. Surprisingly, Sapporo is a city with few luxury hotels from foreign companies . Hilton and Hyatt have yet to open, and Marriott’s luxury brands also seem to have yet to enter. Meanwhile, the long-awaited InterContinental Hotel has finally opened. The entrance exudes luxury. Let’s enter through the front entrance. The lobby on the first floor is small and cozy. Surrounded by elegant furniture, it’s a lovely space enveloped in the tranquility of a museum. The hotel’s main lobby is on the ninth floor, so let’s head up there. We arrived at the lobby. A large piece of art representing the land of Hokkaido greeted us. The approach to the lobby space is uplifting. I wonder what kind of atmosphere we’ll encounter ? I ‘m looking forward to it. This is the main lobby on the ninth floor. A water basin sits in the center, soothing the sound of water. A forest-like garden appears. The name “WAKKA” in Ainu means water. It ‘s a soothing lobby space that truly evokes the earth of Hokkaido, reflecting the Ainu people’s lives in harmony with nature . Behind this lobby is another space with a completely different concept. This is an adult library lounge with dim lighting and chic furniture . At night, a fire is lit in the fireplace. The concept of this lounge is “APE,” which means fire in Ainu . The god of fire is a very important figure in Ainu culture. Apparently, this lounge was created with the Ainu people’s thoughts in mind. Further inside, we came across a third, very bright lounge. This lounge is “NITAY,” which means forest in Ainu. This is the restaurant’s No Bar Lounge , where you can enjoy afternoon tea and other leisurely sips while taking in the beautiful scenery . The view of the Toyohira River’s riverbank is stunning. I wonder if it’s covered in silvery white in winter? It’s a space where you can enjoy the changing seasons. Now, let’s move on to the guest rooms. The elevator hall is beautifully carpeted, evoking the image of Hokkaido’s white birch trees . Today, I’d like to introduce three types of rooms. First, I’ll start with the room where I stayed . Here you go. Let’s begin by introducing the rooms . This is the usual IHG wooden key. Let’s touch it and enter. The entrance is paved with stone, don’t you think? Let’s move straight to the back of the room. From here, the carpet begins. First, there’s the living room . There’s a large sofa where you can relax and watch TV. At the back is a twin room with a large bed. I was upgraded to a Premier Twin room today . Thank you. The room has a very elegant interior. There’s also a large window, letting in plenty of light. It has a lovely atmosphere, with a sofa like this placed by the window. I’ll show you the view later . The welcome amenities include Muscat grapes. Thank you. Then there’s the bedroom area, where there are two large beds . The interior here is also very elegant. The art is also very nice. It seems well-balanced. And here’s the green. It’s very elegant . And this night panel. It’s arranged vertically, which is an interesting design. The color is also elegant. The metal and green seem to go very well together . This is what it looks like from the other side. The board is made of wood, giving it a very calming impression. This sofa and large TV are nice. There seems to be a large speaker underneath. Now, I’d like to introduce the minibar area. First, there’s some beautiful art on top. The light on the spirits makes them look like works of art. This is apparently the hotel’s original whiskey. It’s arranged very beautifully. Below is water and tea utensils. A tea set. And here is a Nespresso red wine and other items. I’d like to open this door. There’s a refrigerator. Yes. The drawers open like a double door. First, let’s open the top drawer . They have some very beautiful, shiny cutlery and glasses. There are two types of glasses , and these are here too. These are very thin and light. They have an elegant silhouette. There are also two types here, which are lovely. Opening the second drawer… Wow, these are also beautiful, elegant teacups. They’re lovely. And then, at the bottom… Yes, there are plates, snacks, and a kettle. These plates are elegant. Very nice. And the refrigerator looks like this. There are various items in it, but Sapporo Classic Beer is about 900 yen. And below that, there are various items. This is apparently InterContinental Sapporo liqueur, and there’s another type, Apple. This one says Red Grape Liqueur . It says Black Grape. Interesting. Then there’s champagne and white wine , and this is InterContinental’s original champagne. They really pay attention to detail. There seems to be a good selection of refrigerators. Moving on, let’s move on to the bathroom. Turning this way, we reach the wet area . The lighting is very beautiful. The sink is double, so two people can get ready at the same time. It looks very deep. The amenities are Byredo. Here, too, there are glasses, mouthwash, rental kits, and other necessary amenities . This leads to the bathroom area. It’s glass-walled, with a rain shower on the ceiling and a hand shower. It has easy-to-understand buttons. The bathtub, meanwhile, is a luxurious stone design. It’s slightly stepped, which is convenient for sitting down. It also contains bath salts. It makes bathing feel luxurious. I’m sure you can enjoy a relaxing bath time. Going back, you’ll see a small shelf like this, and plenty of towels. The closet area is in front. There’s a luggage rack. Let’s open it up a bit. There’s a bathrobe. The inside is lined with towel fabric, which is nice. And it looks like this. It’s very soft to the touch . It doesn’t seem to have the InterContinental logo on it, but it’s a practical bathrobe that looks quite comfortable to wear. There ‘s also a bucket rack and a steel iron. And there are slippers. Now, let’s go to the next door. If you open it, you’ll see hangers and lots of wooden items. And if you open this one, you’ll find a safe. And here you’ll find a yukata. I think foreign guests will be very happy with it. It has a bold pattern. There’s a shelf here where you can spread out your luggage, and when you open it, you’ll find a gown. It’s made of a very soft cotton material. It comes in two separate pieces. It’s fun to have a variety of clothes to wear. There’s also a laundry bag. There’s also a brush. Opening this door reveals the toilet. The door opens automatically, and it’s equipped with a washroom. The soft lighting creates a stylish atmosphere. Finally, I’d like to show you the view. This room is filled with bright sunlight. I’ll open the curtains right away. On the left, there’s a very open view of the Toyohira River riverbed and the river. Nakajima Park is just a short walk from the hotel, and you can see the Shobu Pond from your room. It was a room with a wonderful view. The hotel kindly allowed me to see the standard room and junior suite, which I’ll introduce later in the program. Next, I’d like to visit the club lounge. I have IHG club lounge access, so I was able to use it. In fact , I was able to check in here while sitting back and relaxing . The club lounge seems quite small compared to other hotels . There doesn’t seem to be a lot of seating , but the interior is quite elegant and calming, with a counter bar and a stylish atmosphere. We were given a welcome glass of champagne upon check-in, which had the hotel’s original label, adding to the elegant atmosphere. Next, I’d like to introduce the afternoon tea. It was a luxurious experience, enjoying the magnificent view at an elegant table. The upper tier featured hotel-made sweets, including cakes, chocolates, scones, and yokan, while the lower tier featured a charming array of sandwiches and savory dishes. The dishes were all delicious. Cocktail time began in the evening. As the sun set, the night view became more beautiful. Let’s take a moment to look at the dishes on the buffet board. There were four types of cheese, served on crackers with five types of Hokkaido honey. It was a very luxurious and unusual experience. Balsamic vinegar and hotel-made bread were also on display. The salad featured large pieces of boiled corn, a Hokkaido staple. When I returned to my seat, a wooden box was served. It contained three tapas of the day. It was delicious. I enjoyed an elegant cocktail hour with the food from the buffet board and the sumptuous tapas . And this cone was so sweet and delicious. It’s truly Hokkaido. Original cocktails and mocktails were also available. And for fruit, they served us incredibly sweet melon from Hokkaido. It was amazing. We enjoyed the hotel-made cake and as much of the sweet melon as we wanted. The kiwis were also served, which were ripe and delicious. This lounge was quiet and quiet, allowing us to relax. I really liked it. This hotel also has an indoor heated pool on the 9th floor. It’s a rare sight for a Sapporo hotel. It’s 20 meters long. It’s a professional pool, but the temperature was just right, allowing for a comfortable workout and swim. During the day, the sunlight reflected off the water, creating a truly beautiful space. The pool is open until 9 p.m. The night pool had beautiful lighting, which was truly spectacular. There weren’t many guests on the day we stayed, so we had the pool all to ourselves. It was a truly wonderful pool, allowing me to relax both physically and mentally. You can also enjoy complimentary yoga and exercise sessions here in the early morning . I booked a yoga session, so I’ll introduce it to you later. Next to the pool is a 24-hour fitness gym. Compared to other InterContinental hotels, it ‘s quite compact. It seems to be designed primarily for strength training and fitness. Next, I’d like to briefly introduce the hotel’s restaurants and facilities. As you pass through the lobby, you ‘ll find the No-Bar Terrace on the right. This is a very rare addition for a Sapporo hotel. Depending on the season, you can enjoy meals and drinks here. And how will it be used in the winter? The general manager and general manager seem to be planning various things. It may not be ready in time for this winter, but it’s something to look forward to. And here is Sawaka, the specialty restaurant. This is a meticulous restaurant offering a gourmet experience that stimulates all five senses, combining Japanese and Western cuisine with ingredients primarily from Hokkaido. The chef has experience in both Japanese and Western cuisine, and it’s said to be a restaurant with exceptional skill. And here is Au Blanc, the all-day dining restaurant. Breakfast is also served here. I’ll introduce breakfast later . This is the main bar, No Bar. It has a cool, adult feel. They offer a wide variety of drinks, including mocktails and original cocktails using Hokkaido ingredients, as well as champagne and whiskey. They have some of Sapporo’s most renowned bartenders, so one of their charms is the opportunity to hear their stories. I tried the Otaru craft beer. The hotel’s club lounge is open until 10 p.m. After cocktail hour, you can enjoy soft drinks, coffee, and tea, which is convenient. It ‘s a wonderful space where you can also enjoy the Sapporo night view . I returned to my room and saw the turndown service. The hotel had prepared snacks like these for the night . I’m looking forward to enjoying a relaxing bath in my room and a good night’s sleep. Now, it’s morning. I ‘m going to try the poolside yoga class I’d reserved. Actually, I’ve never done yoga before, so this was truly my first experience. The instructor carefully taught me, focusing on stretching and regulating my breathing, and I was able to wake up feeling refreshed. Thanks to yoga, my body is in shape and I’m feeling hungry, so I’m ready for a delicious breakfast. I recommend morning yoga to everyone. Now, let me introduce the restaurant breakfast. It was at Au Blanc, the all-day dining restaurant. First, I was given a menu when I sat down. It seemed like I could choose my main dish. We started with egg dishes, including scrambled eggs and omelets . Then there were white eggs Benedi, fluffy ricotta pancakes , and Japanese French toast. Drinks, cold meals, fruit, salads, and bread were all available from the buffet. Let’s take a moment to take a look at the food . There were four types of juice, and I thought pineapple juice was unusual in Hokkaido. There were also five types of dried fruit. There were six types of cereal, which I thought was quite substantial. The salad bar was stocked with fresh salads, and the sweet corn, typical of Hokkaido, was a highlight. They also had bacon, ham, escabeige fish, and salmon. They also had 100% fresh orange juice, which was a nice touch. They also had three types of cheese and jam. Here you can see a row of hotel-made bread. This restaurant has an oven where they bake bread right in front of you. The savory aroma was irresistible. This German-made open kitchen space is so cool . The main course was served from here. Let me introduce the food. Fluffy ricotta cheese pancakes, brioche French toast with haskap sauce, and salads and hors d’oeuvres from the buffet board. This is white egg Benelik with truffle ham. The truffle aroma was irresistible. The corn bread was also very Hokkaido-esque and delicious. Finally, I tried the Japanese breakfast. Look at this thick piece of salmon, isn’t it? The rice was Nanatsuboshi from Hokkaido. It was delicious with tamagoyaki (rolled omelet), natto, miso soup, and seaweed . Next, I’d like to introduce the breakfast in the club lounge. The system is the same as in the restaurant. A la carte dishes are ordered, and there is also a semi-buffet. The menu looks like this. It’s almost the same , except that the pancakes that were available in the restaurant are gone. Instead , there seem to be Chinese and healthy breakfast options. Let’s take a look at the buffet board. There’s a chicken press that wasn’t available downstairs, and the cheese selection here is more luxurious. There’s also a seafood marinade, which wasn’t available in the restaurant. It’s luxurious, with large scallops. There’s also jarred jam, which wasn’t available in the restaurant. And five types of honey, which were available yesterday, which I think are quite luxurious. Beautiful-looking marmalade. The same bread is available as in the restaurant, with the same variety. I photographed a Chinese congee set, which isn’t available in the restaurant. It also looks delicious. And here’s my top recommendation for the lounge breakfast: the seafood marinade. Take a look. It contains a whole large scallop. It’s great to be able to eat so much of it. I think the breakfast options at the restaurant and the club lounge are pretty much the same at this hotel . If you want pancakes, head to the restaurant; if you want scallops, head to the club lounge . However, please note that the menu changes over time. Finally, I’d like to introduce the standard rooms and junior suites. First, the basic classic room. When you open the door, there are corridors to the right and left. If you go straight to the right, you’ll arrive at the bedroom. This is a 42-square-meter room, but it’s spacious. The minibar rack has the same design, but this one is longer. The design is almost identical to the Premier Room I stayed in . From here, you’ll reach the bathroom. It’s a hallway that leads back to the entrance. It appears to have a single sink . The glass-walled bathtub feels luxurious. I believe the bathroom design is the same as the Premier Room I stayed in. It’s also spacious and spacious. The toilet is separate . This is the basic room type, but it’s luxurious and spacious enough. It’s 8 square meters smaller than the Premier Room I stayed in, but it doesn’t feel that way. I think this room is also a wonderful one that I highly recommend. Next, I’d like to introduce the 72-square-meter Junior Suite. This is a corner room with two windows, offering a spectacular view . There’s a sofa set and a work desk by the window, creating a suite-like atmosphere. Going straight down the hallway, you’ll see a dresser where you can enjoy the bright sunlight . The bathroom is at the back. The bathroom, with its double sinks, is very stylish and cool, just like the tweet . It felt more spacious than the Premier Room I stayed in. This hotel offers a variety of room types, including the basic ① Classic Room , the ② Premier Room I stayed in, ③ Junior Suite, ④ One-Bedroom Suite, and the top-of-the-line ⑤ Serenity Suite . Reservations of Premium Rooms and above include lounge access . Today, we’ve introduced the InterContinental Sapporo, which will be grandly opening on October 1, 2025. What did you all think? I’d like to share my honest impressions of my stay. Please note that these are purely Tabizo’s personal opinions. First, regarding my overall impression of the hotel, it wasn’t the flashy and glamorous hotel I was expecting. However, the overall color palette was subdued and very elegant. The lounge with its fireplace and main bar had a very cool, adult-oriented design. The design also incorporated elements of Hokkaido’s natural environment, creating a relaxing atmosphere. I also found the hotel’s many small, intimate spaces, which made me feel like I was being invited into a private residence, a wonderful touch. Although I stayed only two weeks after the hotel opened, the staff were already quite experienced and provided a very polite and calm response . I was worried about the large number of foreign staff, but there weren’t many, and I was able to enjoy a relaxing, elegant stay without any major mistakes or stress. I was also impressed by the general manager, whom I’d met before. He’s very hands-on. He stands in various places, including the restaurant, front desk, and bell-ring, personally serving guests and monitoring the reactions of guests and the behavior of staff. Many other hotels have general managers who, to put it bluntly, act bossy and never get involved in the actual work, but this one is truly exceptional . He also communicates with the young staff on the ground, and I’m convinced that this general manager will make this a wonderful hotel. I also heard that this was the general manager’s idea, but there was a tasting of five types of Hokkaido honey in the club lounge. I thought that was interesting. There were also original champagne labels and original liqueurs. The room also featured beautiful Raynaud teacups and plates. I thought they were really tasteful. This alone made me realize how wonderful this hotel was. On the other hand, one thing that bothered me was the breakfast menu at the restaurant. Hotel breakfasts in Hokkaido are often very Hokkaido- inspired, with many offering extravagant breakfasts like seafood bowls. Competition is fierce, too. In that sense, this hotel didn’t really feel Hokkaido-esque. The restaurant’s food was delicious and very elegant, but my honest impression was that it was a little lacking. Other IHG hotels in Sapporo offer truly lavish breakfasts , so guests accustomed to those might find this hotel lacking. I mentioned this to the general manager, who seemed to understand and said he would make improvements in the future. I look forward to seeing him in the future. Anyway, thank you for watching this long video today. I also plan to upload videos about the Holiday & Suites Sapporo Odori Park, another IHG hotel that opened on the same day as this hotel . Please subscribe to my channel and stay tuned. Thank you for watching today. See you in the next video. Goodbye. Bye-bye.
