Today we visit Matsumae Castle and its sprawling grounds, including a replica village with reproductions of homes and businesses from long ago. On the way, our driver surprised us with a stop at the Sumo Wrestling Museum, which pays tribute to the current National Sumo Champion. Come along with us!

  1. Great stuff – like all your vids. Japan, one place I haven't seen …. yet! Loved the ice cream sequence in particular 🙂

  2. Wow beautiful footage. Big thumbs up from new friend # 909 cherry trees are gorgeous

  3. Chiyonofuji was actually the top champion back in the 1980's and retired in the early 90s – he died back in 2016. he's from hokkaido, which is why the musuem is there! (thanks for the footage of it! it's hard to find any!)
