格安切符「好きっぷ」を使って大阪から徳島へ｜南海電鉄、南海フェリー編
Good morning everyone. This time I would like to give you a quick report of my trip. I’m going to Tokushima by Nankai Railway and Nankai Ferry. I could get to Tokushima faster by bus, but I love trains and ferries, so I chose to go this way. I took the limited express Southern from Nankai Namba Station and arrived at Wakayama Port Station in about an hour. I took the railway ferry Nankai Ferry to Tokushima Port. It’s about a two-hour boat trip. If you use the “Sukippu” (a discount ticket), you can go from Namba to Wakayama Port and to Tokushima Port for 2,500 yen. Nankai Namba Station is a terminal platform, which means it’s a dead-end platform. It is the second largest private railway station in Japan and is a very large station. I love “Funeko” and when I see a “Funeko”, I can’t help but want to get on it. Well, shall we change our plans and go? The Rapi:t bound for Kansai Airport is stopped here. It’s cute with the Miyakumiyaku wrapping. I’m completely hooked now. Let’s leave Miyakumiya for now and get back to the main topic. There are only three direct Southern Express trains a day to Wakayama Port. I chose the 9:10am Southern Express to Wakayama Port. At 8:54am, the Southern Express arrived. The Southern Express, coming from Wakayama, let passengers off at platform 4, then cleaned the car, and the doors to platform 5 opened for boarding. Let’s take a look at the Southern Express for a bit. The last four cars are unreserved seats, and the interior is like a regular commuter train. And there are four reserved seats connected in front of the unreserved seats. These are seats that are typical of an express train. There is an automatic ticket vending machine for reserved seats, so you can buy a ticket here. It costs 520 yen. The usual seats at the very back were not available, so this time I took a seat in the middle of car 3. Now, let’s get on. When I entered the doors of the express train, I got excited. The reserved seats were empty, as no one seemed to be boarding. At 9:10, the Southern Express No. 9 departs for Wakayama Port Station. Since it is a reserved seat, I will bring out the table and eat the food I just bought! Oh, the old green painted car of Nankai passed by. We arrived at Izumisano Station. From here, you can take the Airport Line to Kansai International Airport. Izumisano is located almost halfway between Osaka City and Wakayama City, and is also where Kansai International Airport is located. I wonder how many Expo-spec Rapi:t cars there are? I saw two trains today. You can see the fifth tallest building in Japan, the SiS Rinku Tower. It is also famous for competing with the WTC building in Osaka Nanko for height. You can see the sea between Ozaki Station and Misaki Park Station. The Kinokawa Bridge is a truss bridge built in the Meiji and Taisho periods, and is a bridge with two single-track bridges. I really like railway bridges, and I especially like this truss bridge on the Kinokawa River on the Nankai Main Line. At 10:09, we arrived at Wakayamashi Station. The “Medetai Train” “Kanata” was stopped. The “Medetai Train” is a very cute train that runs on the Katasakana Line. When we departed from Wakayamashi Station, a foreign couple waved goodbye to us. The train runs along the Goodbye Ichibori River . When you see the distinctive red truss bridge, Aogishi Bridge, Wakayamako Station is right in front of you. We arrived at Wakayamako Station at 10:15. The funnel on the far left has the Nankai logo on it, which is the Nankai Ferry. When you put your ticket through the automatic ticket gate, it quickly turns into a ferry ticket, so be careful not to forget it. There is a footbridge leading to the ferry terminal, which protects you from the rain and wind, which is great, as you would expect from a railway ferry. This footbridge is also long, and even though there is a horizontal escalator, it is still quite a distance to the ferry terminal. The departure time was 10:35, and since I still had a little time, I went to see the Ferry Ai. It is a cute ferry with a white and blue line design, and an eye inside a heart. Now, let’s board the Nankai Ferry. I showed my ticket and they stamped it. And I was given a Nankai Ferry ballpoint pen as a thank you for filling out the questionnaire. I got on board. At the end of a strange deck covered with vinyl sheets was the entrance to the passenger rooms. Let’s go inside. It seems that unreserved seats are available from around here. It seems that the ship is about to depart, so I hurried out to the deck. The ship and the pedestrian bridge were just about to separate. There seems to be an observation deck above this deck, so I’ll watch the departure from here. We depart Wakayama Port at 10:35. It’s a short boat trip of 2 hours and 15 minutes, but I’m going to enjoy it. I’m off. It’s a small ferry, so it may accelerate well, but it feels fast. I can see the red arch of Aogishi Bridge that I saw from the train earlier. The ferry leaves Wakayama Port, and the wake is pretty nice. It has a rudder. It’s nice that there’s a gimmick that kids will enjoy. If you can’t stand the heat, why not roll around on the air-conditioned ship? This time, I’ll try the women’s carpeted seats. I’m glad we had the whole ship to ourselves. For short routes, carpeted seats are nice to roll around on. Excuse me, but you can see my socks in the picture. These are socks I bought at the Expo. I didn’t really like Miyakumiyaku, but now I love them. I wonder if they cast some kind of magic on me. I filled out the questionnaire I was given before boarding with the Nankai Ferry pen I was given. I put the one I wrote in the questionnaire collection box. Let’s take a look at the other seats. These are regular carpeted seats. The women’s seats were pink, but the regular seats were color-coded blue. There was also a sofa seat like this. At the bow of the ship were chair seats with seats like those on express trains. You can see the front view from the round window. There is also a business corner, which seems convenient for people who use computers. In the most spacious area, there was a family seat with a table and chairs. There was also a counter seat with a table and an outlet by the window. It seems that the Naruto Summer Festival is held on August 7th. There are no shops open, so the only food on board is cup noodles, bread, and sweets. There was a crane game just for decoration. We will soon see Numashima, floating off the coast of Awajishima, so let’s go out onto the deck. The island we can see now is Awajishima. It looks like this on Google Maps. Today is a very nice day with no waves, perfect for a ferry. It was very hot on the deck, but the blue sky, mirror-like water surface, and sea breeze on this vast ocean were very pleasant. Numashima came into view on the right ahead. It is said that this Numashima is an island that is said to be the “Onokorojima” that appears in the “Myth of the Creation of the Country”. Around Numashima, we pass the Nankai Ferry’s “Katsuragi”. I wish it would get a little closer and give us a whistle greeting. I could see the Onaruto Bridge, but it was not even visible because it was closed, so I couldn’t even see its silhouette. I could see Mt. Bizan. Mt. Bizan, which is also written in the Manyoshu as “Awa no yama, seen in the clouds like eyebrows,” is a symbol of Tokushima. After passing the bridge pier of the Tokushima Nanbu Road, we arrived at the Tokushima Port of Nankai Ferry. We entered Tokushima Port at 12:50. Since we entered the port from the bow, the docking was very smooth. We disembarked. It was a 2 hour and 15 minute boat ride, but it seemed to pass by in a flash, and I wish we could have stayed on board for a little longer. This “Sukippu” is recommended because it is a good deal to get from Osaka to Tokushima. As expected of Tokushima, even the sign has Awa Odori . This is the Tokushima Port Ferry Terminal and “Ferry Ai”. Let’s get closer to “Ferry Ai”. The bow of the ship opens wide, and vehicles can enter from here. If you are boarding by car or motorcycle, you can board the ferry at the drive-through at Tokushima Port. This is convenient and nice. There are two buses per hour to Tokushima Station, so it’s convenient. I took one late because I wanted to take a picture of the ferry. The Tokushima City Bus takes about 20 minutes to Tokushima Station. The fare was 250 yen. When I got on the 13:25 bus, the “Ai” was just circling. This is the end of this “Nankai Railway, Nankai Ferry Edition”. Next time, I’ll be riding my favorite JNR-type diesel car from Tokushima Station. I’m looking forward to it! けんちゃんさんが南海フェリー動画を上げたあとに、あかぐまさんが同じ南海フェリー動画を上げていてびっくりしました。
長距離のフェリー旅ができない時に、短距離のフェリー旅ができるのはありがたいと思うのと同時に、大阪や神戸はいろんな航路があって、選択できるのは大阪や神戸に住んでいる人ならではですね。
２時間前後の短い船旅でもワクワク感があって楽しいですね。
次回の動画も楽しみにしています。

南海ラピート万博ラッピング車両もいい感じですね。ラピート号は関空が出来た頃に初めて乗りました。6/29から「PEANUTS×STARLUX」のラッピング車両が走っているのでそれを撮影しに行こうかなと考えています。絵柄はスヌーピーです。ただそのラッピング車両は１編成なので難波駅何時発なのか不明。多分11時台かなと思うのですが、解くのは南海だけあって難解です。ラピート号は何回乗っても早くて快適です。ところで南海難波駅って何階にあったかな？毎日「なんか、いい事あったらなぁ」と考えている今日この頃です🥳

南海フェリーの「あい」ですね。割合新しい船ですがどこかレトロ感がある作りが印象的でした。船内には「I」「藍」「愛」のエンブレムがあって、ちょっとした宝探し感も味わえます。最初乗ったときは船じゅうがパンダでしたが、次に乗ったときはほとんどなくなっていました。
ふねこは難波にもいるのですね。さすがかくれんぼ上手。「好きっぷ」は最初「こうきっぷ」と読んでいましたが「すきっぷ」と読むと知って脱力してしまいました。
大阪〜徳島行く時は絶対このパターンが楽ですわ
昭和の時代、徳島の人が初めて電車に乗るのは南海電鉄が8割くらいだったそうです
でもって昔は徳島港じゃなく小松島港に発着してて日本一短い国鉄の小松島線がありました

南海電車さんは今まで、2度くらいしか乗ったことがありませんが、好きっぷはかなりお得ですね〜指定券の券売機もあるので、買いやすそうですね〜折れ戸も懐かしいですね😊
和歌山港には人道橋があるのも、動く歩道があるのもとても便利ですね。荷物を持っていても勝手に動いてくれますし😊
徳島への車での移動も安全で便利ですね🛳️

私は以前徳島まで高速バスで行った事があります。その時に気になっていたのが、南海フェリーでした。この動画を拝見して、次回徳島に行くときは、利用したいと思いました。以前は船内の売店が営業していたそうです。大昔は？は、徳島側の寄港地が、小松島だったそうです。この動画の後が、鳴門への往復乗車された、「生きた化石」キハ40、47の動画だったんですね。
