: http://rabbit-island.info/

: http://www.takeharamarine.com/cruising/

〇 The island with the tower in the center is Rabbit Island. It’s a 15-minute boat trip from our port here. For timetables and fares, please check the official website: http://rabbit-island.info/en/

〇 Tadanômi Port Promotion Video [Official]: https://youtu.be/dIb899NmEA4

〇 This live camera view features three “Japan’s No.1” spots.

〇 The tower in the center is the tallest transmission tower in Japan, standing at 226m.

〇 The island looming in the center background is Omishima, located in Ehime Prefecture, having already crossed the prefectural border to Shikoku, and is home to 90% of Japan’s national treasures related to armor, including Yoshitsune’s Naginata – a national treasure of Japan and belonged to the famous samurai warrior Minamoto no Yoshitsune, known for its exquisite craftsmanship. Additionally, the Oyamazumi Shrine, one of the strongholds of the Murakami Navy, is also situated on this island.

〇 At the right edge of the island to the right of Rabbit Island (behind the streetlamp head), you can see a glimpse of the horizon. In this island-filled part of the Seto Inland Sea, it’s a rare spot where the horizon is visible for a few kilometers to the west.

〇 The bridge visible in the rear left is the Tatara Ohashi Bridge. The center is the prefectural border and it’s the longest cable-stayed bridge in Japan. The view from the bridge while driving or cycling is beautiful, but the sight of looking up from directly under the bridge deck while on a private cruise is also overwhelming: http://www.takeharamarine.com/cruising/
On a clear day, you can see the Shikoku Mountains in the background behind the bridge.

〇 The small island at the foot of Tatara Ohashi Bridge is Hyotan Island. It is said to be one of the models for the NHK puppet show Hyokkori Hyoutan-jima, and is also known as the shortest land border in Japan. In fact, Hiroshima and Ehime are connected not just by sea but by land as well.

〇 At the right edge of the island visible to the right of Rabbit Island (behind the streetlamp’s lamp head), you can see a small part of the horizon. In this island-dense area of the Seto Inland Sea, this is a rare spot where the horizon becomes visible, only for a few kilometers to the west.
