【函館観光】1泊2日で絶対外せない王道グルメから人気スイーツまで味わう!満喫のモデルコース

This video introduces a 2day, 1night itinerary for a must-try gourmet experience in Hakodate. We hope it will be helpful for those planning a trip to Hakodate. We enjoyed every bit of Hakodate’scuisine, from a luxurious sea urchin bowl at the Hakodate Morning Market, to the Lucky Pierrot, Yakitori bento (a Hakodate specialty) at Hasegawa Store, popular conveyor-belt sushi, and exquisite Hakodate sweets. This channel features a husband and wife team enjoying their various hobbies. If you enjoyed the video, please subscribe. This is the beginning of our 2day, 1night gourmet trip to Hakodate. Please enjoy until the end. “Happiever Channel” This time, we departed from Haneda Airport. We arrived on a flight arriving at Hakodate Airport at 11:05 AM. If the weather is clear, you can enjoy a short sightseeing flight over Tokyo. The Skytree is visible. One hour after takeoff, Mount Hakodate and the city of Hakodate came into view. Our Hakodate sightseeing plan included half-day stays on both the first and second days. We followed a pre-planned itinerary. Here are some travel instructions for Hakodate City. There are two bus options heading to Hakodate Station: the express shuttle bus and the local bus (Route 96). Here’s the express shuttle bus timetable (omitted after 1:10 PM). We took the shuttle bus, which takes 20 minutes from the airport to Hakodate Station. There’s a bus stop right after leaving the airport, so board from platform 3. The airport shuttle bus departs at times consistent with arriving flights, but if you’re worried about crowds, we recommend lining up at least 10 minutes before departure. We arrived at Hakodate Station in 20 minutes, just as planned. The Hakodate 1Day Pass cannot be used on the shuttle bus,
but you can pay with a credit card. Although it was late September, the leaves were beginning to change color. It was windy and cool. On the right is Ekimae Yokocho (commercial shopping mall), and on the left is the Ekimae Morning Market. Our first stop was the Hakodate Morning Market. We had a sea urchin bowl at Kikuyo Shokudo,
a restaurant in the market we’d researched beforehand. Kikuyo Shokudo also has a branch inside New Chitose Airport. Established in 1956, they use carefully selected Hokkaido rice, cooked in a kamado (traditional Japanese cooking stove), with a sticky, glossy texture and a chewy sweetness. (Staff member) The sea urchin and salmon roe are already seasoned, so please eat them as is. (Staff member) Please pour soy sauce over the scallops. The sea urchin is made without alum. Let’s eat . The raw sea urchin is very sweet, and it melts in your mouth the moment you put it in. Is it delicious? The sea urchin is incredibly delicious. The scallops were about this thick. I didn’t want to waste the sea urchin, so I ate it little by little. The shrimp was fresh, very sweet, and incredibly delicious. It was a bit disappointing that the toppings got warm on the warm white rice. I was able to enjoy fresh sea urchin and shrimp for less than 3,000 yen. Thank you for the meal . Our accommodation, JR Inn Hakodate, is directly connected to Hakodate Station, providing convenient access to sightseeing and boasting a large communal bath and an open-air bath. We then visited the Old Ferry, located about five minutes from the hotel. The Old Ferry served between Hakodate and Aomori from 1965. With a total length of 132 meters and a top speed of 33 km/h(20.5 m/h), it took 3hours and fifty minutes to travel between Hakodate and Aomori. Premium seats from the original Seikan Ferry are on display, and you can even sit in them. Manager and crew uniforms are on display, and in the salon, you can take commemorative photos wearing them. Oh, the bird ate some fish! From the deck, you can enjoy a panoramic view of Hakodate’s cityscape and harbor. The Seikan Ferry service came to an end with the opening of the Seikan Tunnel in 1988. After a 15-minute walk, we arrived at the Red Brick Warehouse. The Kanemori Red Brick Warehouse is divided into four buildings. The Kanamori Akarega Warehouse was built in 1909. It’s a tourist symbol of Hakodate, with numerous shops selling miscellaneous goods and gourmet food. In addition to selling Hakodate-exclusive products, they also offer craft-making experiences. Hakodate Wine strives to create Japanese wines that suit the Japanese palate. They craft casual yet authentic wines with Japanese tastes in mind. Introducing Hakodate Sweets (First Store): Petit Merveille. Petit Merveille, beloved in Hakodate for 30 years, takes its name from French, meaning “Little Wonder” . We enjoyed their signature Mel Cheese in the eat-in area. Merveille’s most beloved sweet, “Mel Cheese,” is a light, bite-sized cheese soufflé. Mel Cheese comes in nine flavors, including plain, strawberry, and chocolate. The moment you put it in your mouth, the rich cheese aroma fills your mouth. The second is chocolate. Is it delicious? It has an incredibly rich chocolate flavor. We’ll try their new strawberry butter sandwich. The crispy cookies were filled with a generous amount of strawberry buttercream. The cream was refreshing and delicious, with plenty of strawberry pulp. This shop sells beautiful interior goods, including stained glass. The vibrant colors of the natural light were beautiful. The Starbucks in Hakodate was a stylish building. From the terrace seats, you can enjoy a cafe while watching the ocean illuminated by the setting sun. Have you heard of Hasegawa Store,
a local convenience store in Hakodate? Their Yakitori bento, made in-house, is very popular. There’s an order counter right when you enter the store. Once you’ve decided on your menu, fill out an order form. I ordered the most popular “Yakitori bento”. It’s called a Yakitori bento, but it’s actually skewers of grilled pork on rice. The delicious aroma of the sauce really whetted my appetite. They also sold bento boxes with the same design as the yakitori bento. They were surprisingly large. A chopstick case. A concrete utility pole built over 100 years ago. Made of concrete as a fire prevention measure, it is still used as a utility pole 100 years later. Introducing Hakodate Sweets (Second Store): Snaffles. Established in Hakodate in 1998.
Their cheese omelet is a popular item. The buffet is set up around a counter. The cake’s backing paper serves as a spoon. Fluffy? Yes. It has a soft, melting texture and a mild cheese flavor. For those who like rich cheese, we recommend the Mel Cheese, mentioned earlier! The cheese omelet comes with a mini hot coffee. A cooler bag set is also available. This strawberry-flavored cheese omelet. It is characterized by the fizzy sound it makes when you put a fork into it. It has a light and gentle flavor. Snaffles also sells authentic cakes. If you order from the cafe menu, such as cake, you can use the table seating in the back of the store. Aroma stones and coasters are available for purchase. The shop had a wide selection and was very enjoyable. Aroma stone corner. Lucky Pierrot, a restaurant chain with 17 locations in Hakodate, recently visited its Marina Suehiro branch, a floating restaurant in the Bay Area. The first thing you see is their most popular item: the Chinese Chicken Burger. The Chinese Chicken Burger contains a large piece of fried chicken. There was also a polar bear figurine, typical of Hokkaido. I ordered a Teriyaki hamburger steak, a Lucky Cheeseburger, a Lucky Potato, and a draft beer. Payment is accepted via QR code or cash. A seat with a great view was available. We toasted while watching the sunset! I ordered Lucky Pierrot’s specialty, the Lucky Potato and Teriyaki Hamburger and rice. I was surprised by how big the yolk was! The teriyaki sauce goes perfectly with everything, including the hamburger, potatoes, and vegetables, and is incredibly delicious. The Lucky Potato was topped with meat sauce and white sauce, creating a truly junky flavor. This is a hamburger from Lucky Pierrot. I ordered the Lucky Cheeseburger. It’s filled with tomato, meat sauce, cheese, and white sauce. How do I eat it?! It was so big that it was a bit difficult to eat. There was more cheese and white sauce than I expected, and it had a very rich flavor. The meat was thick and large, so it was very filling. The thick, crispy onion rings were a perfect match with beer. The sightseeing boat that offers a 30-minute cruise around Hakodate Port has returned. The hamburger was large, but I surprisingly ate it all in one go. Dinner at Lucky Pierrot was really delicious. The hearty, junky food and draft beer were absolutely delicious. In addition to hamburgers, Lucky Pierrot also offers omelet rice, yakisoba, curry rice, and, depending on the location, pizza. I’d love to come back to Hakodate just for Lucky Pierrot. Let’s take a look at the souvenir corner at Lucky Pierrot. They even had squid rice . It was made in Morimachi, a town famous for squid rice. From left to right: guarana, coffee, and energy drink. They have socks! I often buy local socks when I travel, so I bought some this time too. They also sell T-shirts with Lucky Pierrot designs. In addition to food, they have a wide selection of apparel, miscellaneous goods, and other souvenirs, which is great. The store also has plenty of photo spots! On to our next destination! We arrived at “Daimon Yokocho”, Hakodate’s food stall district. It’s about a 7-minute walk from Hakodate Station. The warm light of the lanterns is striking, and the area is bustling with people enjoying food, drinks, and conversation. Business hours vary by store, but many are open from 5:00 PM to around 11:00 PM. At the end of our first day, we went to Nemuro Hanamaru, a conveyor-belt sushi restaurant in front of Hakodate Station. We arrived before 8:00 PM, but there was a 40-person wait. They eventually closed the queue for the next customer. After more than an hour, it was 9:15 PM when it was our turn. You can check the real-time waiting list on their website. We took a bath at the hotel! If you get your numbered ticket in advance, you can use your time more productively. We had red sea bream, salted albacore, and sweet shrimp. It was late, so there weren’t many toppings. What a shame. The salted albacore had a firm flavor, almost sweet. I recommend trying both the seafood bowl and the conveyor-belt sushi. I was also very pleased with the conveyor-belt sushi. The hotel is right behind Hakodate Station, so it’s easy to find. Here are some souvenir shops near Hakodate Station. A Hakodate staple: Trappist monastery cookies. These buns are filled with white bean paste, egg yolk, and castella cake with a hint of rum. They’re shaped like Mount Hakodate. I saw some fresh Toba(Dried salmon jerky) at the market today. I discovered my favorite, Kazuchi. It’s the perfect snack with herring roe inside the cheese. Tomorrow morning, I’ll have breakfast at the hotel. Please subscribe to my channel♪ For breakfast at the hotel, what a surprise! “Conveyor-belt sushi” ?! Enjoy the hotel introduction video. Day two began with a look at the Hakodate Morning Market. It was my first time seeing whole salmon for sale! I spotted a dried salmon jerky (called ‘toba’ in Japanese)! Oh! It’s sea urchin! I discovered live sea urchin. Each one was huge. At the specialty shop Murakami,
you can enjoy fresh sea urchin( about¥6,000~). Hakodate is famous for squid, but I missed out on trying it. It’s fun to stroll around the morning market and see all kinds of seafood. I wonder how many takoyaki I can make! Donburi Yokocho has about 20 seafood bowl restaurants. It was bustling even though it was almost 10 o’clock. “Hakodate Morning Market Square” Morning Market Square has a history of over 60 years and was rebuilt into its current building in 2014. I sampled some squid snacks. They were smoked, soft, and delicious. There’s also an eat-in area at the market. After walking around, I started craving something cold! I stopped by a gelato shop in a corner of the market. A new shop opening in 2025! Enjoy homemade gelato made in-house using Hakodate milk. There are nearly 20 flavors available. I sampled the milk gelato. (Staff member) Everything is handmade here. (Staff member) It has a refreshing aftertaste because it doesn’t contain any preservatives or thickeners. Each flavor is based on milk gelato. The shop is located across from Lucky Pierrot Hakodate Station. I purchased haskap and pumpkin gelato. The richness of the milk and the tartness of the haskap are incredibly delicious! Haskap is said to have about three times the antioxidant power of blueberries. It has a gentle sweetness thanks to the inclusion of pumpkin pulp. I visited Ajisai, a local Hakodate ramen restaurant. It has a large seating capacity and fast turnover, making it a great choice for those pressed for time. Ajisai is a renowned Hakodate ramen restaurant founded in 1930. I was able to get in right away. The soup is clear yet rich and delicious. The ramen is characterized by the inclusion of gluten, which absorbs the soup thoroughly and makes it delicious. It absorbed a lot of soup. Hokkaido ramen is always so filling! Even the half-size portion was about the same as a regular serving. Definitely give Ajisai ramen a try! This was my second visit to Lucky Pierrot on this trip. I decided to buy a hamburger as a souvenir. There were about 20 customers in line just after noon. I recommend giving yourself plenty of time. The Hakodate Ekimae branch also has a great souvenir section. I also bought some souvenirs! I bought a teriyaki burger and a Lucky Cheeseburger. I’m really looking forward to eating them when I get home♪ I wonder where our next trip will be! I took the shuttle bus to the airport. The airport shuttle bus is popular, so I recommend lining up 15 minutes before departure! Here are some souvenirs from Hakodate Airport. “Rokka no Tsuyu” is a sugar-coated bonbon. It contains six types of jewel-like bonbons. The souvenir ramen corner also had the Ajisai ramen I had this time! Ready-to-eat curry from Hakodate’s Western restaurant, Gotoken. A chocolate-coated apple with a brandy aroma. Mont Blanc cream sandwiched between four layers of wafers. Royce’s Nama Chocolate. We offer a variety of chocolate flavors. Orange peel soaked in liquor coated in bitter chocolate. Four types of chocolate (62% cacao, raspberry pistachio, cacao nib, brown sugar macadamia) are paired with whiskey, aiming for the perfect pairing. A collaboration between roasted corn and Country Ma’am was also released! Many Lucky Pierrot products are available at the airport, including T-shirts, glasses, instant ramen, and retort curry. If you forgot to buy anything, you’ll likely be able to find it at the airport. Did you enjoy this Hakodate sightseeing video? We hope it helps you plan your trip to Hakodate.
