今回の旅先は奈良県桜井市にある『安倍文殊院（あべもんじゅいん）』です。
長閑な田舎にある小さな古刹ですが、本堂にある『渡海文殊群像（とかいもんじゅぐんぞう）』は5像全てが国宝であり御本尊の『騎獅文殊菩薩像（きしもんじゅぼさつぞう）』は日本国内にある文殊菩薩の中で最大です。
素晴らしい仏像以外にも四季折々の景色を見せてくれるお寺ですが、今の季節は境内のコスモスが満開になり美しい姿を見せてくれています🌸

Our destination on this trip is Abe Monjuin Temple in Sakurai City, Nara Prefecture.
It’s a small, old temple nestled in a tranquil countryside, but the five “Crossing the Sea Manjusri Bodhisattva” statues enshrined in the main hall are all national treasures, and the principal image, the “Lion Manjusri Bodhisattva,” is the largest Manjusri Bodhisattva statue in Japan.
In addition to the magnificent Buddha statues, the temple is also attractive for its beautiful scenery throughout the seasons, and at this time of year the cosmos flowers in the temple grounds are in full bloom, creating a truly spectacular sight🌸
