軽バンで半キャンプ!半車中泊! in会津美里町 蓋沼公園キャンプ場

Thank you for watching. My name is Ki. The weather was beautiful that day, and farmers were in the middle of harvesting rice. The golden rice, blue sky, and white clouds were truly beautiful, but as the rice disappeared, I felt a little lonely. As the seasons change quickly, I decided to sleep in my car again today. It was a perfect day for a drive. The mountains gradually drew closer. I headed up the mountain road. The amount of greenery suddenly increased. I was worried about the dirt on my windshield. I needed to wash it. My Every is a non-turbo, so the hills were tough. The engine was roaring away. I could see the management building. Today, I’m staying at Futanuma Forest Park Campground in Aizu-Misato Town. Wow. I can see far into the distance, lol. I’ll get out! I can see the entire Aizu Basin! I checked in at the management building. The auto site is super cheap at 1,040 yen per night. The site is a little far away, so the manager led the way. I’m grateful. (※Please be careful if you get motion sickness.) I was the only guest that day, so I was completely solo!! I felt a little sorry because when there are guests staying, the manager also stays there . The right side is a free site. I was told, “You can use this site freely, too,” lol. The slope has collapsed in places, and it seems that wild boars are the ones digging up and eating earthworms and other things. I hope they don’t come to where I’m staying. It really is quite far away, lol . It looks like we’ve arrived. After explaining about the electric fence, the manager headed back. There are four auto sites. I’m luxuriously using one near the middle. I’m glad the weather is nice, lol . People from the city probably won’t understand, but this is the electric fence. The current flows about once per second, making a jerk! jerk! sound , and animals that touch it will run away. If you hold the yellow handle, you won’t get an electric shock. You’re touching the metal part, lol. This is the main body of the electric fence. It’s solar-powered and operates 24 hours a day. You see them everywhere in the countryside to protect crops from animals . This is also a FAR Yume (Farm) product, isn’t it? So, let’s set up the car side tarp. I bought the FIELDOOR one-touch, completely blackout type. Today was my first time using it. It came with suction cups, but I bought the mounting brackets, so I won’t be using them this time. You attach it by clamping it to the car’s rain molding. The tarp comes folded, so unfold it. Once it’s unfolded to a certain extent, pull the string at the top to the left and right. Once the frame is locked, you can release the string. I secured the tarp to the mounting bracket with a carabiner. You could just anchor the other end to the ground, but I also purchased a pole, so I’ll use it to increase the height and create a spacious area. I hammered it in with an old plastic hammer. I’m definitely going to need a dedicated hammer. The car side tarp is set up! Now, I’ll assemble the Workman low chair. Just unfold the frame as shown! Attaching the seat fabric was tricky, lol. I imagine it’s difficult for women. Finally, I’m ready for the fire. It’s a Hillstone fire pit. It was 1,450 yen. Since it’s my first time using it, there’s a protective sticker on it. Peeling it off was surprisingly difficult, lol. I unfold the base. I hang the ash tray. I spread out the board for burning firewood and set it up. The fire pit is complete. I relax with a Sapporo Black Label. Cheers! Delicious! I pulled out my lantern for the first time in about 20 years. It’s a Coleman white gasoline two-mantle lantern. For some reason, it has a one-mantle sticker on it. I pump it to increase the gas pressure. It’s quite light. I haven’t done any maintenance on it, so I wonder if it will light? I’ll light it when it gets a little darker. I brought some scrap wood from around the house for firewood. My hatchet is worn out and the blade won’t sharpen. ↷ I batoned it, but it broke. I used pine cones and pine needles for kindling. I lit a fire with a gas burner. The firewood was dry, so it burned quickly. I also brought some charcoal. I wanted to eat grilled enoki mushrooms, so I prepared that. The firewood burned out. I also prepared rice . I was running low on charcoal, so I decided to have dinner a little early. I had a lot of chicken, so I brought that. As I expected, the heat was weak. It seems like the moisture evaporated because it took so long to cook. The lantern’s brightness is also unstable. I cooked some rice, so I’ll eat it! As expected, the texture is not very good. This is one of the joys of the outdoors , lol. I tried to light some mosquito coils, but I couldn’t get them to come off. If they’re too strong, they’ll break, and it’s difficult to get the balance right, lol. I finally managed to light one. The light from the lantern is so soothing. Maybe the swaying is a good thing, lol. I ate the rest of my food…thanks for the meal. I’m unfolding my new sleeping bag. It’s a synthetic fiber sleeping bag from Hotel Camps. I was considering a down sleeping bag, but decided on this one because of the maintenance hassle. It ‘s envelope-shaped, so it’s roomy. You can put your smartphone and other items in the pockets. Time flies. Good night. ZZZ. ZZZ. Good morning. It’s chilly and humid. It’s still dark. I’ll go outside. The weather looks good again today. I went to the bathroom. There’s no light, so I’ll bring it with me. If it were this bright, it would be fine, but… I’m drenched in morning dew. The sun is gradually coming out. I’m preparing breakfast. I’m putting my sleeping bag away. It was comfortable, lol. There’s a way to store it instead of stuffing it into a bag. There are instructional videos on YouTube, and it’s not difficult once you get the hang of it lol . The breakfast menu is fried eggs and sauteed enoki mushrooms. First, make the fried eggs and cook them to your desired doneness. Set them aside on a separate plate. A simple ventilation fan lol . I had planned to eat the sauteed enoki mushrooms last night, but I was full so I saved it for this morning. Butter and soy sauce are delicious, aren’t they lol . Let’s eat. The crunchy texture is great. It’s delicious, but maybe I should have evaporated the moisture from the enoki mushrooms a little more…. Now, I’m going to pour it on and devour it. Thank you for the meal. I’ll make some coffee after the meal. I brought my coffee mill with me today, so I’ll grind the beans first. When the handle becomes light, the coffee is ready. The delicious aroma of coffee is in the air. Since I’ve come all this way, I’ll enjoy it outside. Delicious! Having enjoyed the coffee, I’m getting ready to head home. It’s clean now. I’m glad to have the vast campsite all to myself. I actually wanted to explore the walking paths, but I decided not to, as I don’t know what I might come across. I say goodbye to the manager and head home. Mt. Bandai is also visible. The sky is a pleasant blue. I’ll drive safely and slowly head home. Thank you for watching until the end. 会津美里町にある蓋沼(ふたぬま)森林公園キャンプ場で、カーサイドタープを設営して、キャンプと車中泊を半分ずつ楽しみました。久しぶりのキャンプで戸惑った部分もありましたが、面白かったです。
