[Saga] Hidden Gems In The Japanese Countryside
Hello. We are DAILY KOBAYASHI. We are a married couple traveling around Japan. We visited the YOBUKO Morning Market in Saga Prefecture. This is a drip-proof soy sauce dispenser. It won’t spill even if you turn it upside down. The delicious aroma of squid shumai is in the air. This is the YOBUKO Morning Market’s specialty, “steamed squid shumai.” Is there squid in it? It’s very hot. This one contains minced squid. It has a delicious squid flavor. YOBUKO Morning Market is one of Japan’s three major morning markets, along with the WAJIMA Morning Market and the TAKAYAMA Morning Market. That’s a face cutout panel. This squid has a face. That’s the answer. If you come to YOBUKO, you have to try the squid. It looks delicious. Apparently, this sauce stays on your clothes if it gets on them. It’s very tender. It’s delicious. The doneness is just right. Grilled squid is delicious and reasonably priced, so I recommend it! After eating something salty, you’ll want something sweet. We decided to buy fish croquettes. This one is filled with vegetables and fish paste. Apparently, a squid-shaped boat is about to set sail. I have to hurry and eat this. This isn’t a croquette, it’s just fried fish paste. But it’s delicious in its own way. I want to see that boat. This is IKAMARU. The Yobuko morning market is held every day. Please come and visit. We’re going to Okawachiyama in Imari City . This is a large map of pottery. This place used to produce porcelain called Nabeshimayaki. The techniques were strictly controlled to prevent leaks. For that reason, this place was called the secret kiln. This is a bridge decorated with Nabeshima tiles and vases. It’s beautiful. I enjoy just looking at it. There are discounted dishes outside. This tea bowl has a picture of a moth orchid. I want an orange plate. This monkey with a wide frame is cute. This is adorable. There’s a bowl embedded in the wall. We want to go into this store. This is a KAGMAIMOCHI, a traditional Japanese New Year’s item. It can also be used as a small item holder. This is a sake cup that can only be put down after drinking everything. The store clerk carefully explained everything to us, and we were able to make a great purchase. Please come and visit us. It was nice to be able to browse the products so easily. This item is made from a reused pottery base. This is a great idea. Cats always appear on our trip. If you look closely, you can see another cat behind him. In November, the Pottery Autumn Festival is held here. Everyone should definitely visit this secret kiln. Next, we arrived at MENTAI LAND. Here, you can eat as much mentaiko as you want. First, you order your food from the ticket machine. Here, you can eat as much soup, mentaiko, and cod roe as you want. This is a product made by mixing squid and mentaiko. Even though it’s a lot, I was a little hesitant. Japanese people eat it with white rice. This looks delicious! I added mentaiko to this. It tastes luxurious. It’s cheap at 500 yen, but it’s delicious. The spaghetti was better with the Japanese flavor. The ratio of rice to mentaiko is 1:9. Can you get all this happiness for 900 yen? This is a must-visit place. Don’t forget to tour the factory. Of course, there are plenty of souvenirs for sale. We arrived at Yoshinogari Historical Park! This is the mascot character, Himika. His sister, Yayoi, is missing. He has a ladybug on his butt. This is a ladybug. Here, you can make magatama and stone knives. You had this capsule toy, right? He’s a collector of pottery toys. This is the southern inner bailey, the southern of the two central areas. This is where the village leaders lived. We climbed the tower. It felt like we’d traveled back 2,000 years. This is the home of a high-ranking man’s wife. Is he the husband? I’m Taijin. This feels like the world of Princess Mononoke, a GHIBLI film. This is the king’s palace. Important discussions take place here. This is a recreated cemetery from that time. This is a burial method in which the deceased is placed in a clay vessel and buried underground. It seems that the graves of related families were buried in the same place. Here you can see the actual coffins found during the excavation. We were able to learn about Japanese history from 2,000 years ago. Thank you for watching the video until the end. We really enjoyed our trip to Saga!
