I just want to show you my hotel really quick in case you’re wondering. Um, I’m staying in a town called Quincy. It’s about 25 minutes uh west of Tallahassee, right off of I 10, so it’s not too far, but the prices of hotels in Tallahassee were so jacked up because it’s the weekend of Miami FSU. So, I saved a lot of money by staying in Quincy. The Holiday Inn, Express, and Suites Quincy I 10 is located almost immediately off of I 10 in this quiet section featuring a gas station and a couple of other hotels, all within walking distance of each other. That’s convenient. My room is right next to the freaking elevator. So, let’s give you a quick tour of my room here in Quincy. Uh, let’s start with the bathroom here. So, here we have a mirror so I can watch myself take a shower or I don’t know. Here is another mirror, guys, cuz you can never have enough mirrors. Right behind me, we got a microwave, a cure egg coffee machine, and a refrigerator. And then here is the main room here. Let’s start with the closet. As you can see, I am ready for game day. Got my FSU gear, my my FSU shoes and hat. There’s a safe down there. There’s an ironing board. And here is the uh the bedroom here. It’s a room for the bed. And we got this weird looking half couch. It’s like Chief Ociola like chopped right down the middle and then left me with this weird looking hat sofa or couch, whatever. Let’s see what my view is, guys. Is it a view of the pool perhaps? Oh, shoot. Look at this. There is no water in that pool. That would really hurt if I jumped in. Oh, look at that. Look at that view, guys. I got a view of another hotel. Oh, wait. It gets better. I get a view of another hotel right there. So, yeah. This hotel was so much cheaper than staying in Tallahassee, and it wasn’t that far from Tallahassee. So, that’s my room. The hotel seemed a little outdated, but there was a very super solid complimentary breakfast buffet, which had turkey sausage, and this more traditional looking sausage. There were eggs, a vegan omelette, biscuits. I got to say, my favorite item from the buffet were the potatoes, which tasted like straight up French fries. I am not complaining about that. Um, just make sure you wait for your food to properly digest before taking a dip into this swimming pool with no lifeguard on duty. The hotel I picked, it was uh it was called the Holiday in Express at Quincy off of I 10. And I only picked it because the hotels in Tallahass were so expensive because of the Miami game. So, I stayed about what 25 miles 25 minutes out and it wasn’t that bad of a drive. It was very straightforward. Um there’s no traffic getting here or or leaving, but um the hotel, you know, it just served as as a bed and a shower basically. U but the the breakfast was was really nice. a free breakfast. For the week of the FSU-Miami game (2025), I found that all of the decent hotels in Tallahassee raised their prices exponentially specifically for the game. So instead of paying those insane hotel prices in Tallahassee, I found a hotel in nearby Quincy (about 25 mins from FSU).
