The sauce is fragrant. So happy to start the morning. All-you-can-eat eel. Domin Express Toyohashi. All-you-can-eat Yonaki Soba. Incredibly good value. Of course I’ll eat it. It’s so local. Watch until the end. This video is from the day before my trip to Toyohashi and the river. Leaving Osaka, I stopped off at a rice field in Nagoya. This is delicious. It ‘s refreshing and I’m back again. It’s an extra 30 minutes from my destination, Toyohashi. Still, if I’m in this area, I can’t leave without trying it. No matter how many times I eat it, I want to eat it again. It’s a unique flavor that can’t be replicated . The visual of this finishing touch is also fantastic. The smell of the simmering sauce really gets my appetite going. The doneness is truly perfect. It’s refreshing, and the rice is delicious, too. I’ve been here a few times this year, and I was very satisfied again this time. I made a detour to Nakanohama Lake Service Area. There were so many food stalls, it felt like a festival. There were Fujimiya Yakisoba and Hamamatsu Gyoza Gome, and plenty of them. It’s a place I always stop by when I pass by, as it offers a convenient view of Lake Hamana. I haven’t been passing by as often since the new Tokyu service area opened, but there are many more Tokyu service areas I want to stop at. Tonight, I arrived at Oyato, Min Express Toyohashi. Parking is available, of course, but be aware that it’s smaller during the day, with a width of less than 1820cm. After checking in, I headed to my room. I think Express is the cheapest brand among Domitory hotels, but it doesn’t feel cheap at all, and of course, it includes a hot spring. By the way, this time I booked a room for two for 15,300 yen per night through the official Domitory website. The room looked like this, a little small, but sufficient. Of course, it was fingerprint-printed. There was a TV with YouTube, and the toilet and shower room looked like this. I walked to Toyohashi Station for dinner. The streetcar was running. First up was this place. It was fully booked, but they kindly accommodated me since I had about an hour and a half until my reservation. Thank you. Tennai is nice. It mainly serves Mexican food, including tacos and fresh sashimi. The menu is varied and reasonably priced. They also have hearty meat dishes. For those who don’t drink alcohol, they have a wide selection of soft drinks and non-alcoholic cocktails. If you can drink, go all out and try the tequila. First, our drinks and appetizers arrived. This tomato sauce is amazing. The appetizer was stylish, delicious, and generous. Next, the raw oysters. They were plump, large, and looked absolutely delicious. And then the white squid tacos. I don’t usually eat Mexican food, but everything was delicious, especially these tacos. It was a feast. We arrived at JR Toyohashi Station. As you’d expect from Aichi Prefecture’s second city, the station is impressive. Our second stop was this chicken restaurant. It was packed, but we were lucky to find a tatami room in the back. First, we had quail egg skewers. Next, we had the chewy chicken. The texture and flavor were both excellent. Next, we had chicken yukke. This was also delicious, with a delicious egg yolk and leek. The skewers and chicken wings arrived. This restaurant is a star in the neighborhood. The wings were plump and perfectly seasoned. Of course, this was my final dish of the night. Their specialty, the night soba. Apparently, Toyohashi’s noodles are different. There’s something so happy about waiting for them to be prepared in this live kitchen. I love the simplicity of it. Oh, there it is. They even serve drink burgers at night. That’s rare, isn’t it? So, ramen and Coke—the worst possible combination for a late-night snack. Last time, I had three refills, but this time I’ll just stick to one. Because, on a sweaty morning, they have all-you-can-eat eel for breakfast. I need to keep my stomach empty. So, I ate and got hungry, and it was a feast. Good morning. I arrived at 6:30 AM and there was already a line. Please use it. Thank you. The basic menu is as beautiful as the Domin. I had read online beforehand that Express has a smaller selection compared to Normal Domin and Nono, but I don’t feel that’s the case at all. Of course, they also have the famous small bacon. Here’s Panner. They also have delicious-looking sweets. They have a wide variety of salads. Here, they have pickled rice accompaniments and pickled plums and nori seaweed. The fried tofu miso soup hotpot is hearty and looks absolutely delicious . The highlight of this meal is the all-you-can-eat kimabushi. What do you think? It looks incredibly delicious. For the first round of the buffet, I ordered a variety of Japanese dishes: hitsumab, fried egg, eggplant miso soup, and more. I started with the hitsumab as a bowl of rice. I don’t think it’s domestically sourced eel, but it’s fluffy, juicy, and delicious. Next up is Dotite. The rich flavor of the red miso stew wakes you up. This is also delicious. When I’ve eaten half of it, I pour dashi over it to make hitsumabushi. A little wasabi on top makes it even better. You can eat as much of this as you want. Speaking of Toyohashi, the Yamasano area is great because you can eat it for breakfast. Staying in a dorm means you don’t have to go out of your way to eat gochiguru. Next was miso soup with fried eggplant and tofu. There was a huge line when it was served. This one was also packed with eggplant, and the flavor infused into the broth, making it absolutely delicious. It’s even better with the broth. Yes. I came back for a refill of mabushi. This is my second bowl. Thank you. I think two bowls is about as much eel as you’d get at an eel restaurant. This time, I was about halfway through when I poured the condiments and dashi over it. It was smooth and savory, like a drink. And now I’m having my third. I also got a soft-boiled egg and chiwa. I feel like I’ve already eaten the extra-large portion . This time, I poured the dashi over it from the beginning. I usually prefer no dashi, but I preferred the sashimi here with the dashi just barely on the side. It’s perfect for a drink, isn’t it? It cost 15,300 yen for two people. In other words, for 7,650 yen per person, we could enjoy a hot spring bath, a night’s rest, and this breakfast. Isn’t that too cheap? In fact, I think the eel and hot spring water alone probably paid for the bill. I thought I’d finished it, but then I realized I’d forgotten the soft-boiled egg, so I drank it instead. Thank you for the meal. After checking out of the hotel, we went to the nearby Toyokawa Ina. We paid our respects. Oh, if you go in the middle of it, you’ll get a fortune and that’s the end of this video. Thank you for watching until the end.
