2025年、千葉県市川市に鎮座する【市川八幡神社】の伝統的な祭禮！

神社の外へ繰り出した神輿が街を練り歩く【神輿渡御】シリーズの【Part 1】です。

境内での宮出の勢いをそのままに、神輿が市川の街中へと熱狂を広げていきます。
普段担がないのに今回は担いで痛い！痛い！でしかめつらで担ぎました。
タイトルにもう僕は担ぎませーんっていれました（笑）

神輿が街を巡ることで、地域全体に活気と神様の御利益をもたらす、渡御の始まりの熱狂を感じてください

A video documenting the traditional Grand Festival (Gosairei) held at Ichikawa Hachiman Shrine in Ichikawa City, Chiba Prefecture, Japan, in 2025!

This is Part 1 of the Mikoshi Togyo (Portable Shrine Procession) series, where the sacred Mikoshi (portable shrine) leaves the shrine grounds and parades through the city streets.

The energy from the initial Miya-Dashi (Departure) inside the shrine is carried right into the streets, spreading feverish excitement throughout Ichikawa!

A personal note from the filmer: I usually don’t carry the Mikoshi, but I joined in this time… and now I’m in pain! My face was grimacing from the pain while carrying it. (That’s why I put “I’m not carrying it anymore!” in the title! 😂)

Experience the sheer enthusiasm at the start of the Mikoshi Togyo, which is believed to bring vitality and the blessings of the deity to the entire community as the portable shrine travels through the town. Don’t miss this vibrant piece of Japanese culture and Shinto tradition!
