【湘南ライフ】平塚シーテラス 2025/10/31オープン予定 ✨ 工事の様子と懐かしの龍城ヶ丘プール跡地

Hiratsuka Sea Terrace
2025/10/31 Open ! Today we will be bringing you an update on the construction of Hiratsuka Sea Terrace, which is scheduled to open on October 31, 2025. If you get off the Takahamadai footbridge, you will reach Hiratsuka Beach Park. At the entrance to Hiratsuka Beach Park, a new walkway is being constructed that leads to the new Hiratsuka Sea Terrace. Previously, this area was full of sand and weeds, but now the walkways have been beautifully maintained. Now, let’s walk along this sidewalk towards Oiso. The small hills that spread out before you are the mountains of the Izu Peninsula. As I was walking along this sidewalk, I passed a motorcycle carrying a surfboard. At the end of this walkway there was also a small cart with surfboards. This footpath looks like it will be a convenient route for surfers in the area. The place where I am walking now is near the Ogi no Matsu intersection. Hiratsuka Sea Terrace will be located to the left of this location. There has been construction work going on in this area for a long time, but most of it is now complete. This area was originally a pine forest. Before construction began, local residents were concerned about the cutting down of pine forests. There are reasons to be concerned about the cutting down of this pine forest. The main reason is the tsunami. People living along the coast in the Shonan area, including Hiratsuka, worry about tsunamis in the event of a major earthquake. The pine forest exists to mitigate the damage caused by the tsunami. The construction is almost complete, and when I actually come here, it seems that there aren’t many low-rise houses nearby. Also, once we crossed National Route 134, the pine forest still remained. It may be just a temporary relief, but I feel a little relieved. Construction is still underway around here.
I guess it’s time for the final touches. You will see the Hiratsuka Sea Terrace sign. I don’t know what kind of stores will be there yet, but I’d like to come back once they open. Will the building on the left house a tenant? This area was originally home to the Ryujogaoka Pool, operated by Hiratsuka City. Ryujogaoka Pool was built in 1937 (Showa 12) before the war and was a beloved pool for many Hiratsuka residents. As time passed and the facilities became outdated, the facility closed its doors in 2013 after 76 years of operation. The footbridge that still remains to access Ryujogaoka Pool is also quite dilapidated. Hiratsuka Sea Terrace was built on the former site of the Ryujogaoka Pool by Hiratsuka City. I hope you can enjoy a leisurely meal or tea while watching the sunset from this market. New pine trees have been planted next to the Marche building. Some pines have been lost, but we hope that new ones will take root quickly. Today we reported on the progress of construction at Hiratsuka Sea Terrace. We look forward to the opening day on October 31st. Thank you for watching today. If you like it, please like and subscribe to the channel.
