【北海道車中泊旅】礼文島2泊3日完全版,軽自動車で20日間同居,夫婦漫才,別れの危機!

Today, I asked my landlord to think about something. We arrived at Rebun Island. It was rocky and tough at the end. All right. Well, let’s do a quick lap around the island. / Yeah. How many kilometers is around the island? Maybe about 20km ? (It’s 29km.) Isn’t it that small? Secoma / Ah, there are always lots of Secomas. / I see. It’s a very busy Secoma. That’s right. It’s beautiful. So beautiful. / Yeah. This is where I’ll be sleeping in my car. This / Upstairs? / Here. Here. This. Ah, yes, yes. / Yes. Oh, was there a landslide? No, that’s scary. Komayazaki ShadeThe smell of kelp is amazing. I really love views like this. A nice smell. Ah, a nice smell. Something. Oh, it’s this way up ahead. All right. It says here, here. See? / Huh? Kush Lakeside CampgroundYup . / A campsite with a view of Lake Kushu and the lake. / Hmm. You’re using the auto camping site , which is closer to the lake than the lake. And the tent site. Oh, I see. But I’d still like to bring my car there. It’s better to park your car next to it than to leave it there and tent. Yeah. There’s a trash disposal area, and the auto site is 2,100 yen per night, with an adult entrance fee of 620 yen. That adds up to 2,100 yen + 1,240 yen, so 3,340 yen , is that right? It’s amazing, but it’s only 3,000 yen. It feels more like a hotel. There’s Wi-Fi, and showers, even coin-operated showers, which cost money. / I think that’s probably it. Hmm. Well, let’s think about it a bit later. / Yes. I want to see what it’s like inside, but it says you can’t go in. / Yeah. It would be nice if they said you’re free to look around. Would they turn around here and say, “Hey, wait a minute?” That’s not going to happen. Honestly. But the lake is kind of far from the car park. Yeah. It’s far. It’s far. / It’s far. If I’m going to pay 3,000 yen, maybe a cottage would be better. How many yen did a cottage cost? It was 110,000 yen (15,000 yen) now? No, that’s no good. What are you talking about, we’re floating in the water at Cape Sukoton. Still / Feeling sick? Still . Wow, it’s beautiful. Look at the colors, the colors are beautiful. The colors are beautiful, the colors are beautiful. It must have looked beautiful from up above. Now we can get to Cape Sukoton from here. Wow. Space, space. We’re going up to heaven. This is really the course to go up to heaven. Beautiful. It’s so incredibly beautiful. It feels good to walk in a place like this. It’s not a high mountain, so the colors are beautiful and pleasant . Beautiful~ Wow, amazing. Is it okay to drive on the cape tour course? Is it okay? If you can’t go in, they’ll write it down. / Yeah. I think it was good. You can’t see a beautiful view from above. No, this color is beautiful today. We were blessed with good weather. Yes. Oh yeah, you can’t go to that island. It’s so beautiful. Todo Island Observatory. The first thing you can see from Cape Sukoton is Todo Island , where you can see spotted seals and black-backed seagulls that look like they’ll blow you away. I’d like to walk here. Todo Island , that’s why that place is Todo Island, and you can see sea lions and harbor seals. / Mmhmm. Black-backed seagulls. Yeah. / I didn’t tell you the other day that you can see them. You mean this place over there. Hey, was this road really beautiful? Maybe I’m mistaken again. Beautiful, look to the side. You’re taking pictures of this, aren’t you? I’m driving, so I’m yelling like this right now. Please take a picture, please take a picture. Hmm. / It’s amazing. So beautiful. So beautiful. Thank you. For bringing me here. /No, really,,,, I didn’t notice it the other day. /Oh, I really do pass by here. I like this place. /Yeah. /I guess I was only looking straight ahead. Yeah. I had just started driving. It was my first time driving, so it was about my fifth year. Not five years ago, it was four years ago. What was the weather like that day? /Hmm. I guess it was good and bad. It’s an island, after all. Yeah. Wow, it’s beautiful. That’s right. It’s finally starting to feel like Hokkaido. /Finally, no , the main Hokkaido highway is completely different again. Yeah. But this way it’s not so bad. The person next to me said there are bears and stuff. We’re the type that get killed by bears. I like the fact that there are no guardrails. It’s scary, though. I made a slight mistake in steering and it jumped. /Ahahaha Wow/Wow~~~ Ah, but there’s a lot of trash on the ground here. /Oh no, there’s no one around. I’m sure I can take a picture of this from somewhere. From above. It’s okay. I’ll take a picture later, I’m amazing! /Amazing. That’s great~~. /Yeah, that feels good. If you look around too much, you’ll get a stone, stop it . Stop it. Stop that. Well, next time you go for the second time, I’ll sit next to you. /Yes. Please. Wow. Wow, wow, wow, wow. /This is beautiful again. We could take a picture from further over there, though/. Yeah. Yeah. Maybe it would look good if I took a picture from over here. Let’s go a little further/Oh, it’s beautiful over here too. Dangerous. I made a mistake in steering. Tell them to stop when I’m parking. The view from over here was beautiful too. Just now/On the other side. Yeah. / Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Ah, there was some kind of mountain, right? / Yeah. Ah, here we are, here we are. You’re coming here too. Chon chon chon. Ah~~. / Ah, you’ve followed me all the way from Yagishiri Island. Chon chon chon chon, I think we should go on that promenade , or more like a trekking trail. Vehicles are not allowed here in winter. What about over here? Yeah. / What does it say? Tetsufu, Sumisaki Cape I can’t read it. / Ah, this won’t do. I thought so. Ah, no. / You can’t take cars. It’s in the middle. / Yeah. There it is. This one , but I think I can take a picture over there. So, / Shall I go take a picture? I’ll park here. Just for a bit. / Yeah. It won’t get in the way. Vehicles can’t pass through there. Okay, okay, okay. The landlord looks happy. I’m glad for you. It feels like I’ve finally arrived in Hokkaido. It’s late. Wow. This is a walking course. Wow, it’s beautiful. From here, it’s like a stone stomp. It’s a stone stomp. Oh. No. No. Is it backlit ? It’s backlit. Yes. There’s something there, look over there… Yes yes yes yes. It looks like that railway station. It’s kind of scary to have the landlord drive. I Why ? / Oh , but then you get seasickness plus , … Can you see? It cuts right through here. It’s connected like this. / Wow. It feels so much better to walk. Oh. / Oh. That’s nice. It feels good. Rice balls, fried sweet potato, kelp miso soup and rice balls will be fine. Rebun seafood rice balls and rice balls are 250 yen each. 350 yen? It’s 350 yen, but three for 1000 yen, so I bought six in total. And this is seaweed miso soup. Shall we have some? That’s grilled Atka mackerel, right? What did it taste like? ,,,,,,,,,,,, Yes. That’s enough. This is kelp. It’s so delicious. / It has a strong smell of the sea. It really does smell like the sea. / Eh, give me some. With a full stomach, I took a nap and headed towards Sky Cape. The sky is beautiful. Forever and ever ♪ Such beautiful sunny weather . You must be exhausted, right? Hey. You must be kind of tired. / Not really… We went around a lot right after getting on the ferry, so I got dizzy. Huh? I got dizzy too. / Dizzy? Why? So from the ferry ferry/ Oh, finally, I got carsick and seasick and spun around… I’m weak, so yes. I won’t be greedy anymore . It’s 3 o’clock but I’m going home now. I’ll go back to the other side once more, take a bath and get ready for bed. Let’s do that. Grandpa’s hanging there. This is a perch. He’s doing the same as mom. He’s holding both ends tightly. It’s hard to see in the side mirror. It’s okay , I have to do it like that or I’ll get tired… No, no, I’m okay here. / Are you okay? Yeah. You’re okay/Are you really okay? That’s just like mom/Young mom . Mom. The driver of a car holds onto the steering wheel, so it’s stable, but the passenger’s body sways. That’s right. Well , you see, I told Machiko at the beginning that I usually get carsick. Yeah. I’m weak, after all. I get carsick and seasick, so if I drive as well, I won’t get carsick. Shall I take over driving? Do you know the way back? It’s pretty much the route. I just follow the road. And even if I get lost, I already know the way. This is a small island, after all. Yeah. / And as long as I don’t jump into the sea. / That’s right, that’s right, that’s right. I’ve been driving all this time. Shall I take over? I’ve been all along this route once, so I know it, right? What do you think? I think it feels better to drive, right?,,,,,Hey, hey. Hmm, / What should I do? Eh, either way is fine. “Either way is fine” is a bad thing to say, either way/either way is fine. I’m saying either way is fine. Seriously. Yes. Finally, I’ve got an old man from Shikoku to take over. Look here. This road is green/If you keep going down this green road, I think you’ll probably get there. / Yes. I’m taking to my heart’s content taking photos from the passenger seat. Yes. I decided not to take a bath today after all. I don’t need to take a bath every day anymore. I’m not sweating/ Even if I get splashed with salt, it’s not like that/If I get splashed with salt, I feel cleansed. That’s right. It’s good to be cleansed. Yeah, I might wake up salted in the morning/No fun. It ‘ll have a nice flavor. / Not fun at all. Seriously, let’s go to the campsite now. Just like this/The campsite. Yeah. / Got it. Feels nice~~~ I can see it. /It’s lovely. That’s right. Rebun Banya Midorigaoka… Park / We’re almost there, almost to the campsite where we’ll be sleeping today . The tide is making things amazing. / Yeah. I saw the sign over there. Right? Rebun Banya, completely white. This is it. / Right? (Navi) We’ll be heading left soon. / This is the right. Is this the way to go? / Right. Yes. / I don’t know. Shall we go there first? This is what I meant when I said the fence side would be better. Okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay. So, where should I park the car? First, / Hey, let’s go to the reception desk. The reception desk. / Ah, there. / Yeah . Yes. There’s one in the laundromat too. Yes. You can just see it from here. Rishiri Fuji. They said it would be good over there. It’s really nice. Oh, check-in starts at 5 o’clock. Oh, should we leave by 5 o’clock? Let ‘s take a look around the campsite . I camped here a long time ago. It’s kind of rough. りっ、 うん。 English: In the past, you’d park your car here and have to push it down, which was quite a pain. The sound of the river is pleasant for campers with a lot of luggage on this gravel . Because there’s a river and stuff, there are bound to be a lot of bugs. I was bitten by a horsefly here a long time ago. It feels really nice. I’d like to build a campsite like this. If I did, there’d be grass and a wooden platform because it gets soggy underneath. That’s right. Watch out for crows. There’s a proper table to rest on. You can cook and wash your dishes here. Yeah. / Hmm. That’s great. The shared tap water is drinkable, you know. You can eat here too. They’ve even put in electrical outlets. Oh, there are all kinds of them. That’s right, that’s right, that’s right. There aren’t all kinds of them. / Oh, right. Yeah. I thought they had outlets for cell phones. / What? Yes. Well, shall we go? Yeah. Use at your own risk. Of course. Even if they say it’s gone. It would be nice to have a bonfire here at night. It’s just buried, and there’s no wind. Upstairs too. There’s a bench here to relax on. And a swing. So, you can just swing around here, it’s great. Wow, it feels nice , and you can sit at the table here and have a toast. There were little flowers blooming. Changed location. I was parked here, but a big camper van is parked over there, so I guess I’ll have to go the other way. Oh well. The manager here is really nice. I said 10am, but hmm. He was like, “Just about” would be fine , so I thought about going over there, but I ended up coming here. The big camper is gone though. I’ve already prepared everything here. There’s nothing today, so I need something to eat. I’m making do with what I have on hand. So, today, there’s an Instagram live, and some of the members have leftovers, so I ‘m having a hard time opening them for dinner. This is Tokachi Calpas to eat at the end when there’s nothing else to do. After eating this, some tofu, and some gelato , I think I’ll have a beer. A toast with beer. The owner toasted with tea. / Yes. Yes. Shall we go in? Is n’t this fine? / Yes. We can each go in. It ‘s so beautiful now. I shouldn’t say I’m tired from playing, but thank you for your hard work. Cheers. Yes. Yes. Cheers. It’s beautiful. This fence is a bit in the way. If I stand on tiptoe, I can see. / Yeah. At times like this, it’s good to have a long torso. / That’s right. I think it’s better than someone with long legs. / Yeah. Today, I asked the owner of that house to think about something. He might be a bit depressed, though. I just asked him to think about it. We’ll have to wait and see what happens, but you’ll have to wait and see what happens later. Are you working on something with your computer? / Huh? / You’re busy. Yes. In the end, we’re having hot pot today. And we’re sharing this one rice ball with just tofu and green onion , and if you add yuzu, soy sauce, and this broth to the green onion, you’ll make a delicious broth, so that’s good. It’s already dark and cold outside, but he’s working hard outside. Working on his computer. Right. So today, I asked my landlord if I could fly back to Hokkaido because it would be a bit of a waste to go back after just one month , and so at first, he was planning to stay with me until the end and see me off to Shikoku, and then I’d go back to my parents’ house in Osaka, since I have to go back once every two months. But, this is selfish of me, and the plans have suddenly changed, so I asked him to think about it. I said , “I’d like to travel a little longer by myself,” and he groaned. I think he’s probably very nervous about flying alone. Is he nervous? I don’t know why. Seriously, I wish he would say that, but I decided on my own, so I’m waiting for an answer. I wonder what will happen. I’m looking forward to it. Depending on that, there are a lot of thoughts, right? Well, well, well, that’s what I’m saying. I think I’ll try to express my feelings and thoughts. So, I don’t just accept everything and listen to everything 100%, and I think that if I tell you how I’m being selfish, we can have a good relationship. I think this is what I think, but maybe I have to hold back here. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I was thinking, if you have to go home early because you have work, maybe it’d be okay for you to fly home, what do you think? Yeah. It depends on your answer. Even if I have to go home, that’s what I was planning to do in the first place, so I don’t want to. Of course. That’s fine, Machiko-chan, I think so. If you think I want to take a leisurely solo trip to Hokkaido, that would be great. I’d be so happy, but I want to have a natural relationship. : You’re right… Oh, I can’t do that. If you answer like that, then you ‘ll probably have a lot of thoughts about how traveling together like this might be difficult in the future. Just because it was this time doesn’t mean I dislike it or anything. Yes. That’s the kind of relationship I want to have. I didn’t say it earlier, but I’m still working outside in the dark right now so I’m sure you’re all wondering what I’m talking about, so I’ll just say it. Yes. Perfect. A natural relationship. That’s right. Maybe I’m being selfish, though. Yes. I wonder how you’ll accept my selfishness. Well, it’s a four and a half hour flight back. Yes. Hey, put some yuzu in it. We’re going to eat tofu with this. Should I have bought more tofu? Is there not enough? Today is the landlord’s driving day. Do your best. We’ll have breakfast from Secoma. Let’s follow the example of the energetic woman from earlier. Say it out loud. Okay, have a nice trip . I said, “My name is XX.” Yes. / I’m physically disabled, but yes. / I work hard and eat three meals a day. Yes. You said that only in Japan can you do that. You said thank you. / Oh, I see. I’m 64. Yes. 67. / Yes. It’s a really,,,tough life on this floating layer, isn’t it? Yes. / But it’s a floating layer that keeps moving, / A floating layer that keeps moving, moving. Yes. We can make a living just fine. Those landlords have annual incomes of,,,,,, but they can still live such cheerful, healthy, and carefree lives. It’s amazing. Japan is like that, after all. But I think everyone can get by without having to worry about the tens of millions of yen or 20 million yen in retirement problem. We have good medical care, universal health insurance, and I learned a lot about nursing care systems recently about my mother. My mother’s pension is 60,000 yen, and she’s also applying for the pensioner’s support grant, which gives people earning less than 900,000 yen a year, about 10,000 yen, so she gets 70,000 yen. Yeah. Well, she has a house. She doesn’t have to pay rent, though. Well, she does have to pay for heating and food. She smokes, but, um, she doesn’t drink alcohol. Ah, so that means you can live in the city on 70,000 yen. In my mother’s case, when she ended up in a nursing home, she was living on her pension alone. It’s a strange story. She even saved up money for her funeral. Yeah . Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. It didn’t cover all her food, clothing, and shelter. And she even paid for her own funeral. That’s why Japan’s pension system, and welfare system, is like that. So, even in nursing homes, they charge an amount that corresponds to her pension , yeah. It’s totally fine. As for me, well, in my case, I’m not the owner yet, but I haven’t made up my mind yet. I’ve made up my mind, so when I go in, I spend it all. When I go in, I spend it all, and I live my life tight and ready to go at any time. Yeah. I’ve been thinking about that all morning , and I’m thinking I’d like to go while I’m still as healthy as possible, without waiting until I turn 65, if only just before the last possible moment. Yes, this is it. Today’s breakfast was Secoma vegetables. What was this? Pork bowl with a soft-boiled egg on top, with pepper. It looks delicious, so I’ll have black pepper. Yeah. It’s fried salmon with a nori bento. Shall I have some? I also bought snacks, so I’ve got pudding and cheesecake, and even though it’s only 2,200 yen, I’m planning to eat everything I can from the morning, so that’s fine. This time , they just exchanged it. I won’t touch the eggs, so it’ll be fine! See? I can’t read the sign. I have a hunch, so I’ll just go this way, so it’ll be fine. Yes. Thank you. / Is this it? Yeah. Bus bus bus bus bus bus bus bus bus bus bus bus bus bus bus bus bus. This is fine. They should sell ice cream. This is Northern Canary Park. I’m definitely going to see it today. The movie Northern Canaries. That’s right. / Yeah. The toilets are open from 12:00 to 12:30 to 13:00. Yeah. You talk a lot. This is my return of 9,000 yen. I see. Well, I’ll go for it. I haven’t been to Kochi yet. I’ll have this… oh, this one with the corn also looks really delicious. Yeah/ I piled it a little on top. Oh, you piled it on for me? Yes. / Thank you. Yeah, let’s eat. Yeah, let’s eat. Yeah, let’s eat. Delicious pancakes and ice cream/ Sponge cake? Sponge cake. But would just cream be enough? Would pancakes be too much? Hotcakes. / Yeah. / I thought so, so I just had regular sponge cake. He’s really an old man. He dropped it in pieces, and I thought the wind would blow it away and it would drop. What? What’s going on? He dropped this on the ground. /Yeah. Oh. It flew away in the wind… I was watching, thinking it would be interesting. Eh, where did it go? Did you eat most of the stuff you dropped? No, just take it home. Put it in this , the three-second rule. Hurry, yes. He picked it up and ate it. Canary Park in the North . I didn’t wash my hands. I had no choice. I wouldn’t like being given something like that. Teacher! It’s all thanks to you, Teacher. I can travel like this, thanks to you, Teacher! Teacher, don’t go. Teacher , I miss you , the learning child, the strong child, the kind child . Isn’t this pink phone still so creepy? Isn’t that actually okay? Oh? Is it okay to put this in? The show starts at 9 o’clock at Suzuki Nobuto’s place . A movie starring Yoshinaga Sayuri. It’s the chorus of northern canaries. Do your best. Aah! No, we’re going into the tunnel. They say we’re going into the tunnel. Yes, we’re going into the tunnel. That’s right, that’s right. This will do. Go ahead for a bit. Jizo Rock is a rock that looks like it’s praying together/Hmm. /Look at that. Ah, it smells so good, the seashore. It feels good. It feels good to be out in the sea. Ah, here. Here. Here. This is in front of the toilet. Ah, it’s fine. There’s a shop open. Public toilet . Ah, they have ice cream. Don’t you need any more? By the way, / That ‘s amazing. Is this really smoked?/That’s right. Fisherman’s shop UMI. Do they have anything tasty? What is this?/Is this sea laurel? Ah, it smells nice. I hear it’s edible, so I’ll try it. I’ll try it. Apparently it’s edible. If it’s no good, please give it away. Can you eat it raw? It said it was edible, but it tasted bitter. It feels a little bittersweet right now . Okay, let’s go. This is a sedum succulent. The one I had on display in the entrance is looking pretty good, too. This one. I found a really big agate. They say you can see some stripes if you hold it up to the sun. Can you see it? See, see, can you see it? Is this what you see when you hold it up to the sun now? / I don’t really get it, but this agate is so beautiful, so amazing, so pretty. I’d like to try running on a new road course. I love running because there’s a road, but I took a wrong turn at the place I wanted to go. Oh, it’s scary. What’s this? It’s blocked off. There used to be a tunnel. See? No, no, no. It’s closed. It’s closed. Where can I park and get in the tunnel? The observation deck is in the parking lot. There’s only a bus stop. Oh, let’s follow. Apparently motorcycles are allowed, but cars aren’t. Oh, that’s scary . Ah, it’s one kilometer away. / It’s true. It said “For cars only” and “For motorcycles only. ” So, on the left/ I guess I’ll have to polish the window after all. / Yeah. It’ll be fun to go up and polish it . Roads like this are great after all. / Yes. I’m happy. This is nice. I’m happy. It’s fun. I’m happy. You always wonder what’ll come out. Wow. Oh, that’s the walking course. See, there are stairs. Ah~~ It’s about 60 minutes, or so it said. If you can’t go up by car, you can just go up by car. This is nice/ Oh, this is nice. This is good, this is good. It’s quite cool/It’s quite cool/Yeah. Oh, / Oh. Oh. / Oh! Yeah~ Oh, it smells really nice. Ah, so refreshing . /This is the observation deck. /Yeah. Oh, I’ve walked there too. /That’s true. But if you come in the flowering season, everything is in bloom. / So beautiful / Yes! I guess I should come in the flowering season. No, but it hasn’t been that cold lately in May and June. Beautiful. So beautiful. Can you even climb this? / Amazing ! The pampas grass is beautiful, backlit. So beautiful. So beautiful. Oh, amazing. You can see Rishiri Fuji in the distance. Please refrain from sleeping in your car here. Protect the mineral plants. In flip-flops / Are flip-flops okay? / In flip-flops now . Oh, there are no flowers. Flowers blooming near the observation deck on the Momoyama Observation Course. Here they are. I’ll go. Oh, if you’re there in September. This is there. Shichimarindo, Umebachisou, Rishiribu Shibangousou, yeah. They’re around here. Wow, it feels nice. Oh , this is so cute. I found a cute one. What is this, it’s interesting. What kind of flower is this? It’s so cute. It’s dangerous. It’s really dangerous. It’s really scary. Yes. It’s scary. It’s dangerous. It’s an easy path. They make it easy to walk on. /It’s really really easy. This, this, this. Ah, Usuyuki no Yu. This is it. Let’s go in the entrance. Yes. A camper van is here too, and it’s hot, so let’s go inside that. /What’s that? It’s covered. Yes. I took a bath. It’s 600 yen. I mean, they say it’s 1000 yen for 50 minutes for a family, but if two people go in for 1000 yen, it’s 500 yen cheaper. It’s a strange story if two people go in. Hahahahahahaha I’m saying that, but it was so stupid. After all, you need that 1000 yen plus the money for the hot spring, so in the end it costs 2200 yen for two people, and of course you have to make a reservation, but if there’s space available, you can go in right away. And it comes with shampoo, in- and conditioner, that combined one. That and body soap, that kind of wet kind. And there’s a sauna, too. And there’s an outdoor bath and a jacuzzi. And the outdoor bath is amazing because you can get a great view of Rishiri Fuji. What’s the same thing?/ Oh, they’re the same. Weird,,,,/That’s weird. Yeah. Somehow we arrived at a place where we could see Rishiri Fuji and ate while looking at it. You can’t see it while looking at it. Can you see it from between the gaps ? Yeah./Yes. I added salmon to my Secoma salad, grilled some salmon later, and topped it with gyoza, bean sprout namul, zangi, and potatoes. Shall we eat?/ Yes. Let’s eat./I’m sleepy . It’s okay. Let’s eat. You look exhausted. I’m so hungry, sleepy, and tired. Yes. Tired. Yeah. Tired. Yes. Oh. Ah. So, that’s what’s inside here. Chawanmushi and meatballs. Where/ In Hokkaido, they call fried chicken zangi . I’m confessing though. I ca n’t lose, but I’m cheering up. It’s a case of winning and losing. The landlord can take pictures when I’m taking things in and out, so I can do it myself… You noticed I had to put up a net, but you said you’d put up a net and then you distributed the luggage like this, but that’s impossible. After 20 days, I’ve finally established that if I put it like this, it can go in, and if I put it like this, I can sleep , so actually, it’s fine like this. Did you put yuzu on the salmon? Yes. This is separate from the salmon, but it’s a regular vegetable salad. / I added salmon. Amazing. It doesn’t move at all. Its eyes are scary. Its eyes are scary. The eyes of a monkey butterfly are scary. Oh, it’s a machaon. / It’s a machaon. Wait, is it angry? This is scary, its eyes are really scary. / So, I ‘ve come to tell you to get along with the landlord. It’s a messenger . It’s like a carrier pigeon. A carrier butterfly. Somehow, I’m being made to seem like the bad guy. Why? Why? I mean, we two should get along. Hey, I feel like I’m the bad guy. I don’t know why. Take it easy. Take it easy, old guy. You can’t do all this tidying up anymore, so why don’t I do women’s work, like making coffee or washing rice, while you do the luggage in front and behind ? There’s no such thing as women’s work and men’s work. You know, you’re just a middle-aged man. You’re an otaku. And the net, the net, you have to put this net on and take it off, and when you arrive, you have to put the net on. Um, what, um, try getting that portable power supply out. How about dividing up the work like that, old guy ? You can do it, man ? You won’t have to yell at me. My brain atrophied yesterday. I guess my hippocampus atrophied. I was bullied. It’s blowing. The wind is blowing. The wind is blowing. I’m being blown away, blown away, blown away. Hey, what do you think, Mr. Yellow Swallowtail? I’m weird. I’m weird. I’m the one who’s weird. If you think that’s okay, then you can climb on my head, and if that other guy is weird, then you can climb on that old lady’s head and say what the hell. Hey, your hair is amazing. It’s fluffing up like this. It’s scary. Okay. Well, I’m going back to Kafuka Port and heading to Wakkanai now . Finally, I’m heading towards the main road of Hokkaido. I’m doing my morning routine of Dioringo, as a brain workout. Oh, that’s… that’s making me dizzy, so I’ll stop. I think it would be more brain training to actually experience the process, like setting up a tent, and be able to do that sort of thing quickly, but forcing yourself to do that kind of thing will shrink your hippocampus. What did you think? Rebun Island was good. What did you like? / Hmm. Ah, the clouds, the sunrise, the sunset. I walked that last part there, right ? Ah, that’s right. / That place is amazing. That hike, or rather, that place is great. That place is the best. Yeah. If I come to Hokkaido again , I could go in April or May when it’s colder and the flowers are in full bloom…well, I’d like to see a lot of different things . It’s not an exaggeration to say that this is almost my first time in Hokkaido. That’s right. So, I’ve been to the core places: Yagishiri Island, Teuri Island, Rishiri Island, erm, Rebun Island. All that’s left is Okushiri Island. Okushiri Island, yeah. I haven’t been on the main road at all, but I like the main road too. Shiretoko is far away, though. / Yeah. We’ll drive all the way. / Yes. I’ll drive too. I’d like to edit while I’m driving. I haven’t started editing at all. Bears often appear in the Shiretoko area , so there’s no way to be careful. I heard there was one in Suttsu Hamanaka, where you wouldn’t expect to see bears. So, we went to Kumanoyu, the hot spring they mentioned. /Yeah. It’s free. It’s free, but, well, what can you say? It’s a tip. Let me in. Let me in. The local people keep it clean, so you can go in as many times as you like. /Yeah. This is it. This is it. No matter how you look at it, it’s here. Is there a line already? Yes. Okay. Okay. Okay. Oh, Machiko prepared a bento for me with leftover salmon and fried chicken zangi from last night . And, all that’s left is four eggs here. I was thinking of microwaving them and eating them. What should I do? They ‘ll get all soggy. /They’ll get soggy. If they appear, it’ll be a draw. If you can avoid those bumps and stop, it’ll be easier. If I could do that, I don’t think driving would be any trouble. That’s right .
