¥9,800 / $65 Hidden Gem Hotel ✨ Stay in Tokyo’s Ginza – 2-Min Walk + Sushi & Sightseeing 🍣🎌
This time, I’m staying at Tabist Ginza—perfect for strolling around Ginza! It’s close to the old Tsukiji Market and offers great access to the heart of Ginza! Sightseeing, food, and shopping—I’ll be showing you all kinds of spots! Let’s get started! I started from Exit A3 of Tsukiji Shijo Station on the Toei Oedo Line. Heading southwest toward Chuo Market Street. Then turned right onto Enbujo Street. On this channel, I mainly feature hotels, sightseeing spots, and Japanese food in Tokyo and beyond. If you’re interested, I’d really appreciate it if you hit that subscribe button! Just about two minutes from the station. Here’s the price for a semi-double room (for 1 guest, non-smoking). That’s the entrance right over there. This building used to be called E-Hotel Ginza. It reopened as Tabist Ginza in October 2022, so it’s still relatively new. The modern building and red signage make it easy to spot! Alright, time to check in. The lobby is pretty compact, but the large sofas make it feel nice and cozy. It’s great that they offer all these drink options for free! There’s also a microwave and other convenient amenities. They even have a snack vending machine here. Perfect if you get a little hungry! You can buy soft drinks from this vending machine too. Let’s grab what we need from the amenity bar. Alright, let’s head to the room. Tonight’s room is on the 8th floor. It’s right next to the elevator. Let’s see what the room looks like—I’m excited! The room is 9.2 square meters. Soft-colored wallpaper gives it a nice, bright feel. It’s a semi-double bed. The TV area has a bit of extra depth. Looks like a good spot to place your suitcase. There’s a comfy-looking sofa and a small desk. There’s some open space by the door, so you can spread out larger luggage too. Here’s the evacuation map. The room is far from the stairs, but there’s an emergency ladder just in case. Here’s the hanger rack. They also provide indoor slippers. Let’s take a look at the area around the TV. Here’s the remote control for the air conditioner. Below it, you’ll find a kettle, cups, tissues, a hair dryer, and a mini fridge. This hotel is run by Tabist Inc., and their concept is “less hassle, more casual travel.” That’s probably why the amenities are so well thought out! Once you sit down, you can feel how spacious and relaxing the room is. There’s a desk light right by the pillow. The pillow is super fluffy, and the linens are clean—looks like it’ll be a comfortable sleep. Let’s check out the bathroom next. It’s a unit bath with the toilet and bathtub combined. Towels are provided, too. The bathroom is average-sized—not too big or too small, and everything’s within easy reach. Shampoo and body soap are also provided. Alright, let’s go explore the area around the hotel! Time to hit the streets of Ginza! This is Chuo-dori Street. You can see the iconic clock tower of Wako Main Building. From historical buildings to cutting-edge modern architecture, there’s a wide range of scenery to enjoy. At night, the street lights and neon signs light up like an illumination display—so beautiful. It’s hard not to look up while walking through this area! It almost feels like being in a theme park. Ginza is lively and elegant, day or night. We’ve made it to JR Shimbashi Station—it’s about a 15-minute walk from the hotel. Tonight’s dinner spot will be somewhere inside this Shimbashi Station Building No.1. We’re greeted by Tanukou, the raccoon statue! Compared to the glitzy Ginza area, this place has a totally different retro vibe—like stepping into the Showa era. It feels like I’ve time-traveled back a few decades. The narrow alleyways are packed with tiny restaurants. Tonight, I’m going to have dinner at this place—Sushi Uogashi Nihonichi! They have a great variety of sake and drinks too. And the prices are super reasonable—great value for money! The sushi chefs make everything fresh to order, so it’s perfect for a quick bite after work or before heading home. First up is the otoshi appetizer. It has flying fish roe on top—looks delicious! This is the “Masu Mori Double Layer Box” for just ¥794. Getting this for under 1000 yen is such a treat! The colors are beautiful and so appetizing. The second layer is chirashi sushi. It’s a small portion, so it’s perfect as a light side dish. Here it is—the “Tsubaki” set, with 10 pieces of sushi. ¥1800. Each piece looks so fresh and carefully prepared. You can tell they really know what they’re doing. I devoured all 10 pieces in no time—absolutely delicious! Now that I’m full, let’s take a little walk before heading back. We’re at the Hibiya Exit of JR Shimbashi Station. This is the famous SL Plaza you often see on Japanese TV. Officially, it’s called the C11 steam locomotive. It was placed here in 1972 to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Shimbashi Station. It’s a classic meeting spot for office workers in the area. Back at the hotel now. The in-room sleepwear is a two-piece set. It’s made of soft fabric and feels comfortable to wear. I’ve got more exploring to do tomorrow, so I’ll get some good rest tonight. Good night! Good morning! There’s absolutely no view today, haha. But at least the room is bright. To check out, all I have to do is drop the room key here. Super easy! That was my stay at Tabist Ginza. Despite the central Ginza location, the price was pretty reasonable and I was very satisfied with the room. Now, let’s go grab some breakfast! I walked about 5 minutes northeast from the hotel and arrived at Renoir Cafe near Kabukiza Theater. Here, if you order just one drink, you get a free morning set—like bread and a boiled egg. The interior has a cozy retro Showa vibe, and the seats are spaced out nicely. Many people come here to read the newspaper, enjoy a book, or get some work done on their laptops. You can upgrade your breakfast set by paying a little extra on top of the drink price. Today I’m going for the special sandwich set! Surrounded by tall buildings and busy traffic, it’s actually nice to enjoy a slow moment above the city buzz. Renoir’s drip coffee is brewed using the traditional flannel drip method—smooth, rich, and full of deep aroma with no bitterness. Here comes the special sandwich set! It includes a sandwich, soup, and yogurt. Looks delicious! Let’s enjoy it with some iced coffee. Even the iced coffee is made with a flannel drip. It has a bold richness and a sharp, clean bitterness. The soup is a light consommé—perfect for a morning meal. It really hits the spot after waking up. The special sandwich was quite filling and had a nice mustard kick. So good! That was a great breakfast—thank you! Alright, time to head out for more exploring today. I walked about 3 minutes from the Renoir café just now. This stunning building standing out even among modern Ginza architecture is Kabukiza Theater. It’s a dedicated kabuki theater, with performances every month. You can enjoy everything from classical plays to revivals and brand-new works. The white walls and curved roof give it such a dramatic presence. The original building opened in 1889, and after several reconstructions, the current version was completed in 2013—its fifth iteration. They were performing “Sugawara Denju Tenarai Kagami,” one of the classic plays. The white exterior really shines beautifully. Kabukiza Theater is directly connected to Higashi-Ginza Subway Station. Let’s check out Kobikicho Plaza in the basement. This floor includes souvenir shops, restaurants, cafes, and rest areas. You’ll find kabuki-themed items, traditional sweets, and unique goods. It’s a great place to pick up a memorable souvenir. I love how the souvenirs are so uniquely kabuki! They even sell fun items like kabuki-themed socks. Even if you don’t see a show, you can still soak in the kabuki atmosphere here. Next up, I’ve arrived at Tsukiji 4-chome. Let’s go explore Tsukiji Hongwanji Temple from here. This temple originally started in Asakusa, but relocated several times due to fire and disasters. The current main hall was rebuilt between 1931 and 1934, designed by architect Chuta Ito. Let’s purify our hands at the water basin before entering. The architectural style blends motifs from ancient Indian and Asian Buddhist temples. On the gate, you’ll see a symbol called the *Dharma Wheel*, or *Horin* in Japanese. It represents the spreading of Buddha’s teachings throughout the world. In 2014, the building was designated an Important Cultural Property of Japan. Looking at this architecture, you might feel like you’re in another country. The grounds are well maintained—perfect for a relaxing stroll. Now, let’s head into the information center on the temple grounds. Inside, you’ll find the *Tsukiji Hongwanji Café Tsumugi*. The interior is bright, with a warm wooden design. It feels like a relaxing, modern Japanese space. They offer meals, light bites, and traditional sweets—perfect for any time of day. You can enjoy a full view of the temple and grounds through the large windows. Time to try a sweet treat! There are so many kinds of traditional Japanese sweets here. They all look delicious! I went with the *Grilled Mitarashi Dango & Hojicha Cream Anmitsu*. They also have a variety of non-sweet menu options. For drinks, I chose the green tea. The café has a high ceiling and an open, airy feel. Here’s the green tea! They use tea leaves from Fukurofukojuen, a historic tea shop in Osaka. Here comes the grilled mitarashi dango and hojicha cream anmitsu! The bowl is packed with grilled dango, hojicha ice cream, whipped cream, and red bean paste—absolutely stunning. I’ll pour over the syrup and dig in. The grilled dango had a lovely char, and the combination of sweetness and roasted flavor was perfect. There was also some kanten jelly inside. This dessert is just the right size for a little afternoon snack. That was so satisfying! I’ve left the information center and am now walking along the small path in front of the main hall. There are various stone monuments and a memorial for ashes lined along the path. This is a statue of Shinran Shonin, the founder of the Jodo Shinshu sect, to which Tsukiji Hongwanji belongs. It has a powerful presence that makes you want to quietly bow your hands in prayer. Thanks so much for watching all the way to the end. I’ll be sharing more hotels and travel spots in the future, so please don’t forget to **subscribe** to the channel!

The location is crazy! Fancy shopping moors around the hotel, but able to find some inexpensive dinner!
Kabuiza Theater is very beautiful! I may not to watch shows, there are lots of culture lessons to prepare for, but very beautiful indeed~~
When I see the word "築地", I could only think of the fish market, but not Tsukiji Temple, is "築地" fish market nearby?

I never heard of grilled dango before. Now, after some internet research, I have to try.
Love walking around in this area. I will be staying at Shimbashi next month so I might try that sushi restaurant!
Hello and thank you for another impressive video!! This hotel looked absolutely great… and the pay&go corner with food and snacks surprised me a lot, not all hotels have it as far I saw here!! The room looked really mega, always with everything needed for a nice stay… and this time looking at the mini fridge I wondered if it's always on or if you ask, it's turned off. And wow with Ginza, it's truly amazing, from the most modern building with all that luxury brands to the old ones with the retro style… and as always happen with your videos the food make me want to come across the screen and grab some of it for myself, because that sushi and grilled dango looked so good that now I'm craving it for my own dinner!! And the Kabuki theatre and the insides remembered me another similar building I saw on your videos… a shopping centre I think it was!! And the temple puts the pacífic ribbon on the video!!! Love from Spain! 💚🇪🇦
I am a Grandma and will be traveling to Japan by myself so these videos are so helpful. Would you recommend this hotel for a solo older lady? Also why do all the hotels have air spray?
So nice hotel to visit indeed
Super budget friendly for travelers
