Photographed on August 28, 2025. Located in Hachinohe City, Aomori Prefecture. This is the remains of a mountain castle from the Nanboku-cho period. Built in 1334 by Nanbu Moroyuki, it served as the center of the Hachinohe region for approximately 300 years until the transfer of territory in 1627. It is designated as a national historic site. In a previous video on Nejo Castle, I introduced Nejo Castle as another name for Hachinohe Castle, but this was incorrect. I would like to correct this here.
