【黒川温泉】6つの温泉巡り完全ガイド!いこい旅館宿泊&温泉巡りを本音レビュー2025

Hello everyone! Today, I’m going to stay at a ryokan known as “the ultimate destination for hot spring lovers,” where you can enjoy 13 different hot springs in one place. We’ll be heading to Kurokawa Onsen, about an hour by plane from Osaka Kansai Airport, followed by about two hours in a rental car. We arrived at Kumamoto Airport! Kurokawa Onsen is one of Japan’s most famous hot springs, famous for its various ryokans within the hot spring town, where you can enjoy the hot springs using a bath pass. This time, we’ll be staying at Ikoi Ryokan, home to Takinoyu, the only hot spring in Kurokawa Onsen to be selected as one of Japan’s “100 Famous Hidden Hot Springs.” In the second half of the video, we’ll also visit Kumamoto Castle, a delicious Kumamoto ramen restaurant with a Tabelog rating of 3.59 , and take a tour of six hot springs in Kurokawa Onsen . Speaking of Kumamoto, it’s the hometown of Eiichiro Oda, the creator of the manga One Piece. This bronze statue was erected in support of the recovery efforts following the Kumamoto earthquake that occurred in April 2016. We rented a car and set off, but it was raining so hard we couldn’t see in front of us, and it was scary… Whew, the rain finally stopped. Looking around, there’s so much nature, and it’s beautiful. Finally, we arrived at the inn! As expected of a 60-year-old inn, the exterior is very sophisticated . The warmth of the wood and the smell of the hearth are very comforting. By the way, how much does this inn cost? I’ll share the price and my honest impressions of my stay at the end of the video, so be sure to watch until the end! Anyway, back to the topic, I discovered a foot bath! If you arrive a little early, you can probably relax there. Today’s room is “Taikan” on the third floor of the main building. Wow! The brown color scheme gives it a very clean feel. This is a spacious room with an 8-tatami Japanese-style room and a 10-tatami Western-style room, and can accommodate up to four people . The view of the abundant greenery from the window is also nice. The Western-style room has the warmth of wood, and the Japanese-style room has the pleasant scent of tatami. It’s great to be able to enjoy both . This video is still in the middle, but here’s a preview of the next video . Takefue is said to be the “hardest inn to book” in Kurokawa Onsen. Of those, we stayed in the largest building, “Kokuan.” If you’re interested, please subscribe to our channel and rate it highly. As our subscriber numbers increase, it will become easier to negotiate with guests, such as, “Can we film other rooms too?” or “Can we offer special deals exclusively for our viewers ?” I believe we will be able to give back to everyone even more, so please look forward to it ! Now, back to the main program. Outside our room, there is abundant nature and the air is so fresh. We found a yukata! It’s so cute! This bag contains towels and amenities that you take when you go to the hot springs. The colors are perfect for a hot spring yukata . This is a haori coat that you can wear over your yukata. It goes well with both the pink and blue yukatas. Now, let’s take a look at the table. The teacups are aged and tasteful. There were also plenty of tea bags . Here is a list of the hot springs in the hotel. The hot springs that men and women can use vary depending on the time of day. It’s great that the private baths are free! There was also a humidifier and air purifier, and a kettle. The safe was a dial-operated type. As you’d expect from a ryokan, the alcove (alcove ) exudes a sense of quiet hospitality . The bathroom was spacious, the hairdryer was Panasonic , and the toilet was clean. It was a comfortable room. Finally, it was time for dinner . The first drink was draft beer! Drinking beer at a ryokan is especially delicious. It was a luxurious meal! The duck salad and figs served as a starter were a nice accent. Each colorful appetizer was delicious. The sashimi was topped with flounder, kanpachi (cold soybean paste), and tuna fat, and it melted in your mouth. Speaking of Kumamoto, horse sashimi is a must-try! The sweetness spread with each bite. This bowl also contained conger eel, giving it a real summery feel. Next up was grilled yamame trout, a taste of the Japanese mountains. The lemon drizzle made it refreshing. The skin was fragrant, and the meat was plump and light, making it easy to eat. Next up was Aso King Beef steak! Aso-oh beef is a specially selected Akaushi beef. The meat was rich in flavor and not too fatty, making it easy to eat. Next up was chawanmushi (savory egg custard) with a gentle, thick sauce. Then there was the Gorgonzola hotpot, which was packed with seafood and vegetables and very filling. The rich red miso soup was the perfect finishing touch. Finally, for dessert, we had Oguni Jersey milk ice cream, which was smooth and creamy. Breakfast! We had it in the same restaurant as dinner, focusing on Japanese cuisine and offering healthy breakfast options. The breakfast also had a wide selection and was very satisfying. The menu included stews and grilled fish made with local ingredients. You could choose between white rice or porridge. The porridge was delicious. I purchased four hot spring vouchers (1,500 yen each)! These stickers were redeemable for bathing. First, we arrived at Yumotoso. a relaxing space that makes you feel like you’re back at your grandma’s house. While the building was undergoing renovations, we were still able to use the hot springs! Now, let’s bathe! The hot spring was slightly cloudy and very viscous, which felt great. It was a weekday, so there was no one there and we had the place to ourselves. There was a river right in front of the hot spring, so it was nice to soak while listening to the babbling brook. There was a cypress bath in the back, and the smell of the wood was very pleasant . Now, let’s take a look at the townscape on our way to the next hot spring . This is the only cave bath in Kurokawa Onsen, but we weren’t able to use it that day. Next, we went to Kurokawa So. The atmosphere is different from Yumoto So, with a Western and slightly retro feel . This is the indoor bath in the men’s bath. The hot spring is a little greenish, a different color from Yumoto So. Wow! It’s quite spacious. The chirping of birds and the murmuring of the stream are soothing. This is the indoor bath in the women’s bath, and this is the open-air bath. Nature is right in front of you, giving you a sense of freedom. You can relax here after your bath . Next up is Yamabiko Ryokan, famous for its Senninburo (hermit bath) . The color of the hot spring is completely different. It’s cloudy white and slightly greener than Kurokawaso’s. The mountain is right next to the hot spring, so you feel closer to nature. Next up is Fumoto Ryokan ( Hot Springs Inn) . What sets it apart from other hot springs is that the back is shallow, so you can lie down. It’s a bit disappointing that you can’t see the view because of the partition. Since the restaurant was closing, I had vanilla ice cream before lunch. For lunch, I went to Warokuya and ate Kumamoto’s famous Akaushi beef. The main dishes were curry and Akaushi beef set meals. The restaurant was incredibly clean and beautiful. It was past 1pm, so it was fully booked once again . The Akaushi beef set meal is open! The meat was slightly rare, which looked incredibly delicious. You could really taste the sweetness of the fat. It was so tender it melted in your mouth. I ordered the three kinds of curry! Red curry (local curry made with red beef), Black curry (pork and squid ink curry), 帰りました。 English: After lunch, we had white curry (a curry made with Aso Oguni Jersey milk and tomatoes). It was the second half of our hot spring tour. The path filled with nature was very pleasant. The sound of the river was soothing. Next, we headed to Iyashino Satokiyashiki. We checked in on the second floor and headed to the hot spring. The hot spring is not inside the building, but is located a little way back the way we came. We headed there from here. These are the indoor and open-air baths for women. This hot spring, called “Manten no Yu,” is designed so that you can see the starry sky when you look up. This is the indoor bath for men. Outside, there was a shallow tub bath with a slightly lower temperature. This is a standing bath. My husband, who is 172 cm tall, was quite tight. This is the Manten no Yu at the very back. As the name suggests, there is an excellent sense of openness when you look up. If you come at night, you can probably see a starry sky. Finally, we arrived at Oku no Yu. Unlike other hot springs, this one has a mixed bathing area. This is the , and apparently you can eat steamed eggs and steamed vegetables here. It’s The space after bathing is cool and I love it . This is the entrance to the hot spring. There are lovely decorated plates indoor bath for women. There was a sauna and a cold bath . At the top of the stone steps, there was the women’s-only open-air bath. The sound of the water was soothing. This is the small cave bath in the mixed bathing area. This is a river bath. It’s almost right next to the river, so you can bathe while feeling the nature. Oku-no-yu has the most variety, with a cave bath, river bath, sauna, and a large open-air bath. The bath is also shallow, so it’s relaxing like a reclining bath. so this is a hot spring touring method recommended by a hot spring sommelier. You can enjoy not only bathing but also the order in When touring hot springs with a bath pass, time management is important. Visiting six hot springs in two hours is quite a challenge, which you visit the hot springs! Every hot spring had a warning sign saying, “Be careful not to over-enter the hot springs.” It seems best to divide your time and visit about three at a leisurely pace. As an aside, I’ve finished the plate I made on my previous trip to Ishigaki Island ^^ It’s really beautiful. You can see where I made it in this video, so please take a look! From here, we’ll move on to the sightseeing section! I went to Kumamoto Castle during the rainy season, so it was raining really hard. This is Sakuranobaba’s “Josaien,” a spot where you can enjoy food while walking around. It’s like a castle town, and it’s wonderful! There are souvenir shops and places to have lunch. The townscape with its tiled roofs and white walls feels like a time warp, creating a lovely atmosphere. Speaking of Kumamoto, horse sashimi is a must-try! I ordered horse sashimi sushi. was soft and very delicious! Next, I wanted something sweet, so I ordered matcha ice cream for dessert. The “%” indicates the strength of the matcha. Since I was there, I ordered the richest, Taigyauma Kabai. It was as rich as it looked, wasn’t it? It was as rich as ice cream with lots of matcha powder added. It was incredibly rich, with a slight bitterness, and a sophisticated taste. The tea also won the Kumamoto Prefectural Governor’s Award . Now, let’s head to the castle! Since we were there, we decided to visit Kumamoto Castle and the Wakuwakuza Museum . We started at the Wakuwakuza Museum, which had a history of Kumamoto Castle and a quiz about famous people! There were three multiple-choice questions, but some were difficult, so even adults can enjoy it! There was a model showing the damage caused by the Kumamoto earthquake. This is a tile that fell from the castle tower during the earthquake. It really shows the magnitude of the earthquake. There was footage of the earthquake at the time. I was overwhelmed by the sheer scale of it. There were also photos on display, and just looking at them made my heart ache. I left Wakuwakuza and headed to Kumamoto Castle. Rain and hydrangeas are so beautiful, aren’t they? It was so beautiful. I could see Kumamoto Castle! It’s so impressive!! This is the view from the castle tower. It feels great. You can see the whole cityscape. Finally, I went to Akagumi, a Kumamoto ramen restaurant with a 3.59 rating on Tabelog. A bowl of ramen for just 600 yen is great value! It looks delicious! The base is pork bone soup with burnt garlic oil, which has an addictive flavor. It’s not heavy, and the ramen is easy to eat. The noodles were also delicious, so I was very satisfied! Finally, I’ll share my honest impressions and the accommodation fee. First of all, the great thing about staying at Koi Ryokan was that there were 12 different baths available within the hotel alone, and even when I got bitten by a mosquito in the middle of the night, they rushed over when I called the front desk. As for things I’d like to see improved, while dinner was generally delicious, the horse sashimi was a little hard to chew (especially since I had high expectations for Kumamoto’s horse sashimi). The good thing about the whole trip was that Kurokawa Onsen has a variety of hot springs, and by using the hot spring pass, you can enter many hot springs at ryokans you’re not staying at. Also , the red beef I had for lunch was the best meat I’ve ever eaten. On the other hand, I was exhausted after using the hot spring pass to visit six hot springs, or nine in one day. Be careful not to overdo it, as it can be tiring. Also, since I came during the rainy season, I wasn’t able to explore the hot spring town at night. Also, the cave bath at Shinmeikan was popular, so I couldn’t enter , so it’s best to check when it’s available ! Finally, here are the prices! Ikoi Ryokan, which has been in business for 60 years, is the only inn in Kurokawa Onsen to be selected as one of Japan’s 100 Famous and Hidden Hot Springs, and is home to the Takinoyu and Bijinyu baths, as well as 12 different baths all in one inn. So , how much does it cost for two adults for two days and one night with two meals included? The answer is… 44,550 yen! If you’d like to stay at this inn , please check out the link to the reservation site in the description. And if you would like to support this channel… please subscribe and rate it highly! The more subscribers we get, the easier it will be to negotiate requests like, “Can I film other rooms too?” or “Can you offer a special plan just for viewers?” This channel posts videos with themes of high-quality stay experiences surrounded by “breathtaking views,” “hot springs,” and “tranquility.” To ensure you don’t regret choosing a hotel for important occasions like wedding anniversaries and 60th birthday celebrations , see you in the next video!
