The large public bath is a spacious indoor bath and an open-air bath with a sense of openness. 100% natural hot spring water flows directly from the source. The cave bath at the bottom of the stairs is a private bath with an ancient hot spring source. A private open-air bath with a view is at the top of 85 steps. 国の登録有形文化財に指定されている歴史あるこちらのお宿、銀山温泉では唯一の日本秘湯を守る会の宿。
館内はレトロな雰囲気、赤い上着でいつでも温泉街に行ける気遣いが嬉しい♪
客室は全15室。今回は唯一ベッドルーム付きの川側和洋室。
大浴場は男女別の内湯と露天風呂。広い内湯と開放感ある露天風呂はどちらも源泉100％かけ流し。
階段を降りて雰囲気抜群の洞窟の湯は、昔からの源泉を楽しめる貸切風呂。
85段の階段を登った先にある貸切展望露天風呂は、大型の木造りのお風呂で、滝が見える贅沢なお風呂。
食事は地元山形の食材中心にとても豪華。秘湯ビールを飲んで、名物の尾花沢牛と鯉のあらい・鯉の甘露煮をいただいて大満足。
朝食も夕食と同様にとても豪華。名物のおしんめしと地元の湯豆腐を熱々でいただけば、朝からパワー全開。
