Kaimiiru
Blue Seal Miyakojima Painagama Branch
Maruyoshi Shokudo
HAKONIWA NAMIMA
Doug’s Coffee Miyakojima Main Branch Please be sure to watch until the end. First, we’re heading to
Ikema Bridge and Kaimiiil. Ikema Island is about a 30-minute drive from Miyakojima Airport. The blue sea comes into view and we are almost there. Is Ikema Bridge from here? What! Already the end? This bridge is not Ikema Ohashi Bridge but Sewatari Bridge. There’s what appears to be a parking lot on the right This is the Ikema Ohashi Bridge Karimata Parking Lot. I stopped by later, but the view was amazing, so I’ll introduce it first. The view from the car looks amazing, and I’m looking forward to it. The clarity and sparkle of the water.
And the color is just stunning. Ahead is Ogamijima, the island where the gods live. You can get a panoramic view of the Ikema Ohashi Bridge. You can get a panoramic view of the Ikema Ohashi Bridge. This is Ikema Ohashi Bridge. Opened in February 1992,
the 1,425-meter-long Ikema Ohashi Bridge connects Ikema Island with Miyako Island. When it first opened, it was the longest bridge in Okinawa Prefecture,
but has since been surpassed by the Kurima Ohashi Bridge and Irabu Ohashi Bridge. Ikema Island looks large, and we’ll soon be arriving. I stopped by “Kaimiiru,” a souvenir shop and restaurant located at the foot of the bridge. It is written as “Kaimiru” and pronounced as “Kaimiiru”. I plan to buy “Beniimomochi” here. It has a fragrant sesame aroma and a chewy texture. Smiling dog. But is he a little overweight? I came to the bridge. Of course, this bridge has a sidewalk, so you can walk across it. It looks like we can go under the bridge, so we head there. The beautiful ocean comes into view. The gradation of blue and the crystal clear sea are incredibly beautiful. Apparently you can see the bridge from the roof of the shop, so I decided to go. There’s also a third floor, so we head up. It’s a special spot from which you can get a panoramic view of the bridge and the surrounding area. I highly recommend stopping by here. Please subscribe to our channel. Next, we’re headed to
Blue Seal Miyakojima Painagama. It’s just over a 10-minute drive from Miyakojima Airport. It’s a relatively new store, having opened in March 2022. We arrive at Palm Town, where Blue Seal is located. Let’s go inside. What’s this handle? ?
Ice cream! As soon as we stepped inside, we were greeted with a huge ice cream. The whole store was filled with huge ice creams. This sign is
ICE STAND 385 (Miyako). Everything looks so real, you could eat it.
But it’s huge (lol). It’s sure to be a great photo spot. Even the chandelier is soft serve ice cream. We ordered vanilla and island pine coconut,
salted chinsuko, and strawberry cheesecake. Thank you for the meal.
It was delicious. The morning of our third and final day After checking out, we left the hotel. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t good today.
The weather forecast is also rain. Meanwhile, our next destination is Maruyoshi Shokudo. It’s about a 15-minute drive from Miyako Airport. It’s close to Shigira Seven Miles Resort and less than 10 minutes from Wellness Villa Brisa, the farthest. Established in 1961, this popular soba restaurant has been in business for three generations. We’re almost there. I heard there would be a wait, but it seemed like it was empty. As expected, there was a seat available and we were shown to a table immediately. The menu was simple: soba noodles, beer, rice, and zyushi. Condiments included koregusu, shichimi (seven-spice powder), and curry powder. Wow! Looks delicious! I ordered sanmainiku soba and. Miyako soba (large). This Miyako soba is unusual. Hunks of meat and kamaboko (fish cake) are hidden under the noodles. This is apparently the “original Miyako soba.” The sanmainiku is tender and the fat melts in your mouth. And as it’s called sanmainiku, there were three pieces (lol). The noodles were medium-thin and straight. The broth was based on pork bones and bonito flakes, with a hint of garlic.
It was delicious and I think I’d become addicted to it. This meat is thick. Thank you for the meal.
It was delicious. When I entered the restaurant there were some empty seats, but before I knew it it was full. When I went outside there was a line of people waiting to get in. It’s currently 11:30 and this is the situation.
I’m glad I came early. Next we head to Kurima Island. There’s a shop I’d like to drop by. It’s the original T-shirt house,
NAMIMA. Kurima Island, where NAMIMA is located, is about a 20-minute drive from Miyako Airport
or Shigira Seven Miles Resort. From here is the Kurima Bridge. The weather is, as expected, rainy. The view from the Kurima Bridge has also lost its color. Does the navigation system end here? But it doesn’t seem to be here. I’m sure this was the signboard. It looks like the left. Here it is. The general store is in the foreground and the T-shirt house is in the back. There are a lot of turtle-themed items here. (Apparently, the owner loves turtles.) This is my favorite. In addition to T-shirts, they also have accessories. I bought this. Of course, both are original. We leave Kurima Island and head to the main island of Miyakojima. Then we headed to Doug’s Coffee. It’s located in Hirara, the center of Miyakojima. I came here after reading reviews saying they serve delicious coffee. The interior is chic and has a nice atmosphere. They seem to provide information about where the coffee beans are grown. You can choose from five types of beans for your hot coffee.
(There are two types of iced coffee.) I ordered a cafe latte.
The shop recommends it. It’s still raining heavily outside. I arrived at San-A in the rain. I bought some souvenirs here. There are some inexpensive items you can buy. By the time I returned my rental car, the sky was clearing. The weather in Okinawa is changeable. We’re heading to Miyakojima Airport in a shuttle bus. Our trip is almost over. How was your first time in Miyakojima? It rained on the third day (although sunny days are definitely better). I hope this article helps you plan your trip and gives you a taste of the travel atmosphere. Oh, I forgot.
Finally, say hello to Mamoru-kun and the Ataraka Shisa. This “Mamoru-kun” is actually called “Itaru-kun” and is Mamoru-kun’s brother. Where is Itaru-kun staring intently? This is an Ataraka Shisa. Miyakojima was the best.
I’ll definitely come again. See you next time. Thank you for watching until the end. If you haven’t subscribed yet, please do so as it will encourage us to continue creating. If you think this video is good, please give it a thumbs up. I look forward to your comments too.
