【フェリー旅】昭和・平成世代には懐かしすぎる景色のフェリー…!! 国際両備フェリー「おりんぴあ どりーむ」小豆島→岡山【旅行におすすめ】
Hello everyone. My name is TOMONI. I am currently visiting Shodoshima, the second largest island in Kagawa Prefecture. Please see my previous video to find out why I am here in Shodoshima. I am TOMONI and I am very satisfied with the delicious somen noodles from Shodoshima . Continuing from the last video, I would like to continue enjoying the boat trip . In this video, I will be taking the International Ryobi Ferry’s “Olympia” from Tonosho Port in Shodoshima to Shin-Okayama Port in Okayama Prefecture . Boarding the “Dream” Now, let’s go! Normally, I would start filming from the station nearest to the port where I board , but this time I started filming from Tonosho Port. This is because I was sightseeing around Odo Island using a rental bicycle that can be borrowed from this building. It’s dangerous to film while driving, so I looked towards the port and discovered the Shodoshima Ferry just leaving for Takamatsu Port. Unlike the ferry I took from Takamatsu Port, which was wrapped in the Pokemon Yadon, this one was wrapped in the Olive character. It’s very interesting to see how each ship is different. Now, let ‘s purchase a ticket for the International Ryobi Ferry that I will be boarding this time. Let’s go inside. You can buy your ticket in this building. It seems that this building handles not only the tickets for the International Ryobi Ferry we will be boarding this time , but also tickets for other shipping companies. When you enter the building, you will find a large space like this, which seems to be a small rest area. The air conditioning is working really hard , which is very convenient on a midsummer day when the temperature exceeds 35 degrees Celsius , so I thought I would buy my ticket early, but it seems that tickets are not on sale yet as they are not on sale yet as they only go on sale 30 minutes before departure. There are only a few minutes until 1:30, when tickets start to be sold. I bought a drink from a vending machine inside the building and was relaxing when… Before I knew it, it was time for tickets to go on sale , and I was able to successfully purchase my ticket. This time, I purchased a Kamome bus ticket that included the ferry fare from Tonosho Port to Shin-Okayama Port and the bus fare from Shin-Okayama Port to Okayama Station. The fare was 1,500 yen per adult. After purchasing the ticket, I headed to the terminal where the International Ryobi Ferry departs and arrives. Please note that it is a little far from the building where I purchased the ticket earlier, so you will need to walk as shown here. Now, let ‘s go inside the terminal. When I entered, I saw art, or should I say…? Large monuments like this were on display, and the ticket office where I was just a little while ago was also there. It creates a completely different atmosphere. The wooden tub in the foreground is probably related to the production of soy sauce, a specialty of Shodoshima, but what do the animal bone-like things in the background represent ? If you’re curious, be sure to take a look at the real thing . By the way, you can purchase your ticket in this building, but please note that the Kamome Bus ticket I purchased can only be purchased at the ticket booth mentioned earlier. So, I decided to wait a little until boarding time began. It seems that the ferry I will be boarding today has arrived at Tonosho Port, so I will go and take a look right away. I left the terminal and walked for about 20 seconds and there it was…!! The Olympia Ferry, the ferry I will be boarding today, is located here. 海 を乗り 継いで 旅を乗り継 いで 旅を乗り継 いで 旅を乗り継いで 旅を乗 り継いで 旅を乗り継いで 旅を乗りました。 English : This is the appearance of “Olympia Dream” The specs of the ship are like this This “Olympia Dream” has special equipment that is rarely seen on other ferries , but you will find out once you board I was excited, but unfortunately it seems that it is currently closed … As I continued forward, I saw the passenger compartment area with its rows of seats. It was very stylish, but there were not many tables compared to the number of seats, so it might not be suitable for working on a computer. As I continued forward , I came across the familiar passenger compartment area, the kind of seat that you would expect on a short-distance ferry. The passenger compartment has a bright atmosphere and you can feel the warmth of wood. At the very back, there are ocean view seats with the Seto Inland Sea stretching out before you , but it was quite crowded, so I decided to use this seat that was available on this voyage . It’s great that the seats by the window have small tables like this. Having secured a seat, I put my luggage down and went for a walk inside the ship. Here we are, at the observation deck on the third floor. The figure painted on the central pillar is “Triton”, a character from Greek mythology. “Triton” is the son of the sea god Poseidon and is often depicted with a mermaid-like figure, with the upper body of a human and the lower body of a fish. And this is the observation deck at the back, but there’s something unusual there… This “Olympia Dream” actually has some play equipment . It’s not quite an amusement park, but it looks like the rooftop of an old department store. Unfortunately, the fare box was blocked off, so it’s probably not currently in operation. If you have used it, please leave a comment with your impressions. By the way, this swing next to the merry-go-round seems to still be working fine, and there were no warning signs, so I went for a ride (lol). It’s a little embarrassing to ride alone, but you can relax and enjoy the scenery , so it’s totally fine… (lol) And, while I was trying out the swing , it seems the ship has already departed Tonosho Port. Perhaps because I was swinging on the swing myself , I didn’t notice that we had already departed at first… So, we departed right on schedule at 2pm . Now, here we are, on the third floor observation deck, and there are several other facilities in addition to the merry-go-round and swings, so I’d like to introduce them to you. The first is this foot bath attached to the central funnel. The photo was taken in July, so according to the sign, it seems to be open for use. What do you think of this…? The second is the bouldering wall next to the foot bath. The third is a small slide on the opposite side of the bouldering, but unfortunately there are ropes in front of the slide and the bouldering, and it seems that they are not allowed to be used. Now that we’ve introduced the slightly unusual play equipment, let’s head from the observation deck on the third floor to the observation deck on the fourth floor. The fourth floor is the top floor of the ship. After climbing the stairs, there is a small seating area. There is a steering wheel, or a steering wheel, in this location, and it seems that you can actually turn it. Of course, this has no effect on the actual direction of the ship, so don’t worry. When I looked, I saw yellow duck dolls placed here and there, and the playfulness that was overflowing made me smile. The fourth floor observation deck has a seating area filled with such playfulness, and of course the view is outstanding. At this time, I was able to see Shodoshima just as it was getting farther away. I enjoyed the view for a while, but it was a scorching hot midsummer day, and the heat was starting to get unbearable, so I decided to go back inside the ship . I went to the shop on the ship, but it seemed to be closed . I hadn’t bought a Mifune-in yet , and was wondering what to do… when a staff member called out to me and I was able to buy one without any problems. Thank you so much…!! The Mifune-in design is very colorful and has a different feel to the Mifune-in designs of other ships, which is really nice.By the way, it seems that the shop sells other snacks like potato chips in addition to the Mifune -in, so we have completed our walk around the ship.In a normal video, we would cut to the next event, but since we have taken this opportunity, please enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of the cruise with the beautiful scenery. So , what do you think? As a new attempt, we have packed in a stylish look at the cruise. The stylish part, or Osha-part for short (lol) In this Osha-part There will inevitably be no narration in the video , but this is my first attempt at creating a special part, so I would be very happy if you could feel free to comment with your thoughts on it. Of course, comments other than your thoughts on the special part are also very welcome, so we are also looking forward to hearing requests such as “I would like you to ride this boat.” Now, if you look at the front of the boat, can you see it? Little by little, land is beginning to come into view. It is still a little far away, but this is Shin-Okayama Port , the arrival point for this boat trip . As you all know, Okayama Prefecture is known as the land associated with the Momotaro legend, and there are many tourist spots such as Okayama Castle and Korakuen Garden. In addition, The catchphrase is “Okayama, the Land of Sunshine.” Okayama Prefecture has little rainfall and a relatively warm climate even in winter. Furthermore, natural disasters such as typhoons are relatively rare. Therefore, the catchphrase “Okayama, the Land of Sunshine” has been used since 1989, the first year of the Heisei era. We are now arriving at Shin-Okayama Port, the gateway to Okayama Prefecture. Is this building in front of us the Shin-Okayama Port terminal? When you think of a ferry terminal, you might imagine something more impersonal, but Shin-Okayama Port is very stylish. The scheduled arrival time is 3:10 p.m. Every time I travel by boat, I think to myself, ” The navigation skills that allow the ship to arrive on time are truly amazing…!!” Weather Although it seems like the time might be a little off due to the influence of the waves, we are very grateful that we arrive almost exactly on time almost every time, which means we don’t have to adjust our schedule afterwards. We disembarked following the announcement on board, and trucks had already started disembarking on the vehicle deck. As always, disembarking on short-distance ferries is very smooth from arrival . When we disembarked, we were able to see the “Triton” painted on the hull, which we hadn’t been able to see when we boarded . Since we were there, let’s take a look at the terminal at Shin-Okayama Port. Inside , we found a calm, wood-toned space with a high ceiling, which gave it a very open feel. In addition to drinks, souvenirs and small snacks are also sold in the terminal, so it seems like it won’t be a problem even if you arrive early. Now, as for transportation from Shin-Okayama Port to the nearest station, Okayama Station, I have a “Kamome Bus ticket” that I bought before boarding, so I will wait at this bus stop right in front of the terminal . It seems that the bus basically departs 10 minutes after the ferry arrives. After I started waiting at the bus stop, about 3 minutes later, the bus arrived at 3:20 pm as scheduled. The design of the bus is quite interesting. At first, I thought that Universal Studios Japan had also I thought it might be the famous character with a real face , but it seems I’m not. As soon as I got on the bus filled with characters, we departed from Shin-Okayama Port. It takes about 40 minutes from Shin-Okayama Port to the final destination, Okayama Station , and we take our time, stopping at several bus stops along the way . That brings us to the end of this boat trip . Every Friday on this channel, we post videos showcasing the charms of slightly unusual travel, mainly boat trips, so if you like it, we’d be very happy if you could subscribe, rate it highly, and leave a comment. Well then, see you in the next video . Thank you for watching until the end.
