This time, I went to Teuchi Kobo Udon-tei, a very popular tempura restaurant in Kannami-cho, Tagata-gun , after hearing that they serve “Udon noodles with a texture that has been discovered by the owner himself”. The interior of the restaurant has a calm atmosphere with the warmth of wood, and the restaurant can accommodate up to 25 people, with counter seats, table seats, and tatami rooms. The menu is also rich, so even if you know what you want to order, it’s hard to decide. It’s a weekday-only lunch for 980 yen. The udon noodles here have a new texture that is soft and chewy. The tempura in the set is shimeji mushrooms and pumpkin. Both are delicious. The inari, which is only available while supplies last, is also great! I also ordered the winter-only nabeyaki udon for 1,380 yen and the shimeji tempura for 250 yen, which is one of the restaurant’s selling points. As a second stop, I also went to Spica, an authentic Italian gelato specialty store in the same Kannami-cho . This is a shop with a wide selection of delicious gelato, and if you try it once, you’ll definitely want to come back.
