Hello from KOBE Morning Cafes ! This time, we’ll be touring cafes in Kobe where you can enjoy breakfast. Waking up a little early and enjoying a delicious breakfast is a great way to start your day! We hope this information will be helpful for your Kobe sightseeing and morning routine. Our first stop is a cafe near Sannomiya Station, where we’ll enjoy a Mori Morning. The interior is spacious and surrounded by green trees. Mori Morning is available from 6:30 AM. Today, we chose the muffin plate. We chose two muffins…there was such a wide selection that it was hard to choose! Drinks are free. The muffins are re-baked and served. Delicious! There’s also a generous serving of green salad, which is great for your health. There’s also free Wi-Fi, so you can relax. It was delicious, thank you for the meal. Our second stop is a cafe near Hanakuma Station and Nishimotomachi Station. It opens at 8:30 AM. We order on the first floor and wait in the seats on the second floor. It’s a small shop with only 11 seats, but everything on the menu is delicious, making it one of my favorite cafes. I enjoyed browsing their wide selection of magazines while I waited. This is a morning-only menu item. It’s simple and delicious, with portions that aren’t too large. The focaccia sandwich (smoked salmon) was from another day, but I also recommend it for mornings when you want something a little more substantial! The generous filling and homemade focaccia are delicious. It was delicious, thank you for the meal. Our third stop was in the Kitano area… We walked up Kitanozaka. This simple and very stylish restaurant is popular for its lunch and cafe menu, but they also serve breakfast from 9:30am. The salad was beautifully colored, and of course, delicious! The main course was so captivating it was almost a shame to eat it. The sweet and salty flavors were a perfect harmony. A mouthful…♡ I’d definitely like to treat myself to another dish… It was delicious, thank you for the meal. Since we’ve come all the way up Kitanozaka, we’ll stop by another shop. We’ll visit a sister shop, located right next to social. This patisserie cafe exudes simple charm. (The cafe is open from 11:00 AM.) Today, I bought some baked goods as a small gift for a friend, and the bread looked delicious, so I bought some. It’s a lovely shop that looks like it could be found on a street corner in Paris. Next up, we’ll head to a cafe in the Kitano Ijinkan. This cafe was renovated from the former Dislefsen House (also known as Mon Chohong House), designed by British architect AN Hansel. The Ijinkan building was passed down from Mr. Dislefsen to Mr. Mon Chohong, creating an atmospheric space with an exquisite mix of Western and Chinese styles. In this lovely space, you can enjoy breakfast starting at 8:00 AM. The menu changes between weekends and weekdays, with this one being a weekend-only menu. It’s a hearty and filling breakfast! This steamed version of their signature “Moo” bread is called “Steamer.” It’s piping hot, and the scrambled eggs are perfectly cooked! The bread was chewy and sweet, and delicious. It’s quite filling, so I recommend coming on an empty stomach. There’s also a courtyard in the back. It’s lovely to be able to relax and enjoy the Western-style architecture. It was delicious, thank you for the meal. Our fifth stop is a cafe located up the hill toward Yamate from Hanakuma Station, Kencho-mae Station, or Motomachi Station. Open from 7:30 AM, this cafe is perfect for enjoying some time alone. It’s a solo cafe, so even if you’re with someone, please keep the conversation to a minimum. The time flows peacefully and quietly… The crunchy scones are a must-try here , as is the tomato and lentil soup. Recharge your morning energy and immerse yourself in a good book for a while… “licht” means “light” in German. Filled with the pleasant morning light, the shop offered a wonderful, relaxing experience. It was delicious, thank you for the meal. Finally, we visited a representative Kobe shop, located about a 10-minute walk from Shin-Kobe Station and Sannomiya Station. First, we went to the cafe on the second floor. The Gothic architecture was beautiful. ♡ I couldn’t help but sigh . The stained glass was also spectacular. The interior, bright with light coming through the windows, was a former chapel. It was very spacious . They also offer a morning menu until 11:30. Choose your cake from the board brought to you by the staff. This tart featured seasonal fruit and was coated in chocolate. The sandwich bread was made with freshly baked bread from the adjacent factory that morning. Let’s also take a look at the shop on the first floor, where they have a delightful cookie set . Along with the classic cookie assortment, they also have some delicious looking breads. Founded by a German named Freundlieb, this shop is said to have popularized German bread in Kobe.
