Important Notes / tips:
1. The descend out from Shibuya Sky building with lift will be congested after 9pm as only designated to operate after the building closing time .
2. Popular times for observation decks are during sunset – around 5pm – 530pm so inevitably it can be congested or has a big crowd
3. Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building and Carrot Tower observatory are Free.
4. Gotokuji Temple Shop may be closed during lunch hours . So if you have a tight schedule and wish to purchase the ceramic maneki neko, avoid going during lunch time hours.
5. We decided to dine dinner at TeppanYaki as there was no line or waiting time to queue. There are plenty of options for dinner around .
6. Bring a powerbank for your handphone
7. Shibuya Sky entry has a locker for you to put your backpacks and stuff.
8. We manage to catch the sun setting at Mori Tower – Tokyo City View
9. Google Maps is essential in navigating the destination and subways.
10. Buy the 72 hours Tokyo Subway Pass (24h and 48h tickets also available) online before your Japan trip. I sometimes enter wrong train gate but with the pass lets you exit and enter another gate with ease.
11. Book your Shinkansen seat and baggage area one month in advance.
12. Select seat E if you want to see Mount Fuji (Osaka – Nagoya – Tokyo) (Tokyo to Osaka )
13. Mount Fuji view on a bullet train ride is most visible from November to March. To maximize this chance view, take the early morning train ride
