[Music] [Applause] hi I’m with uh president Dimitri of Windam Hotels and Resorts tell me which region you are leading now no it’s uh it’s imia Europe Middle East Eurasia and Africa we we we already we have a presence in 45 countries almost almost 700 hotels yes and and growing very fast uh and very excited very excited to talk to you about it thank you very much tell me more about your Brands look we we’ve got 25 Brands and and one of the key messages that we always communicated to our customers is that we make travel possible for all we have brands that they cater for every single traveler different needs different consumers and that’s the beauty of travel right travel is not just about economy or just luxury it’s about the whole spectrum of why people travel and where they want to travel to so we we believe in the democratization of travel and we believe in making travel possible for all and that’s what our brands are standing for that’s a very good message for The Travelers now tell me what kind of investment you were looking at from this kind of forum look this is uh this is an interesting we we always support uh this this event uh we always have a presence here it’s a great opportunity to connect with the industry it’s a a great opportunity to connect with our peers it’s a great opportunity to connect with Consultants people who are bringing new projects so and it’s a great opportunity again to showcase the depth and the importance the hospitality industry has for the region uh all the major countries in the in the GCC region they have put Hospitality as a key focus on their 5 10 15 or 20 year plan they are growing the you know hospitality is growing it’s GTP contribution to every single country and is becoming a way for local societies to become more you know uh wider open to the world so for us is not just about you know making business it’s all about being present and being part of what the hospitality industry is actually doing in this region so I can understand and Imagine by your message that it is your properties are very sustainable yeah I mean look sustainability our window our window green product is is one of the leading products in the industry we are very proud that we are among the first um companies that they made Windom green uh level one which is the basic level of certification as a brand standard for our economy hotels uh we are we are again as I said we are very proud because many of our hotels or the majority of our hotels in my region they actually meet the great the level one of the of the Windom green certification and funny enough in India we have more hotels in level four and level five so sustainability for Windom is not just about a buzz word it’s actually a way of life you made it actually yeah I mean we we we have to because we have to you know the we are part of the world sustainable Hospitality Alliance and we have a we have a tagline we need to give back more than we take so we need to give back to humanity and the planet more than we take ility is is as I said it’s not just a buzz word it’s a way of life way of life and uh what kind of properties you have to support the mice events look we um we are we we acquired 10 years actually 10 years ago we acquired The Dol brand DOL hotels and resorts uh it was predominantly built as a mice as a mice business as a mice brand actually uh on Friday I I was I was so privileged and honor to be in the presence of Mr Andy DOL uh the guy who founded the brand 89 years old 40 Years of of hospitality experience we bought the DOL brand from Mr an DOL 10 years ago and we just open a beautiful standing The Dol Versa next to the Palace so that is a brand that caters for all the mice business but a lot of our hotels in in the midscale and upper scale category they do have mice and and Conference facilities so we as I said we we cater for every type of traveler for every travel or every travel need anyway so being the president of these regions what is your vision for next 5 years wow the next 5 years you know it’s interesting um you open up uh you watch the news and you get another curveball every single day so your business plan for even for the day changes so so look first of all uh for our owners and our team members to be healthy to be strong for my own team to be still excited to work for Windam because it’s it’s a people’s business we don’t forget that um to grow Our Brands in in new destinations and new locations and um to continue to make people happy um you know hospitality is the happiness industry is is an industry that that that you know no matter the reason you travel you travel for business to collect with your loved on make experience exactly they they want to they want to they want to take those days to to reach Hearts right and that’s what we we’re going to try my inspiration for the next 5 years is to make sure that we make more and more people happy thank you so much
