A day trip to Wakayama! We headed to Wakayama Marina City, just a little over an hour from Osaka. Marina City is a resort facility located in Kemi, Wakayama City. Lined with palm trees, it’s an exciting, international atmosphere . Enjoy Porto Europa, Kuroshio Market, hot springs, and more. Kuroshio Market is famous for its tuna filleting show! Unfortunately, we arrived just after the show… This restaurant serves freshly filleted tuna sushi. We enjoyed it on a terrace seat overlooking the ocean. ♡ Beautiful red chu-toro ♡ Fatty otoro! Amazing! ♡ The market is a treasure trove of delicious seafood! There was an abundance of fresh sushi toppings. I was so excited I couldn’t speak properly lol. After purchasing our sushi, we decided to choose the ingredients for our seafood BBQ! Shrimp, scallops, and squid are musts. There were a variety of meats available, but we decided to focus on seafood this time. Delicious looking dishes kept appearing, so we couldn’t resist! When we saw the butter potato and crab gratin, we decided immediately! A seafood BBQ with an ocean view! We continued to grill them. The irresistible visuals 🤤 were finally done. I can’t wait ♡ for the seafood festival ☺ It’s also great to be able to buy local vegetables and fruits at the Farmers Mart 🍅 in front of Kuroshio Market . Porto Europa is modeled after a Mediterranean port town. With its colorful buildings and cobblestone alleys, it truly feels like Europe. It’s a photogenic streetscape. There are several attractions, seasonal events, and even a gardening shop, so it seems like there’s plenty to enjoy. It’s a five-minute drive along the coastal road to the cafe. The interior is stylish and open, with plenty of greenery. When my husband is tired from work, he wants to look at the ocean. It seemed like he was able to refresh himself. ◎ According to fortune-telling, “water” is a lucky element for us as a couple, so the healing scenery energized us. Another way to relax: a hot spring ♨ About an hour south from the Kemi area we were in earlier, we arrived in the Hidaka area. Michishio no Yu is a day-trip hot spring located along the coast. After our bath, we enjoyed some Wakayama mandarin orange juice! It was a fantastic hot spring with a great view of the ocean. We headed to dinner while enjoying a sunset drive. Along the way, we found a great camping spot. We were looking for “Yura Champon,” a specialty of Yura Town, Hidaka County. The famous restaurant “Okawa,” which we wanted to visit, was booked for the day. So, we quickly searched for a place to eat Yura Champon and found the local Chinese restaurant “Son Goku.” We were thrilled with the traditional Chinese menu. It was a thick, thick ramen with a seafood soy sauce broth, a favorite at local restaurants. Everything on the menu was delicious! Here are some recommended spots in the Yura area that we visited on another day! We went day camping at Shirasaki Marine Park, known as “Japan’s Aegean Sea.” The campsite is close to the ocean, so be careful of strong winds depending on the weather. The white limestone of the campsite made a stunning contrast with the TFS white tarp! The fried rice my husband made was delicious! Wakayama’s charm is profound. I would also like to go further south to the Shirahama area ♪ The night view of the Sakai Senboku coastal industrial area on the way back was breathtaking!

今回の旅は、大阪に隣接する和歌山県。
和歌山は縦に長く、北部は都市部、中部は海と山の自然豊かなエリア、南部は白浜や熊野など大自然エリア。
今回は、毛見と由良（北部から中部）へ行ってきました。和歌山グルメも存分に堪能した海沿いドライブ旅♪
