Today we’re going on a day trip to one of my dream destinations in Japan, Takioho Gorge in Miyazaki Prefecture. We booked this day trip via Cook for more or less 3,000 pesos. The tour begins with a 3-hour long but comfortable bus ride from Fukuoka to Miyazaki. Our first stop is the highlight of the trip, Takioho Gorge. It started with a 15minute downhill hike to Manai waterfalls. [Music] Upon reaching the gorge, you will see cliffs carved by volcanic lava surround the emerald green river below. You can rent a boat to paddle through the river or just enjoy the view from the viewing deck. [Music] Visiting in summer is especially beautiful. The river is surrounded by lush greens and the water shines in deep shades of blue and green. [Music] [Music] Don’t forget to go to the other end of the river and enjoy the view of the waterfalls from the bridge. [Music] Heat up [Music] here. [Music] Our [Music] next stop is Nakadaka Crater in Mount Ao, one of Japan’s most active volcanoes. The smell of sulfur in the air is so strong, but the view of the crater is unbelievable. [Music] Our last stop is Kusa, a wide grassy plane that looks straight out of a postcard. Here you’ll find horses, small ponds, and a 360° view of the mountains. There’s also a rest stop here filled with restaurants serving Kumamoto beef and ice cream made of milk from local dairy farms. [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] Heat [Music] up here.
