【静岡旅行/宿泊記】沼津リバーサイドホテル|静かに過ごせる川沿いの宿

This time, I stayed at a riverside hotel in Numazu City, Shizuoka Prefecture. It has a calm atmosphere and is attractive for its quiet environment. Recommended for those looking for accommodation in Numazu or Mishima,
or for those who prefer a quiet hotel. Let me introduce Numazu Riverside Hotel. After checking in, I went straight to the room. This time, I stayed in a twin room on the Mt. Fuji side. As the name suggests, you can see Mt. Fuji on a clear day… but it was a little hazy that day. The room is 17 square meters. The beds were a good size, and plenty for two people to stay. I think it’s just the right size if you use it as a base for sightseeing. The bedside is simple but has everything you need.
You can control the lights and alarm from here. There’s also an outlet, so charging my phone wasn’t a problem. The desk is in front of a mirror, convenient for light work or getting ready. The TV was fairly large, and I could even watch YouTube. The bathroom is a unit type, with the toilet, sink, and bath all in one. Preferences may vary, but when I used it, it was clean
and fine for a short stay. Amenities such as shampoo, body soap,
and toothbrushes were provided in the room. In addition, skincare products like lotion were available at the front desk area,
so you could freely take what you needed. A hairdryer was also provided in the room. The airflow was sufficient, and drying my hair wasn’t inconvenient. The refrigerator was empty and free to use. It was convenient for keeping drinks and sweets I bought. Next to the desk, there was also a tea set
with a kettle and cups. It was handy when I wanted to take a short break in the room. The closet had hangers, deodorizing spray,
and disposable slippers. Room wear was placed on the bed and was a one-piece type. It was plenty comfortable for relaxing in the room. So overall, the necessary facilities were provided,
and I didn’t feel any inconvenience. It felt comfortable even for two people staying together. Not only the room, but the atmosphere of the hotel itself is also important. Since I used the lounge before check-in,
let me show you the overall atmosphere including that. When you enter from the first-floor entrance, the first thing you see is flowers. It gave me a sense of hotel-like hospitality. After taking the elevator, you find the front counter and lounge. It had a bright and calm atmosphere, making me feel at ease right away. I used the lounge before check-in. It was a space where you could have tea while looking out at the river,
quiet and great for photos too. It was also convenient for light work or a break. In one corner of the lobby, there was even a display of the anime “Love Live!” It gave a little sense of local flavor unique to Numazu. For this stay, I booked through Jalan: one night, no meals,
for two people at 13,000 yen. Check-in was from 2:00 p.m., and check-out was until 11:00 a.m. If you come by car, parking costs 1,000 yen per night per vehicle,
and you can go in and out by asking at the front desk. Here’s how to access Numazu Riverside Hotel. By car, it’s about 15 minutes from the Numazu IC off the Tomei Expressway. By train, the nearest station is JR Numazu, one stop from JR Mishima Station. It’s a 7-minute walk from JR Numazu Station to the hotel. There’s also a convenience store nearby, handy for quick shopping. Although Mishima sightseeing was my goal,
the hotel rates in Numazu were more reasonable,
so I stayed at Numazu. In the end, access was good, and it was convenient to combine with sightseeing. I’ve shared the details of Mishima sightseeing in the video I uploaded last week,
so please check that out as well. If you found this video helpful, don’t forget to like and subscribe! I hope Yuzu Log can be a helpful guide for your next trip.
