【女ひとり旅】山と川の幸を存分に味わえる🍇疲れを癒す穴場の一軒宿に22時間引きこもってみた【船山温泉|身延山|山梨】
Hello everyone. How are you all? I’m currently on my way to Funayama Onsen in Nanbu Town, Yamanashi Prefecture. As summer fatigue begins to set in, I was looking for a relaxing getaway, and I received an invitation from a hot spring inn that welcomes solo travelers. Access by public transportation is via the Fujikawa Limited Express from Shizuoka Station or Kofu Station to the nearest Uchifuna Station, or by car via the Shin-Tomei Expressway. I transferred to the limited express at Shizuoka Station. Uchifuna Station is unmanned. I purchased and received my ticket for the Fujikawa Limited Express in advance. Apparently, you can see Mt. Fuji from the window, but unfortunately, it was cloudy that day and I couldn’t see it. The inn is about a 10-minute drive away. If you schedule a time in advance, they will arrange a shuttle service. The view of the mountains and river from the window is soothing. The idyllic scenery is soothing. Apparently , watercress grows wild near the parking lot. I’d love to see some fireflies during firefly season . Thank you. I checked in with the sound of bell crickets playing in the background. The inn’s concept is a relaxing, soothing space. To ensure a quiet and relaxing stay, it does not accept groups of more than seven people, children under elementary school age, or drop-ins. With 10 rooms, it’s a hidden inn for adults only. I was given a tour of the inn, and was shown around. The wine cellar was filled with a selection of high-quality wines. Apparently, they even offer wine as a welcome drink. This service is available for an additional fee. Coffee and tea were also available. The tatami flooring throughout the inn was relaxing. I first got to see the hot springs. Cold barley tea and water were available in the rest area. There were also vending machines. Then, I headed to the large public bath. There were various amenities, including skincare products and toothbrushes. There were towels in various sizes, which was very helpful. Dyson hair dryers dry quickly, which is great. The large public bath was spacious and comfortable. There was a reclining bath in the middle, which seemed like a relaxing experience. The spring water is said to be a simple sulfur cold mineral spring. It’s said to be effective against atopic dermatitis, eczema, and insomnia . The open-air bath seems even more comfortable. You can listen to the sound of the river as you bathe. Incidentally, the large public bath is alternately priced for men and women. I tried it after dinner, and it was lit up , creating a wonderful atmosphere. They even had shampoo available for rent. That was nice. I’ll check out the private baths later. Now, let’s head to our room. The room is also tatami-floored. They’ve done a great job. Having a sink right when you enter is helpful. The bathroom is, of course, clean. The lights are automatic. Having a lockbox at the entrance makes it easy to remember your key. This is a spacious, beautiful room. I have this room all to myself today. The beautiful greenery is visible from the window, which is very relaxing. There’s even a massage machine! The air purifier is working well. The beds are Simmons. Apparently, there are other rooms like this. Every room seems calming and relaxing . There’s a TV stored inside the door. Glasses, tea, and a kettle are also provided. I found some in-house wear. There were also tabi socks for after the bath. There was also an accessory box. This was a nice touch, as I tend to lose things easily. If you want something other than tea, there’s a free drink station outside your room. They also had decaffeinated herbal tea, black tea, and coffee. In addition to the samue (work clothes) worn in the hotel, they also had yukatas. Oh, oh, oh, oh. Test, test. Hello everyone. This is Sumi. I’m at Funayama Onsen in Yamanashi Prefecture. I was invited and, um, I’m staying here. So, about Funayama Onsen, I took the Shinkansen from Nagoya Station to Shizuoka, then took the express train from Shizuoka to Uchifuna Station, where I got on a shuttle bus and arrived at Funayama Onsen. There aren’t really any houses around Funayama Onsen, so it really feels like a lone inn in the mountains. I think it’s perfect for those looking for a relaxing getaway. Check-in is at 1:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM, meaning you can stay for 20 hours? (Actually, 22 hours.) This is a wonderful inn. I was shown around the inside and outside of the room , and it was so relaxing. I could hear the sound of crickets and smell what I think was incense. I thought, “Ah, this is truly a one-of-a-kind inn for adults.” I think many people are tired from their daily lives , but by coming far away, deep in the mountains, you can escape the real world and spend some time relaxing in a place like this, which I think is a great way to change your mood. They also had welcome drinks, coffee, tea, and roasted green tea, I think, in front of the lobby below . They also had wine, but it seemed like it was an extra charge. But it looked delicious. It was grape , after all, Yamanashi. There were also magazines below. There were magazines and DVDs, and you were given a plate with your room number on it, which you could exchange for a DVD to watch in your room. By the way, I checked in at 1 PM, but it’s now past 2 PM. I decided to take a leisurely welcome drink downstairs before heading to the bath. I strolled outside for a bit. There were carp in the pond. There was also terrace seating, which was nice to relax on. I enjoyed the fresh air while listening to the sound of the river flowing . I headed to the open-air bath in the large communal bath. This hot spring along the river was understated but wonderful. I came to the private bath called Futari Shizu. There are two private hot springs, but I think one of them isn’t an open-air bath; Futari Shizu is the open-air bath. Gazing at the river flowing in front of me, I thought to myself, “These are maple leaves, I think. They must be incredibly beautiful in the fall.” The green maples are also beautiful . Each private bath also had a toilet attached to the changing room, which I thought was very convenient. The changing room has everything you need, and the amenities are also very comprehensive, including mouthwash and other standard amenities. There’s also water, and cups, so it looks like you can drink it right away. Towels are provided in both the private bath and the large public bath, with small and large towels. Yes. It really feels like everything’s been taken care of. I just went to the large public bath, and it’s about time for dinner, 6 p.m. I’ll relax until 6 p.m. I found a popular camping manga in the book section . It’s set in Yamanashi, isn’t it? I’m getting hungry. It’s finally dinner time. I’ll have dinner in my private room. It’s beautiful with three glass walls. It feels like I’m secluded. First, an aperitif? This is homemade plum wine. Yes. Today’s sashimi is trout, wasabi greens, and Fujinosuke trout. Yes. Please enjoy with salt, soy sauce, lemon juice, and real wasabi. And, uh, here’s the whole thing: smoked wine trout with Shiraae sauce. Maitake mushrooms, okra, and shrimp potato in a thick sauce. And, uh, chawanmushi with nameko mushrooms, hiratake mushrooms, and ginkgo nuts. And, uh, the hot pot is wild boar hot pot. This is wild boar meat grilled on a teppanyaki plate. Wild boar, yes. And then there’s that sweet sparkling wine, Makioka. Thank you. It has a simple , homemade flavor and is very delicious. Perfect as an aperitif. It’s sweet and easy to drink. Is it chawanmushi with mushrooms? Yes. Delicious. A light, simple, comforting flavor. It would go really well with wine. Yeah. This goes well with wine. If you want to drink wine, they also have half bottles of imported wine. They also have Japanese sake and local sake. Everything looks delicious. Yeah. Delicious. The salt is delicious, too. It has a light salmon taste. Very delicious. I think anything tastes better in places with clean water . A truly luxurious moment. I want to cherish moments like this. Did I make the wild boar hotpot? It was my first time eating wild boar. How does it taste? I’m excited. It’s plump. The fat has a rich umami flavor. I had grilled rock trout and sweetfish. Sweetfish is in the back. Apparently the one in the front is rock trout. Yeah. I guess you could say it has a refreshing flavor. Of course it’s not smelly at all. A light, plain taste. Delicious. Yeah. Yeah. Delicious. The saltiness is just right. Hmm? It seems to have a bit of a vibrant flavor, or maybe it’s just my imagination. Maybe with some watercress too. Yeah. I think it would be better to eat it with watercress. The flavor is different. The bitterness is great. Homemade, hand-made soba noodles. They were refreshing and easy to eat. The wild boar meat teppanyaki. I was a little nervous about this one too. The president appeared while I was cooking it. He asked me to try it with salt, so I did. I enjoyed the conversation while eating . The teppanyaki was easier to eat than I expected. I thought it had a stronger flavor than pork. Thank you to the friendly president. Chestnut rice? Yes. Chestnut. They made the chestnut rice into onigiri. The small onigiri next to it was actually my midnight snack. You get hungry after taking a hot spring bath. I think the dessert was apple and pudding. I ate a lot and was full. After that, I took another bath in the hot spring, and when my stomach had settled, I had the onigiri. Thank you for the meal . I took the first hot spring bath of the morning. It was amazing . The large public bath was also all to myself. It was breakfast time. I could see the outside view, which I couldn’t see yesterday. The room was completely glass-walled. There were two pots. This is tofu and miso soup. The grilled fish is overnight dried sweetfish. This is sweetened small sweetfish. Also, there’s a buffet corner with white rice, porridge, bread, and drinks, all of which are available over there, so please feel free to use them. I’m glad they have porridge in addition to rice. I tried the soba porridge. Thank you. The miso soup is filled with lots of vegetables. Morning miso soup is soothing. Everything is gently seasoned and comforting. The ingredients are fresh and you can really feel the freshness. Homemade tofu. This is absolutely delicious. I dipped it in the broth. I ate the sweetened small sweetfish, head and all. The soba porridge was also delicious. For dessert, I had yogurt and pear. Each dish was delicious enough to soothe my tired body. I feel like I’ve become healthier just by staying here. Thank you for the meal. I’ll relax until check-out. I’ll lie down on the sofa and enjoy this view from the window. I just want to lie there forever. The massage machine was also great. Thank you for your hospitality. The owner, knowing I love cats, showed me the cats he had rescued at the inn. Will they run away if I get too close? Yes. They do. I ‘m not sure how close I can get. Just give it a try. It’ll be fine. Their names are King and Queen. King did run away while I was taking pictures. Sorry for the interruption. Thank you for everything. I’ll be dropped off at the station again . After this, I’ll head out for sightseeing. I arrived at Uchifune Station. This is an unmanned station. The station looks like this. It looks like you can take a break on a bench if you have time. I headed to Minobu Station, two stops from Uchifune Station. I thought maybe they’d use it when getting off at Uchifune Station. Like a bus, you take a numbered ticket when you board and pay at the ticket gate when you get off. Minobu Station is manned and there appear to be shops around the station. I also checked the bus times in advance. I headed to Minobu-san Kuonji Temple, about 15 minutes from Minobu Station. While I was looking at the bus schedule on the way back, the bus driver told me about some must-see spots. Turns out he’s an acquaintance of the president of Funayama Onsen. What a coincidence! Oh, the bus driver just told me all about it. I was planning to go to the main hall, then take the ropeway from there to the inner sanctuary at the top, and call it a day, but I realized that Nichiren Shonin’s grave is there , so I had to go there after all. If I have time, I’ll go there . Minobu-san Kuon-ji Temple is the head temple of the Nichiren sect and is said to have been founded by Nichiren Shonin during the Kamakura period. Apparently, getting to the main hall beyond this point is a bit of a challenge. By the way, there are apparently two slopes, one called the “Women’s Slope” and the other called the “Otoko-zaka.” It’s incredible. 287 steps. It looks like this. It’s basically mountain climbing. The angle is insane. Going down might be scarier than going up. Let’s go. Every step is incredible. Let’s take it slow . Sigh. We’re here. We’re here, but I’m a little sweaty. Photography is prohibited inside the hall, so I just prayed. The quiet, solemn atmosphere made me feel like my soul was being cleansed. I headed to the ropeway station. The ropeway runs approximately every 20 minutes. It takes about 7 minutes to reach the summit of Mt. Minobu, 1,153 meters above sea level . The mountain trail takes about 2.5 hours . The ropeway was designed by Eiji Mitooka, famous for his designs for the Shinkansen bullet train. I had a bad feeling about this, but I couldn’t see Mt. Fuji. I decided to visit the inner sanctuary and then head down. There seemed to be delicious looking dumplings and other treats, but I decided to just pray. Surprisingly, I didn’t have time before my return bus. In the end, I didn’t have time to visit the grave of Saint Nichiren. I had a little time before my return express train at Minobu Station, so I wandered around a bit. Apparently, the area around Minobu Station is a sacred place for a certain manga. The view is beautiful. It’s so relaxing. I changed my ticket at Minobu Station, and the station attendant was incredibly kind. It made me realize just how kind people are in Yamanashi. I bought a paper cup of wine at a souvenir shop near the station. I also bought some Minobu manju. The Minobu character is very clean and elegant. Thank you for the meal. The manju is filled with a lightly sweet bean paste filling, and is very delicious. It was my first time in Nanbu Town, Yamanashi, and it was so peaceful. I thought it was the perfect place to escape reality and spend some time away from the city. I completely forgot the name of the express train. I forgot to turn on the microphone, and had my first drink without realizing it. This was take two for the main program. I noticed a sake cup I didn’t recognize… and realized it was a chawanmushi lid. The massager for the second time. Camera retrieval 1. Camera retrieval 2. I’m going to try something a little more serious. Thank you for watching until the end!
