Two days before we visited, Princess Kako came to the garden to attend the National Urban Greening Festival, and there were many visitors despite it being a weekday Friday. Wheelchairs and strollers are available for rental at the entrance gate. (Free rental) The roses are in full bloom in spring (mid-May to early June) and autumn (late October to late November). At Gifu World Rose Garden, you can enjoy seasonal flowering trees other than roses, and you can enjoy various flowers throughout the year. Please enjoy the roses in the Welcome Garden for a while. The West Gate can be seen in the back right. We eat “age gohei mochi” at the Smile Kitchen Car. The gohei mochi is deep-fried, so it was crispy and delicious! Next, we head for the “Flower Tower”. It’s nice to go by the park bus “Poppo”, but we will walk. There are many things to see on the way to the “Flower Tower”. The rose arch is also beautiful! There are many people taking pictures of beautiful flowers! The roses are in full bloom. It’s a spectacular view. The rose arch is amazing! I would like to eat at the sky cafe at the top of the “Flower Tower” 45 meters above the ground. I could n’t decide between the “Rose Raw Chocolate Mont Blanc” and the “Japanese Chestnut Mont Blanc” – the roast beef was soft and delicious! I was undecided, but this time I chose the “Japanese Chestnut Mont Blanc”. It looks delicious! The rich flavor of Japanese chestnuts and the moderate sweetness will soothe your fatigue. I went up to the observation deck. I could see the “West Gate” and the “Rose Terrace and Rose Corridor”. I came down from the “Flower Tower”. The roses are beautiful, but the natural flower garden is also wonderful! A little break! The hydrangeas are starting to bloom! I headed to the “Northern Large Flower Bed”. I headed to the “Northern Large Flower Bed”. There were so many things to see that the amount of photos I took was ridiculous. Finally, I took a look at the “Gallery of Flowers and Life”. At iMaKoYa, I ate “Homemade rose soft serve made with rose flowers”. It was a soft serve ice cream with real rose flowers. It had the scent of rose flowers and was rich and delicious. I like Mika Ninagawa’s use of color and light, so I really wanted to see this exhibition. It is an installation made up of three spaces. Mika Ninagawa’s photos, who has excellent color sense, are very helpful for me as a photographer. Please take a moment to look at Mika Ninagawa’s worldview. It is on permanent display, so please do visit. (As of May 23, 2025) On the way home, I stopped off at the roadside station “Kanitte.” It’s an interesting candy with the words “I will rebel” on it, just like Akechi Mitsuhide! I bought “Karintouman,” a Kani specialty. The crunchy texture of the brown sugar-flavored dough was addictively delicious! As a souvenir, I bought a small watermelon called “Pino Girl,” with edible seeds. It was sweet and delicious ☺

世界最大規模のバラ園 ぎふワールドローズガーデンに行ってきました 。
東京ドーム約17.3個分の広大な敷地に約6千品種・2万株のバラも満開。
訪問日の2日前に佳子様が全国都市緑化祭で来園されたこともあり、多くの人で賑わっていました。
園内のグルメも満喫。
帰りに、道の駅「可児ッテ」にも立ち寄りました。
