【草津温泉】裏草津 蕩 TOU【希少な地蔵源泉の宿】

ALOHA! It’s Sakurai ♪ This time, my destination is Kusatsu Onsen. In this video, I’ll be showing you a room tour and meal introductions at “Urakusatsu Todo” where I stayed, as well as a relaxed look at the area around the hotel. Please watch until the end ♪ After taking the train and bus from Tokyo, I arrived at Kusatsu Onsen Bus Terminal. From here, I walked to the hotel. I walked along Chuo-dori, lined with souvenir shops and cafes , and turned right at the hot spring manju shop “Honke Chichiya Honten.” I then came to Jizo-dori. I continued down the hill and “Urakusatsu Todo” was right in front of me. It’s about a 5-minute walk from the bus terminal . This hotel, which opened in 2022, is based on the concept of “1/f fluctuations,” and is an inn where you can spend a relaxing time. Passing through the noren curtain, a wooden corridor welcomes guests. The approach has an extraordinary atmosphere , with different looks during the day and at night. Passing through the entrance, the flames of the fireplace flicker. This hotel is based on traditional Japanese architectural style and is filled with local craftsmanship such as joining, carving, painting, and weaving, and wood is used extensively throughout the building . When we arrived in the lobby, we were able to take a break with a welcome drink. It was a hot day, so we were happy to see cold iced tea. There were also games such as Jomo Karuta and cards in the lobby. After checking in, we headed to our room. Our room this time was on the 4th floor, one floor above the lobby on the 3rd floor. There are also vending machines and ice machines on this floor, and the hallway has a calm atmosphere. This time, we stayed in a standard room. I booked a Western-style room with a shower room, so let’s take a tour of the room right away. I hold my card key over the sensor on the door to enter. Inside, I open the first door and find the shower room, toilet, and sink. I checked out the shower lol . There are two simple towel racks. Now, let’s take a look at the room . The room is softly lit by indirect lighting and has a calm, natural impression with the warmth of wood. The air conditioner has adjustable temperature settings . There are rows of baskets for hot spring baths. The refrigerator is a type with a clear front . Opening the closet, you’ll find yukatas, haori coats, and other items provided, as well as tabi socks. There is also a safe with a PIN code . All the amenities are kept together in a bag. In addition to a hair dryer, the room also had a hair iron that can be used to straighten and curl hairs . It’s a nice touch! Cups, glasses, and bottled water are set out on the desk. There were Kusatsu rusks as tea snacks. Is this from a shop near Otaki no Yu? They have sencha tea bags and drip coffee . The electric kettle is stylish. The TV is designed to watch YouTube. The soft light of the lamp is lovely. There is also a sofa corner where you can enjoy the view from the window. The humidifier is also stylish. The sofa is firm and sturdy. I wonder what remote control this is for? Maybe it’s a humidifier? I’m not sure lol. On the raised area lit by indirect lighting, there are rows of beds. The mattresses are just the right firmness. The pajamas are separate. There is a light switch next to the pillow. There is an outlet and a USB port. The rounded wooden side desk is cute ♪ The room has a relaxing atmosphere with a gentle color scheme. After unpacking, I went to the hot spring on the first floor. The reason I chose this hotel this time was because the hot spring is from the Jizo source. The water quality is an “acidic, sulfur-containing, aluminum sulfate, chloride spring” with a slightly cloudy white sulfur smell. Of the main hot springs in Kusatsu Onsen, it has the smallest flow rate and is rare. In the summer Since it was around that time, the hot spring was quite hot, but my body warmed up immediately after entering. Dinner was a creative kaiseki course meal at the restaurant “Touri” on the second floor. They have a variety of alcoholic drinks such as local sake, Kusatsu hot spring sour, and wine , but I ordered their original drink “Blue Lemon Soda.” It is a beautiful blue soda with dried lemon. The menu features ingredients from Gunma Prefecture. This time I booked the regular Autumn/Winter plan. I started right away. The duck mixed with persimmon puree was served with watercress from Gunma Prefecture . The eggplant Nanbanzuke was topped with my favorite dried mullet roe. The Ginhikari rice from Gunma Prefecture was served with a sauce of mascarpone and salt koji. The next dish was a matsutake mushroom tartine topped with a sudachi and mitsuba sauce . The autumn aroma of the matsutake mushroom and the crunchy texture of the burnt crust were a delightful dish . The marinated yellowtail had a refreshing taste with the aroma of yuzu and the saltiness of the salmon roe. It would also go well with wine. The main dish of your choice was charcoal-grilled Joshu Jidori chicken from Gunma Prefecture. The fragrant aroma of the charcoal grill was appetizing. The vibrant green color was achieved by the arugula and pistachio sauce . The subtle bitterness of the arugula and the rich flavor of the pistachios were an exquisite match. The rice was koshihikari rice and 15-grain rice from Tone-Numata, Gunma Prefecture, and was served with Gunma’s local dish, “koshine soup.” The 15-grain rice, which allows you to enjoy its texture, was a delight. The sweet potato degrinésonne was accompanied by a passion fruit sauce, so it was never boring to eat. We had tea after the meal. It was a wonderful dinner, where local ingredients were presented in delicate dishes that were also visually appealing. After the meal, we put on yukata and headed out for a stroll around the area. The inside of the haori was made of intricately patterned fabric. The Ura-Kusatsu area was lit up , creating a calming atmosphere. We continued walking and headed towards the Yubatake. This place is also lit up, and feels more impressive than during the day , and even in summer, the steam rising creates a fantastical atmosphere. We pass through the wooden corridor and return to the hotel. Even though it is made of wood, it has a somewhat sci-fi atmosphere. There is also a small wooden terrace outside the window. When I wake up in the morning after a deep sleep, I have tea in a stylish cup. Since there was time before breakfast, I soaked in the hot spring and then went to the rooftop terrace. I wonder if lanterns can be used at night? The green mountains spread out against the clear blue sky. You can see the ski resort. After enjoying the morning air and view, we headed to breakfast. All the seats are spacious. At breakfast, we help ourselves to drinks. We tried Kitakaruizawa milk. Breakfast was a Kusatsu box lunch. It was a colorful lineup of small dishes of seasonal flavors, grilled dishes, rice, and more , including ganmono (fish cakes). The small bowl of simmered food had a gentle broth flavor and was very delicious. After breakfast, I went out to the outdoor terrace. I could spend some quiet time in an area away from the hustle and bustle. Autumn is just around the corner. If you go down the stairs from this terrace, you will arrive at Jizo Square . There is a Jizodo Hall. Hello, it’s nice to be here ! There is a small Jizo statue in front of the source. Beautiful colored hot spring water is gushing out. This is the Jizo source . In the back is the Hyakunen Goku Villa, where you can experience making a Hyakunen Goku. This is a rare face bath. It is said that bathing in the steam from Kusatsu hot springs can have a moisturizing effect on the skin , which can beautify the skin . This public bath, “Jizo no Yu,” also has a private hot spring facility, “Dento Yu Jizo.” If you climb the wooden stairs from the square, you can get a panoramic view of the hotel. At the top of the stairs, you will find the “Tsuki no Kao” cafe with a terrace and a calm atmosphere, There is a “Manga Hall” with 10,000 manga books. I returned to Jizo Square and tried soaking my feet in the foot bath. The sound of the wind chimes was cool and tasteful. There is also a hand bath here . It is truly a luxurious place where you can enjoy high-quality hot springs for your face, hands, and feet 24 hours a day .♪ It was a wonderful hotel where you can spend a relaxing time in the quiet and calm atmosphere of Ura Kusatsu. In the next video, we will be bringing you a lot of content, including sightseeing in Kusatsu Onsen and gourmet food ! Thank you as always for your likes and channel subscriptions .♪ It really encourages us! See you in the next video.♪ MAHALO!
