ぶらり旅 第527回「京都府:石清水八幡宮」-アクセス,駐車場,ケーブルカー,国宝,初詣-(2022.12) Kyoto,Iwashimizu Hachimangu,Japan
ふらっと出かけた場所を紹介しようと思います。
2022年12月に京都府八幡市にある「石清水八幡宮」に行きました。
・石清水八幡宮
平安時代の初め、八幡信仰の総本宮である宇佐神宮から勧請された神社。
古代に成立した荘厳な社殿形式を保持しつつ、近世的な装飾を兼備した完成度の高い神社建築として、高い価値を有していることが、評価され国宝へと指定されました。
現在の社殿は徳川三代将軍家光の造替によるもので、日本三大八幡宮の一社であり、伊勢神宮と共に二所宗廟。
現存する八幡造の本殿の中で最古かつ最大規模です。
厄除け祈願でも知られ、年間を通して多くの参拝者でにぎわいます。
・石清水八幡宮参道ケーブル
ケーブル八幡宮口駅からケーブル八幡宮山上駅までを、約3分で結ぶケーブルカーで、昭和30年（1955年）に開通した。
車窓からは、京阪本線の赤い橋が架かる木津川と宇治川のほか、桂川や京都競馬場など、京都洛南の景観が広がる。
山上には国宝の石清水八幡宮本社があり、初詣などで賑わいを見せる。
例年11月にはモミジなど、紅葉の景観も楽しめる。
運行時間：8時～18時15分まで、毎時15分間隔で運行
料金：大人片道300円、小児片道150円(往復は2倍料金)
I’d like to introduce a place I just happened to visit.
In December 2022, I visited Iwashimizu Hachimangu Shrine in Yawata City, Kyoto Prefecture.
・Iwashimizu Hachimangu Shrine
This shrine was enshrined at the beginning of the Heian period from Usa Jingu, the head shrine of Hachiman worship.
It was designated a National Treasure in recognition of its high value as a highly refined shrine building that combines the majestic shrine building style of ancient times with modern decoration.
The current shrine building was rebuilt by the third Tokugawa Shogun, Iemitsu, and is one of Japan’s three major Hachimangu shrines, and, along with Ise Grand Shrine, is one of the two main shrines.
It is the oldest and largest remaining main hall in the Hachiman style.
It is also known for prayers for warding off evil spirits, and is crowded with worshippers throughout the year.
Iwashimizu Hachimangu Shrine Approach Cable Car
This cable car, which connects Cable Hachimanguguchi Station to Cable Hachimangu Yamagami Station in approximately three minutes, opened in 1955.
From the train window, you can enjoy the panoramic views of Kyoto’s southern countryside, including the Kizu River and Uji River, crossed by the red Keihan Main Line bridge, as well as the Katsura River and Kyoto Racecourse.
The main shrine of Iwashimizu Hachimangu Shrine, a National Treasure, is located at the top of the mountain, and is bustling with visitors during the New Year’s visit.
In November, you can also enjoy the beautiful autumn foliage, including maples.
Operating Hours: 8:00 AM – 6:15 PM, every 15 minutes.
Fare: 300 yen one way for adults, 150 yen one way for children (double fare for round trips).
