国境の緊張:中国とネパールの経験 🇨🇳🇳🇵

This is the most dangerous water attempt
that we’ve ever done. Right. Yeah. As you can see, the road still isn’t
great. So, I’m not too sure how long we’ll be now and how close it’s about
to hit this truck. To be honest, guys, I did not expect this from the Chinese side.
This is intense. You can see him running. I feel like we’re like fleeing a country. So, now we’re crossing the bridge.
Chinese border was intense, guys. toilet in Nepal. So much cleaner than China. So easy. You guys earn dollars. Like
just talking about personal life. I swear he said to Woody twice.
I don’t know. Dmac China. I said they’ve charged us all foreigner prices. So
I love that. A mini scam. delay or namaste or goodday and good morning guys from the Tibet
Nepal border. Today we are crossing the border from China into Nepal. So come along with us
today. Will we have any issues? Will we you know I’m not going to say anything else. So come
with us today. Let’s have fun. Let’s drive all the way to Catmand do and join us today on our border
crossing from China to Nepal. Let’s go. Okay. So, we are currently waiting for this road work to
stop so we can go through. We’ve already waited here for at least 20 minutes, I think. So, by
the way, I don’t think we’ll be able to film much at the border. Probably not. You can’t really
film at any borders in the world, but if we can, we’ll film, but most likely we can’t. Uh, so
hopefully we have no problems. Most of the video today will be our journey from the border all
the way to Catmandu where we’ll finally be in our apartment again after a month of full-time travel.
I’m so excited. So yeah. Oh wow. This is a nice little river right here. But as you can see, we’re
still held up in the construction. They don’t know when we’re going to go through. They haven’t even
given us a time frame. They haven’t even said 10 minutes. They haven’t even said 4 hours. No one
knows. This lady here has no idea. And this is the beautiful river going in. You can already see it’s
already so polluted and it hasn’t even entered Nepal yet. So that’s interesting. And then that
river I believe goes through to India as well. There’s a few cars already backed up. Uh we’ve got
a jeep there and then another truck. So hopefully we can get moving soon. Let’s see. Okay, so we
are finally moving after like I think it felt like 1 hour. Uh they finally let us through which
was good. But even the cars behind us weren’t allowed to go through. I think just because
there was a taxi in front of us and the meter was going. I don’t know. But yeah, we finally got
to go. So hopefully we get to the border soon. Okay, so we’re still on and off on the uh on the
road works. You can see that they’ve pushed all the water up into here and the river is just going
crazy so they can build this concrete uh block to uh then be able for people to drive through with
the [ __ ] road. So yeah, super interesting. Hopefully we can get back on the road soon and get
to the border fast because these guys have to go back to Lassa today which is like a 15-hour drive.
Okay, so we finally reached the border but there’s a big line of Nepali trucks carrying Chinese goods
into Nepal. So, import and export. As you can see, the road still isn’t great. So, I’m not too sure
how long we’ll be now, but we were meant to cross the border at around 10:00 China time, and it’s
already like 12 China time. No, that’s that’s Nepal. So, yeah, we’re a little bit late. Okay, so
right now they’re trying to get this bus through here. And you can see if we zoom up on it, how
close it’s about to hit this truck. And uh yeah, you can see that they’re moving stuff out of the
way. Okay, so we’re now sort of at the front. But as you guys can see, we’ve got a line of trucks
and then all the way there towards the right is the actual border. So I think we might have to
walk with all of our heavy and many bags cuz we bought so many things from China. Okay, guys. So
we’re decided we’re going to walk. We’ve got all of our bags. Yeah. Come with us. This will be
fun. This will be fun. All of this stuff. Okay, so we’re now moving, carrying all the stuff. Oh
gosh, look at this. To be honest, guys, I did not expect this from the Chinese side, but uh they’re
building. China’s building. They’re trying to make this a lot better. This is intense. I don’t know
how any of these trucks are going to turn around, by the way. Okay, let me show you something that
Sophia and I have been using to find crazy cheap flights. It’s called Ray Punk Flight Deals. So,
here’s the dashboard here. You can sort between lowest price or biggest savings, and you’ll also
get weekly email alerts on top flight deals as well as lastminute flight deals. This app has been
an absolute gamecher for the way we travel. One thing I really like about the app is in here, it’s
super smart and gives you an AI deal analysis. So, here it’s showing me the pros and cons and even
the flags hidden in the baggage costs. It even tells me how many layovers I have and what I
need to watch out for. So just here you can see the regular price is $600, but on this deal
we’ve saved $329 with our final price being only $271 for a flight from Sydney to China Shanghai.
How amazing is that? And the best part about this app is you’re going to see the best deals
whether you’re on a tablet, phone, or computer. It doesn’t matter what device you’re on, you’re
always going to see the best deals from companies, unlike some other companies that show you
different prices based on what devices you’re using. So, if you use our link in the description,
you’ll get up to 70% off for your first year. So, you’ll only pay $23.99. Once you subscribe, you
can download the app and start finding the best flight deals right away. Honestly, the app pretty
much pays for itself on its first flight that you book. So, I’ll leave a link in the description
and you can check out what flight deals you can find for your next holiday or travel experience.
Now, back to the video. I was expecting to show you guys today a massive big road all nice all
the way up to the border and then on the Nepal side the chaos. But on the Chinese side, there
is chaos. So, all the trucks have started moving and then our driver ran back to the car to move
the car because it’s all the way down there. You can see him running. This is the most uh dangerous
border attempt that we’ve ever done, right? Yeah, that’s true. Okay, so now we’re getting back into
the car because all the cars are moving. Oh my gosh. Okay, so we decided we’re going to park
the car here. Oh, now the taxi just stole that. Anyway, yeah, we’re going to park and walk
across because this is just taking too long. I feel like we’re like fleeing a country.
This is intense. Okay, so we’re now going up to the border. You see all the Nepali
trucks waiting to cross with all imports. We can now hear the Nepali language and not
Tibetan language anymore. Wow, look at the Tibetan Chinese gate. I wonder what the Nepal
gate looks like. Let’s see. Okay, guys. Now we’re crossing the bridge. We’re changing time zones
going back in time 2 hours. And as you can see, the gate on Nepal is a small metal gate. Okay,
so uh Chinese border was intense, guys. Nepal was like so friendly. Nepal was so easy. Chinese was
intense. They spent like 10 minutes on each of our passports and as if we had something wrong with
them, which we didn’t. But it’s all good. It’s for security. It’s for safety. It’s It’s very good,
but just a little bit annoying. Um as you can see, this is the border here. And now we just got
to get stamped into Nepal. But we’ve already got our bags checked and immigration was
all good and they checked all of our bags thoroughly by hand. So yeah, not too bad. Yeah,
this is Nepal’s border, guys. Wow. Investment. No, it actually up here looks pretty good.
It looks like that they’re building something uh up further. So that might be
nice in a few years time. Let’s see. Okay, so we’re now at the immigration
office. Let’s get stamped in. Guys, the Nepal immigration weren’t the politest people.
They were saying like stuff like, “Oh yeah, like living in Legend Park because you’re with
your money husband, you earn dollars.” Dita Buddy, he said twice, which means I have two wives
or something. I don’t know, guys. Not good. Not professional, not I don’t know. I could be
wrong. Yeah, I’m I’m pretty used to it. Yeah, we’re used to stuff like that. But anyway, thanks.
Thanks guys if you’re watching this because we feel so welcomed. So guys, we uh just went to the
toilet in Nepal. So much cleaner than China. China there’d be poo everywhere. So good job Nepal. Good
job. So guys, let me just talk about this border experience. So there’s the office behind me. So
one of the agents said to Sophia in Nepali, “Oh, so why don’t you live in Australia?” And she
said, “We’ve lived in Nepal for three years. we love living here because you know for so many
reasons it’s you know for our work and all these things I don’t want to get into that and he
said oh so wherever the queen wants to live that’s where you’ll live meaning cuz Sophia wants
to live in Nepal which isn’t true we both want to live in Nepal just being really arrogant and like
rude we’ve always faced this discrimination guys in the Nepal border like one time um Sophia was
coming to Bhutan and then they said oh are you traveling by yourself she said no with my husband
and she said oh isn’t Isn’t it amazing? Husbands can just pay for travel these days. Like you
can travel all around and just not care. Like just stupid stuff like that. It’s just like
easy. You earn dollars. So easy. You guys earn dollars. Like just talking about personal
life, guys. It’s not that’s not professional. I think like what happens is like they are just
showing who they are, not like who we are. Yeah. Yeah. You judge something that’s related to
you. You want to say in Napolei what he said? That means like wherever I decide like you’ll just
follow me. Yeah. So yeah, it was just a bit weird guys. Anyway, no worries. Okay guys, so we are now
in the car and we’re about to go off to Catmand do. But yeah, I don’t know. Just the border agents
love to pick at our personal life and just say, you know, remarks like that. It’s okay. But I
Yeah. Yeah. foreigners having two wives and stuff. Yeah. He said he I swear he said dab buddy twice.
He said dita buddy and then I heard da Buddha. I don’t know. I don’t know even. Well, that means
you have two husbands. Yeah. I don’t know. Anyway, guys. Yeah. Still a really good experience,
but I just think that the border agents just need to be a bit more professional. But I mean
it was fine. I think it’s pretty common. It’s common like in Nepal nowadays like people are
more educated and that right but even in on on our Tik Tok on Sophie’s Tik Tok we get silly
comments like that comments on our YouTube we get comments like that so but you know what God
says he says like bless those who persecute you that’s right so we bless you yeah so if anyone
who’s watching our video also thinks the same thing about us then don’t watch no don’t watch
yeah no watch actually watch. You can watch, you can comment. All of that is good because we
get so much engagement and it boosts the video. So, thank you so much for commenting negative
stuff about our relationship. Another thing, guys, that the border agent did, he was looking
through my passport and he didn’t need to like the the main guy was doing it, but this other
guy, he was the other guy was the one saying all this stuff. It wasn’t the main guy. The other
guy was like, “Oh, yeah, Australian passport, but no kangaroo.” And then Sophia’s like, “Just
look on the front page. It’s literally there and I just feel like they have so much ego. I don’t
know. It’s okay. Every majority of people in Nepal are beautiful. They’re very nice people. Very
beautiful. But some people they just I don’t know. Demac China. So Sophia just said if you don’t see
the bat things the nature is so beautiful. And I was thinking the exact same thing. Everything
Nepal just just warms my heart. It really does. I love my country. Of course guys, there’s
positive and negative things in every country, you know, and don’t take what we were complaining
about before as ultra negative. There’s positive and negative things everywhere. And we we we talk
about the positives and negatives, but this this is so beautiful. Look at this beautiful country
of Nepal. The beautiful people. Namaste. So, we just remembered something before. What did the
police say to you when we were driving through? Where are you guys from? And then he said
America. And you said Australia. And I said, “No, no.” So, yeah, no, you’re not Nepal.
I said, “Yes, I am. I am.” And I started speaking in Nepali. And then, yeah, like it
was funny. No, like what did you say in Nepali? I said like that. And what did he say? He was so
shocked. He was so surprised. Okay. And let us go. Okay. So, we just had a quick stop on this
bridge. Beautiful little uh I don’t know if that’s a waterfall or a water leaking. And yeah,
the river looks really good. Beautiful mountain, beautiful wife. Yeah. So, we’ve got about 5 hours
until we reach Capandu and we’ll stop off for lunch as well. So, yeah, should be a good day.
I can’t wait to eat Nepali food again in Nepal. Okay, so we just stopped off at the border town of
Shanu Bessie. This is the first town since we left the border. Okay, so we just stopped for lunch
in this little town. Another little seemed like a border town. They checked us at the checkpoint
again and we’re going to have some local food. Excited. Okay, so what are you going to order? As
always, guys, chicken takali. Chicken takali. I’m going to have chicken fried rice because I think
we’re going to have takali tonight for dinner. So, might get fried rice. Okay, so I just got
my milk coffee with a bit of froth. Let’s give this a taste. Pretty good. Pretty good.
Tastes like Napolei coffee. My favorite. Okay, so we’ve got our food here. Fried rice. I
just took one of Ben’s momos. Thank you, Ben. Sophia has her rice and yeah, let’s give this
a taste. Taste some fried rice. Pretty good. How’s your tali? Really nice. Just taste of fried
buff momo. I think this is the first time I’ve ever had fried buff momo. I’ve had fried chicken
momo, but not buff. Oh yeah. So good. So guys, this is super interesting. They’ve charged
us all foreigner prices and Sophia gets 100 rupees discount for her Dalbot. But these are
all foreigner prices and the Nepali price is like 30% cheaper than this. So I love that.
A mini scam. Like guys, you might think, oh, like a foreigner price is okay. Like what if
you came to Australia and I sold an apple to Australian for $1, but then I sold you the apple
for $4. How would you feel? You’d feel cheated, right? And then like you live here. Yeah, I live
here. I have a permanent visa. So, I don’t know. I feel like we’re complaining too much today, so I’m
not going to keep on complaining. But when a plate of momos cost 450 rupees, a plate of momos, guys,
450 rupees for a foreigner. I don’t know. It’s small momos. You saw it on the This is how big
the momos are. Anyway, no worries. It’s okay. So, yeah, this is the name of the place. Leave them
alone online, guys. You don’t have to call them or anything. But yeah, not good. I might leave
a bad review. Okay, so that was our last stop where they checked our personal bags. Everything
was all good, right? Yeah. She just said to you, “Where have you come from?” And you said,
“Everest.” Yeah. She said, “Uh, your bag looks like it has nothing.” And I said, “Yeah.”
She said, “You can go.” So that was pretty good. Heat. Heat.

We crossed into Nepal expecting a warm welcome… but instead, we faced one of the rudest border police encounters we’ve ever had. From the very first moment, the experience left us shocked and uncomfortable. In this video, we share exactly what happened at the China–Nepal border, how the officers treated us, and what it felt like to be made to feel unwelcome in a country we were so excited to visit. This isn’t about hating on Nepal – we love this country and its people – but we want to be honest about the reality of traveling here, including the bad moments that tourists don’t usually talk about. Watch until the end, because what happened might just change the way you think about border crossings in South Asia.

  3. It seems your video is recorded much before, as the bridge you walk into Nepal is not available now, as its being broken in flood on July 8, 2025

  4. the river is not polluted😶😶😶😶 those are mineral deposits, thats the difference between rivers that have clear water, have zero minerals, and these rivers that carry top soil of multiple regions in them and carry important minerals over thousands of KMs.
