香港旅①香港エクスプレスで行く✈便利なホリデイインゴールデンマイルに泊まって、ミシュラン獲得ワンタン麺、点心食べる。マークス&スペンサーも行ったよ。

It’s night at Haneda Airport. I’m heading to Hong Kong on the Hong Kong Express. The flight departs at 1:00 AM, so I’m sleepy. They offer in-flight meals, but they’re not included . It’s a bit cheaper if you order in advance, so I only ordered water. Hong Kong Express has a strict no-brands policy on bringing in food and drinks. My seat didn’t recline—maybe, but it wasn’t quite at a right angle. I slept, and before I knew it, I was at Hong Kong International Airport. It’s early in the morning, so there aren’t many people around. Hong Kong also has Disneyland . Nothing gets done without money, so I withdraw cash. My English is poor, but I’m still sleepy, so I think I’ll be able to get some cash.
I get a notification from my credit card company, so if I repay it immediately, it will be cheaper. I’m traveling to the city center by bus . The trains aren’t running yet, so I take the bus to Tsim Sha Tsui. I’m still sleepy, so I sleep on the bus. The bus seats are comfortable. I arrived in Tsim Sha Tsui . I’m staying at the Holiday Inn Golden Mile for three nights and four nights. I checked my luggage, and they said they’ll email me when my room is ready . I went to a porridge restaurant. I love the kanji for congee. The menu looks different from the menu, but they have century egg congee (HKD31) and vegetable congee (HKD35).It’s filled with lettuce and corn, and also contains salty pork, which you eat with fried bread. It’s quite filling. The front of the Holiday Inn Golden Mile looks like this.Water
is falling from the air conditioner’s outdoor unit.Wow, it’s the Peninsula Hotel. The view from here must be beautiful.I’ll take a stroll to the Star Ferry terminal at Victoria Harbour to cross to Hong Kong Island. The ferry costs HKD… yen. It was hot, but more comfortable than Tokyo. Maximum temperature 29°C, minimum 27°C. At this point, I got a call from my credit card company about a suspected fraudulent transaction, so I couldn’t even enjoy the scenery. My card was blocked and I couldn’t even use it to board the ferry. It turned out to be just a suspicion, so I was able to use it right away. Apparently, paying for a hotel stay at a Holiday Inn with my card was similar to fraudulent use. When traveling abroad, the first thing you should do is pay for small things with your card. I got on a small bus. I was supposed to be heading to the Peak Tram station, but I was actually going in the opposite direction. I didn’t understand what they were saying in Cantonese . I had to get off, so I got off at the University of Hong Kong. Then I transferred to the MTR. I arrived at Central Station and walked to the Peak Tram platform. Hong Kong Island, where the famous double-decker buses and trams come and go, is mostly uphill. It looks gentle, but it’s actually a slope . I followed everyone and arrived at the Peak Tram platform. There wasn’t much of a line, so it looked like I’d be able to get on quickly. The one-way fare was HKD76 (1,520 yen). It’s a Disney collaboration, so I got on. My neck hurts, but the panoramic roof is amazing. We pass each other, and the view is starting to come into view – but that’s just the beginning. There are always souvenir shops when you arrive, and the open design is like a shopping center. I drank Mickey Mouse’s hand Arabica coffee!
The view from here seems to be better than the one I had in Bangkok. There were a few clouds, but the weather was nice and the view was great. The Peak Tower, which has a paid entrance , has a beautiful night view, but it’s likely to be crowded. Apparently, if the weather’s bad, you can’t see anything. The sky and the sea are the same color here! I took a bus to Central and found the Marks & Spencer I wanted to go to. It’s a British supermarket, but they only sell Marks & Spencer brands. I got something I was interested in. I came across a rare demolition site of the famous bamboo scaffolding. It looked a bit dangerous , with the bamboo taking priority over pedestrians. I walked up a slope and ate shrimp wonton noodles. Shrimp wonton (HKD50) 1,000 yen and shrimp and pork wonton noodles (HKD54) 1,080 yen . The noodles were like rubber bands (lol). I had to eat them without slurping them, but I guess I wasn’t slurping them. The noodles were long, but had a firm texture and were delicious. The wontons had plump and chewy shrimp. I came to buy egg tarts. They seem to sell out sometimes, but I was able to buy the two things I wanted. Arrived at the photogenic spot. Everyone is taking great photos. We went down to the most popular photo spot and received an email from the hotel saying our room was ready. We took the MTR back to Tsim Sha Tsui. Our room was on the second floor, on the lower level. This is what it looked like when we entered. I was happy the room was spacious. I had requested a twin bed but that was not possible . It looked like there was plenty of space for luggage. The view from the second floor is spacious enough to do yoga on TV, which I never saw. The Wi-Fi was a little unreliable at night but was still okay. My suitcase was here. There were cups, glasses, spoons, tea and coffee. The fridge was empty. Did someone leave something behind? There was a paper bag and a bag provided. Only the shower , but the water pressure was good. It seems that most toilets in Hong Kong don’t have washlets. There was a space to put various things in front of the mirror. There was an umbrella, an ironing board, a safe, and slippers. The slippers were replenished every day. Now I’d like to try the egg tarts. I bought egg tarts with cookie dough and puff pastry, but the filling is the same, so they taste the same. They’re not too sweet, and both are delicious, but
I prefer the puff pastry. I’m going to a restaurant surrounded by bamboo for dinner . Tim Ho Wan has one Michelin star, and they have them in Japan too. Shrimp dumplings HKD 44 (880 yen) Pineapple bun with roasted pork HKD 35 (700 yen) Crispy melon bread with roasted pork filling. A very good combination of sweet and salty shrimp and pork shumai. The shrimp is plump, but the shrimp has a paste-like texture. Steamed rice sheets made with rice flour I went home after browsing the drugstore and supermarket. Here are some things I bought: cheese stick pie, pistachio chocolate, and Italian pasta, which is probably cheaper than in Japan. I ate some balsamic vinegar and yogurt in a sauce-like sauce, and went to bed.
