Meshitabi Season 5This time, we’re featuring 8 restaurants in the Chitose area.Let ‘s get started right away ! 1. Sakaemachi Soup Curry “Garaku” Yes, I went to Garaku.It ‘s just a 7-8 minute walk from JR Chitose Station ! The lines at the Sapporo main store are so long I don’t feel like waiting… so I can’t eat there anymore.So I thought Chitose would be a lower hurdle, right?But … it was full at lunchtime! Soup curry is definitely the best… but fried broccoli is delicious after all♬ No doubt about it‼ The delicious tsurami soup is made over two days with pork bones, chicken, and plenty of aromatic vegetables ♬ Tsurami soup? It’s delicious with its unique blend of 21 spices and a hint of sweetness ♬ But isn’t there a little rice? I only ordered a small portion‼ Soup curry has a lot of ingredients, so it’s filling, right? Hokuei “Tonkatsu Aoki” Founded in 2010, this hugely popular restaurant in Kamata, Tokyo, quickly made its name known nationwide since its founding. It’s a famous tonkatsu restaurant known only to those in the know♬ That’s right… Was it about 10 years ago? I heard rumors of a delicious tonkatsu restaurant in Tokyo , so I hopped on a plane and went to try Aoki’s tonkatsu. I remember being blown away by its SPF pork at the time ♬ Now that it’s open in Sapporo too, the bar has been lowered considerably, which is great, isn’t it? So, this is my first time at the Chitose restaurant‼ It’s been a really long time since I’ve had something other than katsu curry ♬ Aoki-san‼ I’ve had katsu curry in Sapporo, Susukino, and Kamata, but… you really go out to eat it a lot~ I’m impressed‼ Don’t praise me like that~ I’m embarrassed… I’m not complimenting you‼ 。 。 English: I’m not praising it… it’s one of the few restaurants in modern times that serves lard-fried pork cutlets! Ah, you like fried lard, don’t you? Yes, the pork cutlet is as thick as ever ! The rice is cooked beautifully , too! You can tell just by looking at it that it’s delicious rice at a glance ! Japanese rice is amazing ! The pork soup with a gentle ginger flavor is also great! The cabbage is fluffy and plentiful! The sauce is also good, with a refreshing citrus flavor … huh? What about the cutlet itself? Well… knowing the real Aoki , I was a little surprised, actually… I think it was just a coincidence, but it was like, ” It’s a little different from usual, Aoki…” Oh, the Hokkaido store doesn’t use Hayashi SPF pork, it’s Hokkaido SPF pork, so I wonder if that’s the reason? That was a close call! 3 Higashioka “Higashi Chitose BBQ” This popular restaurant is located in a scenic rural landscape, surrounded by fields of famous barbecue corn! There’s no public transportation here ! The only thing you’ll see is a farm tractor ! The menu is super simple: barbecue, stir-fried vegetables, rice, and drinks, but it attracts fans from all over the country ! Drinks are served free from the refrigerator ! The bill is also self-reported, isn’t it? I love this laid-back vibe♪ It feels like a throwback to the times, and it’s great! The barbecue here is all about chicken! The portions are generous, and the seasoning is simple—just salt and pepper—but it was a hit (lol). The last time I went, it was during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, when everyone was wearing masks and sanitizing their hands (lol). The lady brought the chicken with her bare hands, slammed it on the grill, and grilled it. It was wild! It’s true! This is chicken grilled to your liking over charcoal. It’s delicious! It’s so creative! That’s right! The lady’s salt and pepper spray is exquisite! It’s impossible to imitate! The spiral spray is created with an original dispenser made from a modified energy drink bottle ! My chewing technique is divine! It’s delicious! But… this is a smoky, sweaty, masochistic barbecue, so please be careful! Do n’t dress up! The floor is sticky enough to tear off the thongs of your flip-flops, so be careful! I ruined one! Flip-flops are a no-no in the middle of summer! No, definitely not in the middle of summer! A midsummer barbecue in Higashi-Chitose is as hot as a desert, so be careful! 4. Takadai Menya “Ura” If you’re looking for ramen in Chitose, this is the place! ♬ I wonder if there will be 20 people waiting in line when they open at 11:00 ? That’s amazing! That’s a lot! You’re an adult now, Konstantin! This restaurant is the only one outside of Sapporo to be ranked in Tabelog’s Hokkaido Top 10, and it serves amazing ramen! It doesn’t have the typical Hokkaido feel, but… it’s definitely a high-quality , urban-style ramen! It’s a restaurant with a long line, but you can feel the love and soul in every bowl of ramen ! This ramen has that kind of care and attention to detail! I totally get it! It’s hard to pour love and soul into every bowl at a restaurant that serves hundreds of bowls of ramen a day … I’ve seen so many delicious restaurants get too busy and the taste deteriorates … It’s sad, isn’t it? Yes. This is a restaurant that I feel is committed to not letting that happen ♬ Nda5 New ♨ York Mamanchi Chitose no Yu “En” The bath is just 2 minutes away from Chitose Interchange ♨ It’s about a 10-minute drive from Salmon Park Roadside Station, right? En-san, this is the only place Chitose knows, right ? There’s one inside the airport, but it’s too expensive for us. 2,600 yen for one bath is a bit much, is n’t it ? There are two types of saunas with TVs. There was supposed to be a stadium sauna and a small, quiet, aroma-filled, meditation-style sauna, but it was out of order at the moment 💦 The men’s bath… Wow The women’s bath has both high and low temperatures! The cold bath is 120cm deep and feels great ♨ The standing shower is conveniently located right next to the sauna door !! You can cool down properly ♨ Right ? A deep cold bath is great~ And what’s great ♬ Adirondack chairs have been installed here too!! It’s so comfortable!! What?! There are no Adirondack chairs in the women’s bath…I think there were two in the open-air bath and four in the indoor bath? Those old-fashioned garden chairs? Oh my, Mr. Kawaicho!! President!! We’d like to have an Adirondack in the women’s bath as well <(_ _)> But one of the five chairs in the men’s bath has already been destroyed 💦 What? It has a nice balance of a crispy outside and a chewy inside , like French bread . That’s right! For Green, who likes everything very hard, this pizza is perfect!
