【ザ・スプラジール 横浜】横浜駅すぐそばの好アクセスが嬉しい横浜に泊まるなら絶対オススメのホテル【横浜/ホテル紹介/ホテル宿泊記】

Thanks for watching. This is Yusuke’s Travel! This time, we’re starting outside the ticket gates at Yokohama Station! Watch this video all the way through to discover the charm of The Splaisir Yokohama and how to get the best deals on your stay. Feel free to enjoy it to the end even while you work. We’ll head up this escalator at the West Exit. This channel introduces hotels with great value for money and slightly more luxurious options. If you enjoy domestic travel and hotel stays, please subscribe! By the way, the closest route is from the North West Exit. If heading from the West Exit, pass through NEWoMan Yokohama and keep going straight towards Tsuruyacho. We’ve reached the North Exit. Keep heading toward Tsuruyacho. Take this escalator down… If you’re coming from the West Exit, you’ll probably merge here. If you continue straight ahead here… THE YOKOHAMA FRONT, where our hotel is located, is coming into view. The hotel we’re staying at this time is ‘The Splaisir Yokohama’, located on floors 4 to 12 here. Please take the escalator up to the 4th floor. I’m looking forward to seeing what kind of hotel ‘The Splaisir Yokohama’, operated by Sotetsu Hotels, is like. Inside, a door mat bearing THE YOKOHAMA FRONT’s logo. This is the hotel entrance. It feels like the gateway to something extraordinary. The interior is also a very stylish space. Time to check in right away. Check-in was done at the automated check-in kiosk. The accommodation fee was paid at the time of check-in. Incidentally, cash payments are not accepted. Only cashless payments are accepted.
Check here for payment methods. I heard bank transfers are also acceptable if arranged in advance. Please keep this in mind when staying. We received a certain accommodation perk from the staff. Details to follow later. The elevator lobby on the lobby floor. Even here, it’s stylish. Up to the 8th floor where our room is located. You can’t press the buttons without swiping your card key, so security is top-notch. The elevator lobby on the 8th floor, which is the guest room level. Let’s head to the room assigned to you. This time, I was assigned Room 821. A Deluxe King room. The highest grade in the Double/King room category…! Let’s head inside right away for a room tour! We’ve entered the room. It’s hard to see the whole picture from here… Here’s the location of this room and the evacuation route. The door has DD cards and various other items attached to it. In case of fire or other emergencies, wear a head cover to avoid inhaling smoke. Better safe than sorry, but… hey, aren’t you smiling a bit too much? This is a trash bag. It states that suitcase disposal incurs a fee. Right when you enter the room, there’s the light switch. The room layout looks like this. Ah, right, there really is just a wall from the entrance… So, let’s head straight to the bedroom. This is the Deluxe King, a 40.6-square-meter bedroom. One entire wall features tall windows, offering an open feel and stunning views. Now, the view… The view stretches south from the hotel. The top of the Yokohama Landmark Tower was peeking out. Below, the ‘Hama Rail Walk’ we walked along to reach the hotel. And the Kin-ko Junction, where the Kanagawa No. 1 and No. 2 Expressways merge. And the platform at Yokohama Station. We could also see the Yokohama Bay Sheraton, operated by the same Sotetsu Hotels. Also, the sign for Sanbon Coffee, which originated in Yokohama. By the way, the windows don’t open, but they’re double-paned, so the soundproofing is solid. This is the view looking towards the entrance from the back of the bedroom. Check out the relaxation space right inside the bedroom entrance. A little stool sits by the window too. The air conditioner is a Daikin individual unit. By the sofa, there are also two power outlets and USB Type-A and Type-C charging ports. Here’s what we received at check-in. And some bread too. Here’s the card key. Simple design, isn’t it? This is the breakfast voucher. Looking forward to seeing what it’s like. I also bought some bread at CITY BAKERY on the lobby floor. Originating in America, THE CITY BAKERY is beloved by New Yorkers. It’s also popular in Japan. Compared to other locations, the shop inside this hotel is relatively less crowded, so I recommend it. The bed is a 180cm king size. I slept very comfortably. Bedside, on the left side facing the bed. The lighting switch labels are easy to read, a thoughtful touch. Two power outlets and USB charging ports: Type-A and Type-C. On the nightstand: the in-room phone and charging cable. The charging cable was a multi-connector type. The night light is also here. The right side as well. This side is also mostly the same as the left side. Two types of pillows, two of each. Above the headboard was indirect lighting. The usual bed check. Sheets, bed pad, and so on… The mattress was a Thomas-Symonds Beautyrest. The nightwear placed on the bed. It was a separate set. Returning to the entrance of the room, here is the open closet located just inside the door. Disinfectant and deodorizing spray. Hangers neatly arranged. Beautiful, isn’t it? At the foot of the closet, you can see a luggage rack and a chest placed there. Laundry service price list and laundry bag. Disposable slippers. They feel a bit flimsy. Shoe horn, shoe polisher. This chest. Inside the drawers: the top and middle drawers are empty, and the bottom drawer has a safety deposit box. Let’s head back to the bedroom and take a look around the TV area. The TV remote. Looks like a Toshiba TV. Turning on the TV displays the hotel menu. It also shows the Wi-Fi connection information. The Wi-Fi speed is fairly fast, with download speeds at 69 Mbps and upload speeds at 118 Mbps. Floor guides and breakfast information are also available here. A list of available rental items is also provided. Information about the hotel’s services. I’ll introduce the ones I can later on! Information about the hotel’s restaurants. I can’t stop thinking about the sushi… You can also check the crowd levels and availability at the breakfast venue and coin laundry. It’s compatible with smart TVs, so you can watch YouTube and other content perfectly. Let’s take a look at this chest of drawers at the back of the bedroom. Sotetsu Hotels uses a special purified water system called ‘SOUbiSUI’ throughout the entire hotel. This chest also features a power outlet and USB charging ports. Writing utensils. This also served as an accessory tray. Tissue box. This was a folding stand mirror. Opening the top drawer revealed glasses and coffee cups inside. Let’s check inside this one too. Sanbon Coffee’s drip coffee. I’ve been curious about it, so I’m glad I can try it here. Tea Earth’s Darjeeling tea and green tea teabags. Inside this door was… a refrigerator. Since the fridge was empty, I put in the items I received at check-in. This cider is a member benefit exclusive to each Sotetsu Hotels Club hotel! Becoming a Sotetsu Hotels member grants you complimentary early check-in, late check-out, coupons, and hotel-specific perks, so we recommend booking through the official site! This drawer contained… something. It’s a Zojirushi electric kettle. Finally, let’s take a look at the plumbing fixtures here. First up is the bathroom. This room has a double sink, which is nice. Above the sink is a simple, round mirror. Let’s take a look around the sink area. Each sink also has a power outlet nearby. Between the sinks… Kao’s Fiesta Face & Hand Soap. Three cups. A towel rack by each sink too. Let’s take a look under the sink too. Nothing is placed on the right side, right? Amenities and a hair dryer are provided on the top shelf on the left side. The hair dryer is by Salonnia. Here are the amenities. I’m thrilled to see the Sekkisei MYV skincare set! Body towels too. Two sets each of bath towels and face towels. Inside this door on the right as you enter the washroom… …was the restroom. Surprisingly, the lid opens and closes automatically…! The washlet is a TOTO Neorest, isn’t it? The Washlet remote and the paper holder. Two-roll type. Next, inside the door on the left as you enter the washroom. There was also a notice. Opening the door revealed, as expected, the bathroom. It has a wash area. The bathtub is spacious and looks comfortable. The wash area too. The bath amenities were Kao’s Lavie. It’s a thoughtful touch that the bath chair and bucket are provided from the start. Let me show you another room. This is the standard double room. It looks like it has a shower booth. Superior Double. This one appears to have a bathtub. Standard Twin. Unlike the Double, this one has a bathtub. Superior Twin. With its spacious layout, it seems well-suited for friends traveling together or family trips. Deluxe Corner Twin. This room type, including the layout, is the twin option for this stay. Universal Double rooms are also available, so they’re suitable for wheelchair users and others. By the way, Splaisir Yokohama also offers serviced apartment-style rooms. They come fully equipped with a kitchen, washing machine, microwave, rice cooker, dishes, and cutlery. Residential Corner Double. By the way, all service apartment-style rooms feature bathtubs. Residential Twin. Is this the residential version of the Superior Twin? Residential Comfort Twin. Personally, I might prefer the previous one. Residential Deluxe Twin. It’s a bit of a strange layout, isn’t it… Residential Premier Twin. It has a suite-like layout. That concludes the room tour. I was wondering what to eat for lunch, looked it up, and found Sushiro inside the facility, so I came here. I checked in right away and waited for my call. It was packed, but I made it just in time…! Soon after, we were called and seated at a table. Rotating sushi bars don’t really rotate anymore, do they? The sushi has arrived! I usually eat this kind of sushi…! We also ordered hamburgers. They were delicious—thank you for the meal! Now we’ll introduce the hotel facilities. First up is the hotel entrance. It really sets the stage for the special experience beyond this point, doesn’t it? Upon entering the lobby, a spacious library area unfolds. With plenty of seating, many guests were relaxing here before or after check-in. Inside the hotel… Here is the hotel lobby. Its defining feature is the wall-to-wall library that continues from the previous space. THE CITY BAKERY is also located here. Dining is permitted within the lobby space. As mentioned at the beginning, the reception area. Staff are present during check-in hours, but check-in is primarily self-service using the check-in machines. If you’re unsure about the process, the staff will kindly guide you. The check-in itself went fairly smoothly. The 4th-floor elevator lobby. Looks like there’s all sorts of stuff back there! This is the fitness gym. Operating hours are from 5:00 AM to midnight. Security is top-notch, requiring a card key to enter. This is the fitness gym. It’s more spacious than I expected! A water dispenser – always a welcome addition in a gym. Towels are provided. Three Precor treadmills. Two Precor cross trainers. Precor upright bikes and recumbent bikes. Adidas balance ball and Tanita body composition monitor. Precor cable machine. Precor adjustable bench. Precor dumbbell set. It was mostly Precor. The restroom is located right in front of the gym. We also have multi-purpose restrooms and nursing rooms. A self-service cloakroom is also available on the 4th floor. It can be used by guests only on the day of check-in or check-out. Transportation IC cards serve as the key. You can also check your carry-on luggage. There seems to be something beyond the reception area. This area was designated as a smoking room. It’s not very spacious, but it’s convenient that it’s located within the facility. Suishige Dining, the hotel restaurant that also serves as the breakfast venue. We’ll be having breakfast here again today. Menus were also placed near the entrance. It seems to be a Karuizawa-born establishment serving sake and Japanese cuisine. Also, I heard there’s a sushi restaurant called ‘Sushi Shige’ inside the building. It’s only open for lunch and dinner, but it seems like a nice place to relax and enjoy some sushi. Now, let’s introduce the facilities on the guest room floors. First, we’ve arrived on the 7th floor. Here, you’ll find the laundry room. Three washing machines were lined up. Washing and drying costs 500 yen per cycle. They appear to be located on the 7th, 9th, and 11th floors. We’ve arrived on the 6th floor. This floor seems to have vending machines. Stepping inside, I found some welcome amenities besides the vending machines. An ice machine. Free to use. A microwave oven is also available. The vending machine lineup looks like this. It’s Ito En’s lineup. It accepts electronic money and has a thoughtful design so even kids can reach the top shelf items. The 8th floor, which is also where we’re staying this time. By the way, there was also a trouser press available in the elevator lobby. Feel free to take it out, but please return it after use. There’s also a vending machine corner on the 8th floor. Finding one on your guest floor makes you feel lucky! The lineup looks like this. Same Ito En products as the 6th floor. Is this the same pattern everywhere…!? To find out, we headed to the next floor… We’ve arrived on the 10th floor. How about this vending machine corner? This one… no! It’s lined with alcohol and cola. There are also cans of snacks. This one only accepts cash. And now to the 12th floor. What’s it like here? Like the 6th and 8th floors, it was the Ito En lineup. The only difference was on the 10th floor. While not part of the hotel, THE YOKOHAMA FRONT complex also houses various facilities. First, the 1st floor. Here you’ll find Sushiro, ramen shops, Italian restaurants, and more. The second floor features popular spots like ‘Hana Yori, Hamburg’ and ‘Hana Yori, Cafe.’ It’s pretty impressive they even have a dentist here. The third floor features a licensed nursery school, acupuncture clinics, and various medical facilities all in one place. Since it’s also part of the apartment building, having all these amenities within the building is truly a delight. On the 4th floor, where the hotel is located, there was a hair salon and a teppanyaki restaurant right in front of the entrance. Dinner time arrived, so we headed to ‘Konaya’ inside the Joinus building at the West Exit. An udon restaurant born in Sugamo, Tokyo. You can enjoy various dishes made with different types of udon noodles. I was rushing around and missed taking photos of the dishes, but I got to enjoy some incredibly delicious curry udon! The basement of Joinus has many shops, so it can be hard to find, but if you’re interested, definitely check it out! Good morning! The morning has arrived! Breakfast at Suishige Dining on the hotel’s 4th floor, which I mentioned earlier! You can choose between Suju’s rice set or City Bakery’s bread set. Handed the breakfast voucher to the staff at the restaurant entrance for check-in. Seating was open. We chose this seat. Let’s order our main dish and go check out the buffet counter. This is the buffet counter. Let’s take a look in order. Here are the cutlery items. Carrot and eggplant simmered in soy sauce, Shimonita konjac simmered in soy sauce, simmered hijiki with tofu. Kombu tsukudani, crispy pickled plums. Nameko mushrooms, bonito flakes, pickled nozawana greens. Simmered dried tofu, tofu topped with soy-marinated beans. Spinach ohitashi, simmered dried daikon radish. Yogurt. Homemade jams: pineapple, strawberry, blueberry. Corn flakes, bran flakes, fruit & nut granola. Raw eggs. Natto. Ice and glass. Grapefruit, tomato, mandarin orange, and Shinshu apple juice. Iced coffee, iced Earl Grey, milk, oat milk. Water, iced hojicha. Hot coffee. Hot water. Various Quench-a black tea bags. I went with the rice course! For the main dish, you choose one from these options. Fluffy white rice. Miso soup too. Mini salad. The main dish was grilled fish marinated in miso. Food and drinks brought from the buffet counter. Vinegar-marinated eggs with soy sauce were also on the table. While we were eating, the blinds were raised. What beautiful weather! After finishing your meal, flip over this card you received at check-in and exit. I was curious about the other side dishes too, so I wonder what I’ll get next time I come back…! They were also selling soy sauce and dressings at the restaurant entrance. Thank you for the meal! It’s bittersweet, but it’s time to check out. How did you like The Splaisir Yokohama? Located in popular tourist destination Yokohama with excellent access from Yokohama Station, this highly recommended hotel is easy for anyone to use—whether you’re traveling solo, as a couple, or with family. Yokohama Station offers easy access not only to Minato Mirai and Yamashita Park, but also to Tokyo, Haneda Airport, Narita Airport, and Hakone. This makes it an ideal base for travel. Now, for the rates you’ve been wondering about…! Booking through the official website for a Saturday stay, it was ¥40,272 for two people, one night with breakfast included. That’s ¥20,136 per person. Even for a Saturday near the end of the year, this price is pretty good value. Thank you for watching until the end! I hope this video helps you choose a hotel or gives you a sense of what it’s like to stay there. See you in the next video! This has been Yusuke’s Travel! I hope this helps you in choosing your hotel. Subscribing, giving a thumbs up, turning on notifications, and sharing with friends and family would be a huge encouragement! I’ll continue introducing hotels with great value, hot spring inns, and slightly more luxurious hotels around ¥30,000 per person per night including one meal… Please look forward to the next episode! ☻ Yusuke’s Travel
