白雲岳（はくうんだけ）は、北海道の上川郡上川町と上川郡美瑛町の2町にまたがる標高2,230.1mの山です。山頂には三等三角点「大石狩岳」が設置されています。北海道百名山の一つです。
石狩山地を構成する表大雪の大雪火山群の一峰で、標高は旭岳、北鎮岳に次いで北海道で3番目に高いです。東側には白雲岳避難小屋が存在し、大雪山系やトムラウシ山への縦走の拠点になっています。山頂部は窪地状になっており、春には雪解け水によって「幻の湖」が形成されます。
山頂からは旭岳裏側のゼブラ模様が広がり、息をのむほど雄大で美しい景色が眺望できます。
Mount Hakuundake is a 2,230.1m-high mountain that straddles the two towns of Kamikawa and Biei in Hokkaido’s Kamikawa District. A third-order triangulation point, “Oishikari-dake,” is located at the summit. It is one of Hokkaido’s 100 famous mountains.
It is one of the peaks in the Daisetsu volcanic group that makes up the Omote-Daisetsu mountain range, and its elevation is the third highest in Hokkaido after Mount Asahidake and Mount Hokuchindake. The Mount Hakuundake refuge hut is located on the east side, making it a base for traverses to the Daisetsu mountain range and Mount Tomuraushi. The summit is a depression, and in spring, melting snow forms a “phantom lake.”
From the summit, you can enjoy a breathtakingly beautiful view of the zebra-patterned backside of Mount Asahidake.
