アンコールワットの向こうには何がある?秘密のジャングル遺跡!

Everyone knows Angkor Wat, but what if I told
you the real magic is hidden in the temples beyond it? Today we are riding through the jungle
to discover Cambodia’s most breathtaking ruins. From giant smiling faces to temples swallowed by
trees. Stick around because the last temple might just be the most peaceful place in the entire
park. On our second day exploring Angkor Wat, we rented a motorbike for just $15 and set
off on our own adventure. From Seam Reap, it takes just 20 minutes by motorbike to reach
your first stop. Riding around is easy. Roads are clear and you have the freedom to explore
at your own pace. Remember, you’ll need a temple pass. A one-day ticket is $37 and the 3-day pass
is $62. Available online or at the entrance. Our first stop is Bayon Temple. Famous for
its 200 smiley faces carved into stone. Built in the 12th century, it was
the stated temple of King German II. Walking through Bayon feels surreal with
giant faces watching you from every direction. It’s one of the most iconic spots in the anchor
complex and you can easily spend 1 hour exploring the towers and buzzer leaves that tells ancient
stories of daily lives and battles. I’m going to show you guys a pretty cool wall. It seems right
here though. Look at all the characters here. all over here. Tons of looks like it’s servants. People
coming to pray to the god, the goddesses. Unbelievable. Some of the detail and just
how much there is. How many people had done this? And for how long? I mean,
this is like a a limestone, Louise. Looks like right there you have some
sort of animal attacking somebody. Some more detailed garbage. Look at the
big face up there. That is awesome. It’s kind of hard because it’s
so bright and sunny today. Pay temple has it guardians. Not just the stone
faces, but also monkeys. But the signs say be aware. But luckily for us, they were too busy
monkeying around. [Music] Next along the road to Top Prom is the Elephant Terrace. The long
platform was once the king’s stage where he watched processes, parades, and royal ceremonies.
The detailed carvings of the elephant stretches across the walls make it one of the most
unique structures in anchor thong. [Music] It doesn’t take too long to explore,
but it’s a perfect stop on the way. Further down the road, you’ll reach Ta
Phron, known as the Tom Rider Temple. [Music] Here, massive tree roots wrap
around ancient stone walls, creating one of the most photogenic
scenes in all of anchor. [Music] Got to hide that thing and the
roots of that tree are unbelievable. [Music] [Music] Built in the late 12th century
as a monastery and university, Top Prom has been left as a partly ruined state. You can see the nature reclaiming history. It’s
atmospheric, mysterious, and a must-see. [Music] Wow, look at this roots. Literally got to have stands to hold the roots up of
this thing. That’s unbelievable. [Music] some old roots. [Music] [Music] Yet another massive tree with the roots
that just go such an insane scene. The roots of these trees that are basically
grown around this huge old temple. I mean, it’s just I’ve never seen roots or trees like this
before in my life. I’m not even sure what they’re called, but they’re absolutely incredible. If you
can see there, you see that massive tree goes all the way down. I have a huge appreciation for um
Cambodia and the temples and all the work and stuff they’ve done here. The history here is just
remarkable. And I mean, look at this place for instance. It’s just standing all alone. It’s got
moss or mold, not moss, moss growing against it. how much the Cambodians have created in the form
of temples and all the designs and characters and scriptures and just the historical value
that exists here is just so surreal and so overwhelming that you you tend to take it
for granted after you do your first second maybe even third temple like ah you know seen one
temple seen them all that’s not the case at all not the case at all. When you really start to kind
of look into the details if you really watch the video all the way through, you’ll see be really
interesting to hear what you guys think. And uh what’s here is just unremar it’s remarkable
and uh we’re very blessed to be able to travel and see these places and Cambodia has definitely
exceeded our expectations. The temples are surreal and we’ve been very blessed. Love to hear in
the comments if anybody has any input. Any Cambodian temple scholars, any Cambodian
locals or people that have questions, let us know because we’ll do the
research and we’ll find out for you. [Music] Not far from Top Prom, you’ll find
Bonte Kandai, known as the Citadel of Chambers. [Music] This Buddhist monastery was built in
late 12th century under King Jarvan IIth. Unlike Anchor Wat or Bayion, Bonte Gai is quieter
and less restored, giving it a peaceful almost hidden feel. Crazy is you see these in all
these stones there’s carvatures every single one of these handone very to intricate detail to I
mean it’s incredible it just goes on and Come on. Four. [Music] I mean, it’s kind of a lot of the same small, intricate little room. Every little area
has its own little design of artwork. Come over here. You see these women carved out of here back then. I can imagine. Here’s a headless guy.
Another headless person. I don’t know what’s up with the headless thing. If you know in the
comments drop some information on us. Are they just headless because they fell off? Um I don’t
know. Boom me in. Just a dumb tourist. Definitely ancient. There’s no doubt about that. This place
incredibly old. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Like those bats. Pretty sure those are bats right up in there. I
don’t know if you could see that in the camera, but Huh. You may never know, my friends. You
never know. With its long corridors and collapsed galleries, it feels like you’re stepping back
into the forgotten history without the crowds. These are just a few of the must-sea temples
beyond Anchorwat. Each one has its own story, architecture, and magic. Exploring on your own
gives you the freedom to experience them at your own pace without the rush of a tour. Don’t
miss our Ankorwad vlog for even more tips on visiting Cambodia most famous temple. Thanks

  1. I remember watching a documentary on this place. The history there wild how the people kind of just vanished. Interesting and fascinating vlog!

  2. Wow, this was super helpful! I always thought Angkor Wat was the main highlight, but seeing Bayon Temple with those 200 smiling faces and Ta Prohm with the jungle roots blew my mind 🌿. Thanks for showing the Elephant Terrace and Banteay Kdei too, I’m definitely renting a motorbike when I visit Siem Reap 🇰🇭. Can’t wait to explore these hidden temples!

  3. One of my favorite places. If you're still there and haven't seen Banteay Samre, it's worth it. Not so far from the main complexes, but it's like a mini Angkor Wat without the billions of tourists (or at least it was 10 years ago…lol). Great post!

  4. Wow! I was searching for a video like this but could not find any that was worth watching. This one is perfect 😊😊 Keep the amazing content❤❤

  5. Those headless statues or missing parts are due to looting way back during wars. People stole them and sold to dealers in Thailand. Look it up the looting of Khmer artifacts. Stolen Khmer arts are on display in museums all around the world. There’s this big dealer whom found guilty and died before convicted named Douglas Latchford and his gf. They published a book of Khmer arts called The Adoration and Glory of The Golden Age of Khmer Art. With the help of this book Cambodian governments been working on getting back these stolen artifacts for over ten years now. There are plenty of documentary regarding stolen Khmer artifacts. So interesting to watch. Anyways, I’m glad you guys enjoyed visiting our temples and learning about our history. Thank you for visiting. Hope you have a wonderful rest of your time in Cambodia!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼
