山形葡萄酒節初體驗!上山溫泉微醺之旅🍷|Cecil之旅
Everyone has finished drinking. My last drink was Ringo juice apple juice. My last drink was a really sour red wine. I’m not a fan. My last drink was a super sweet red wine, not bad at all. Everyone has their own unique style. Good day, mate! I’m Cecil. Welcome to the Cecil’s Channel. Today, I’m here in Yamagata with my friends. We’re going to participate in a special wine festival. So, let’s check it out together. Come along with me!
This time, my friends and I flew directly to Niigata from Taiwan with Tigerair. After renting a car in Niigata, we drove for about two hours. We arrived at Kaminoyama City in Yamagata Prefecture. This is to attend the annual Yamagata Wine Bar Festival at the hot springs. This is a spring wine festival blending local wine, delicious food, and hot springs. Wineries from Yamagata Prefecture and beyond will set up stalls around Kaminoyama Castle. There will also be a yukata experience available, along with a variety of Japanese food snacks. Enjoy sipping wine while experiencing the charm of the hot spring town. I pre-purchased an early bird ticket online. It will save you five hundred bucks. Then, you’ll receive a QR Code. So now, I’m heading to exchange it for the physical ticket. I got the ticket! This voucher lets you exchange it for ten glasses of red wine. But I think ten glasses of red wine might be too much for me. I’m not really sure how well I can handle my alcohol. I don’t know if I can drink that much. The first three thousand participants get it. (Complimentary wine glasses from the event) Absolutely! So cute! This time, the strongest member of our team is definitely Leon. Out of my ten drinks, I could probably share six with you. I hope to achieve my goal for today. I’ve been intentionally cutting back on drinking. And after about a month of cutting back on drinking, my tolerance has dropped significantly. So you want to bring it back today. But I don’t intend to build it back up. Wow, that’s Kaminoyama Castle ahead. There were so many people here from the start! It’s so lively! I first found out about this event from a Facebook ad. Then I happened to ask my friend Liwen, the one who runs a restaurant in Hualien. She said she also knows about the event and wants to go, too. So we decided to go together. This was proposed about two years ago. And finally, it’s happening this year. I’m really happy. Now, Greg and I are going to get some oysters. They look delicious. Steamed oysters. This oyster is really huge. So big, so big! It’s really big! For the first drink, I chose a white wine to go with the oysters. So delicious! Wow, it looks so juicy! How much for these three? Two of them are seven hundred yen. That’s not too expensive, right? Eating oysters. It’s just a little over a hundred bucks. This one is really huge! Delicious! The flavor is incredibly fresh. Should I mention the texture? It’s just really tasty oysters. How about the wine? I’ll go with this white wine. It’s a refreshing sparkling white wine. I think it pairs perfectly with oysters. The entire event takes place in the mountain town. It’s divided into five different venues. So right now, we’re at the fourth venue. And there are many food stalls here. The drinks here, when we buy tickets, we will receive ten drink vouchers. Most of the drinks will require you to exchange one voucher for a cup, or sometimes two vouchers. There’s also a system where you can use over ten vouchers to get a bottle. At first, we thought one ticket would get us one drink. We were worried that if someone had to drink ten, they might not finish. However, with this format, we should be able to use the tickets up quickly. The third venue is up ahead, and there’s food available there too. It’s like eating with the drinks all mixed together. For my second drink, I switched to a rosé. Rosé. I think the wines here are quite refreshing. It honestly feels a lot like drinking juice. Cheers! Liwen probably got lost in the alcohol. The grapes from Yamagata thrive due to favorable climate and variety. They are particularly suited for winemaking. Many of the wines here embrace a natural style. No filtering or modification is applied. Although the color may be a bit cloudy. But the flavors are more distinctive. There’s a quality that feels more connected to the land. Alright, I’ve already had two glasses of wine. My face is starting to turn red. It’s just my body that flushes easily when I drink. We’re now heading towards the outskirts of Kaminoyama City. The distant mountains are stunning. And actually, even further out, There’s still snow that hasn’t melted on the peaks. Croquettes. The Yamagata beef from Yonezawa is quite famous. So I bought some croquettes made with ground Yonezawa beef from here. These juicy croquettes are really tasty. I bought a skewer of steak. Looks delicious! Yamagata Beef. The beef is actually quite tender. Even though it looks a bit charred. But it has a tender texture when you eat it. Delicious! The fries that Liwen bought. (On the way up the mountain town) This is the first venue. I think each venue here has its own charm. There are so many people here. And there are various types of food as well. It’s like a huge night market. Plus, there are many kinds of alcohol available. I really feel happy here. But it’s just that over here… There are plenty of grassy areas to sit on. But remember to bring a picnic blanket. I think it’s really great. I just took a little nap on the grass. Now I’m hungry again. So I came over to join the line. I want to have a sausage. It looks delicious too. I’d like a glass of wine to go with it. I bought this bone-in sausage. I think I really enjoy eating this. It will burst with juice. So good! (Grilled beef) The grilled beef is delicious. It’s tasty! We had a round of drinks like this. We’re almost at the end. Yeah Happy Leon has used up all his coupons So I gave him some of mine I’ve had six glasses today I’ve still got four glasses left to go We can continue the party back at the onsen hotel later. Has everyone finished their drinks? My last drink was apple juice. I didn’t like my last drink; it was a really sour red wine. My last drink was a super sweet red wine, which was quite nice! Everyone has their own style. Here, we have chairs made from recycled wine boxes. It’s quite unique. After enjoying a good meal and drinks, we set off on our way home amidst a scenery reminiscent of a Japanese animated town. We embarked on our journey back. How are you?
(Leon wanted to shoot a short video because the scenery is so beautiful.) Such a fluffy dandelion You look pretty awkward blowing it Is it really that hard to blow? One more time, one more time Find a fluffier one
How are you? Alright, this is my event recap for this time. I truly believe that attending the Yamagata Wine Bar event was an unforgettable experience. In the hot springs of Yamagata during spring, you can sip local wines from wineries, while enjoying the local delicacies of Yamagata. I think everything is absolutely amazing. Especially the number of participants at this event, it’s much more than I had imagined. It’s really quite lively. So watching a group of Japanese people drinking and chatting, is really very entertaining. Some people even come dressed in yukata. This event has actually been around for quite a while. There have been quite a number of editions. So in May, if you happen to be in the Tohoku region, I think it’s definitely worth your time. Come join this event! You’ll definitely create unforgettable memories. Alright, that’s it for today’s video. If you enjoyed it, please give me a thumbs up and leave a comment. Feel free to subscribe to my channel as well. See you next time, goodbye!
