2025年8月酷暑ツーリング (前編) 陣馬街道〜身延山〜羽衣白糸の滝【Kawasaki MEGURO K3】
Thank you for watching. A short summer vacation in the heat of summer, 2 days and 1 night, from Jinba Kaido to Mt. Minobu. This is the first of two parts. We drove along the Jinba Kaido in Hachioji City and collected spring water along the way. The Jinba Kaido is a road that runs from Oiwake-cho in Hachioji City to the Fujino area of Midori Ward, Sagamihara City, Kanagawa Prefecture. During the Edo period, it flourished as an important trade route with a guard post station located there. The spring is located off the Jinba Kaido road. Ongata Spring Water, 2364 Kami-Ongata-cho, Hachioji City. I’ll fill my water bottle with it to stay hydrated today. Return to Jinba Kaido and head from Hachioji City to Midori Ward, Sagamihara City, Kanagawa Prefecture. Jinba Kaido – Mount Fuji Viewpoint Sanogawa, Midori Ward, Sagamihara City, Kanagawa Prefecture Mount Fuji was covered in clouds and was faintly visible. Sawai Tunnel Yamanashi Prefectural Route/Kanagawa Prefectural Route 522 Ihara-Fujino Line Obuchi, Midori Ward, Sagamihara City, Kanagawa Prefecture One-lane two-way traffic with a lot of traffic, so I took a photo It feels like checking that there is no traffic on the other side and then driving straight ahead. When it was my turn to run, I felt nervous. Pedestrians can also pass through Nichiren Bridge National Route 20 Nichiren, Midori Ward, Sagamihara City, Kanagawa Prefecture Saruhashi Bridge Saruhashi-cho, Otsuki City, Yamanashi Prefecture One of Japan’s Three Unusual Bridges (Kai’s Saruhashi Bridge), the others being Iwakuni’s Kintai Bridge and Kiso’s Span. The bridge has a unique structure in which it is supported by four layers of beams that extend from both banks without using piers. The valley is also dynamically filled with rocks and boulders. Today was extremely hot at times, with the highest temperature in Shizuoka City reaching 41.4 degrees, the highest temperature on record. Fujisanroku Electric Railway Fujikyuko Line Tsuru City Station Arakurayama Sengen Park, 2-4-1 Asama, Fujiyoshida City, Yamanashi Prefecture. This calendar features beautiful photos of Mt. Fuji. There were many tourists from overseas, making it very international. Welcome to Japan The parking attendant told me where to take photos of Mt. Fuji, so I headed there. As expected from a local guide, the view of Mt. Fuji is spectacular. It’s scorching hot today, but I’m heading to Yoshida’s famous udon restaurant for lunch. Yoshida Udon Kurayoshi 5080-9 Funatsu, Fujikawaguchiko-machi, Minamitsuru-gun, Yamanashi Prefecture Chewy and chewy large serving chilled tanuki udon 640 yen cheap Motosu Road, National Route 300, from Fujiyoshida City to Minobu Town A perfect place to take photos of Mt. Fuji and Lake Motosu. The top of Mt. Fuji was covered in clouds. I was driving through the heat of the summer heat and found peace at Kuonji Temple on Mount Minobu. Nichiren sect head temple, Mount Minobu Kuonji Temple, 3567 Minobu, Minobu-cho, Nakakoma-gun, Yamanashi Prefecture The shrine has a dignified atmosphere, and although it was hot, I was able to worship calmly. The MEGURO K3 looked small against the imposing main gate. There was a free rest area at Kuonji Temple on Mount Minobu where I was able to drink cold tea, which I was very grateful for. From Minobu Town, take National Route 52 to Yamanashi Prefectural Route 37, Minami Alps Park Line Heading for Hagoromo Shiraito Falls via Akazawajuku, an important preservation district for groups of traditional buildings Akazawajuku, a village in Hayakawa Town, Minamikoma District, Yamanashi Prefecture Mount Minobu is 1,153m above sea level, and Mount Shichimen is 1,982m above sea level. It is a post town at the summit of Keishin-in Temple. Hagoromo Shiraito Falls Akazawa, Hayakawa-cho, Minamikoma-gun, Yamanashi Prefecture There are a lot of negative ions, so it’s cool and comfortable. I’m glad I was able to feel refreshed at the end of the day. Here’s a 3-minute video of a cool waterfall. I feel refreshed. From here to my lodging for the night, it’s 73km across the prefecture and I’m heading to Shimizu Ward, Shizuoka Prefecture. Yamanashi Prefectural Route/Shizuoka Prefectural Route 10 Fujikawa Minobu Line Near JR Tokai Minobu Station Shizuoka Prefectural Route 398 Kamiinako-Nagatsuki Line Near Nagatsuki, Fujinomiya City, Shizuoka Prefecture Tomihara Bridge Shizuoka Yamanashi Prefectural Route 10 Bridge over the Fuji River connecting Fuji City and Fujinomiya City Shizuoka Yamanashi Prefectural Route 10 Fujikawa Minobu Line Fuji City Miyashita area I could see the Tokaido Shinkansen Fuji River Bridge, but the Shinkansen was not passing through. It was a very easy road to travel National Route 1 Fuji-Yui Bypass I found my accommodation Kur and Hotel Suruga Health Land, Okitsu-cho, Shimizu-ku, Shizuoka Prefecture The room we stayed in had a great ocean view. Thank you for watching the first part. Continued in the second part.

That tunnel would make me nervous, too! I enjoyed the video, and hope you were able to enjoy the tour, in spite of the hot temperatures.
