野田みこしパレード
雨蛙や黒獅子・金獅子みこしが勢揃い！市内中央商店街を宮みこしや変わったみこし10数基が参加する野田みこしパレード。フィナーレで行われるみこし同士のすれ違いは、一斗缶を叩くガンガラと拍子木のリズム、担ぎ手と来場者との熱気で大いに盛り上がりを見せる。運が良ければ、二本棒のみこしをさして、地面すれすれまで揉む場面が見られるかも。この時ばかりは来場者も固唾をのんで静まりかえり、担ぎ手の動きに完全に目を奪われる。一見の価値あり。
俗に「だらだら祭り」と称される野田のお祭り。
Noda Mikoshi Parade
A parade featuring a frog, black lion, and golden lion mikoshi! Over a dozen shrine mikoshi and other unusual mikoshi parades take part in the Noda Mikoshi Parade through the city’s central shopping district. The finale, in which the mikoshi pass each other, is a thrilling spectacle, fueled by the rhythm of the banging of 18-liter cans and clappers, and the enthusiasm of the carriers and spectators. If you’re lucky, you might even see the two-pole mikoshi being thrust forward and jostled until they’re just above the ground. At this particular moment, spectators are held breath and fall silent, completely captivated by the movements of the carriers. Definitely worth a visit.
This Noda festival is commonly known as the “Lazy Festival.”
