西尾市の東幡豆町には、珍しいトンボロ現象が見られる、トンボロ干潟があります。干潮時には、トンボロ干潟の先端にある無人島の前島（まえじま）へ歩いて渡ることができます。潮の満ち引きで現れるため、タイミングによっては見ることができない可能性がありますが、大自然の神秘を体験することができます。三河湾ののどかな風景と、桜や新緑、紅葉時期によって表情を変える前島、干潟とそこに棲む生物がバラエティ豊かに織りなすトンボロ干潟をぜひ体験してください。

Higashihazu Town in Nishio City is home to the Tombolo tidal flats, where you can see the rare Tombolo phenomenon. At low tide, you can walk across to Maejima, an uninhabited island at the tip of the Tombolo tidal flats. Because it appears due to the ebb and flow of the tides, you may not be able to see it depending on the timing, but you can experience the mysteries of nature. Please experience the Tombolo tidal flats, which are woven together with the idyllic scenery of Mikawa Bay, Maejima, which changes its appearance depending on the season of cherry blossoms, new greenery, and autumn leaves, and the variety of creatures that live there.
