国際電気通信基礎技術研究所（ATR、京都府精華町）は2025年9月11日、人工知能（AI）を搭載した人型ロボットが、人間並みの実時間運動性能を達成したとして、スケートボードでスラローム走行する様子を公開した。
研究は、新エネルギー・産業技術総合開発機構（NEDO）の委託を受け、京都大学などと共同で2020年に始めた。
On September 11, 2025, the Advanced Telecommunications Research Institute International (ATR, Seika-cho, Kyoto Prefecture) unveiled a video of a humanoid robot equipped with artificial intelligence (AI) slaloming on a skateboard, claiming that it had achieved real-time movement performance on a par with humans.
The research was commissioned by the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) and began in 2020 in collaboration with Kyoto University and others.
