sub【韓国旅行Vlog】東大門・安国の新スポットと問屋をめぐる!真夏のソウルひとり旅(後編) グルメ/カフェ/市場/問屋/ショッピング
Hello everyone! I’m Amy, a Seoul lover! I’m staying in Dongdaemun for the second half of my four-day solo trip to Seoul! Dongdaemun also boasts a ton of new shopping spots, so I’m checking them out! I got great deals at Dongdaemun’s classic shopping spots and checked out the trendy Korean cosmetics! I also tried shopping at a wholesaler! This time, instead of night shopping, I went in the morning! I also checked out the new and trendy spots at Gwangjang Market! I enjoyed some Korean cuisine! I also checked out Anguk Cafe, which has been renovated but remains as popular as ever! The second part of my Seoul travel vlog, featuring plenty of walking, eating, and shopping in the Dongdaemun and Anguk areas, begins! I moved from Seongsu to Dongdaemun. First, I left my luggage at the hotel…and exchanged ¥10,000 for ₩93,600 at the hotel’s currency exchange! Cash is required in some places in Dongdaemun, so I exchanged only the amount I needed. Hurry! Hurry! It’s been a while since I last visited the bag wholesaler [NPH] on 1F/B1. This place is open until 12:00! Today is Friday, so it’s closed in the evening. I’ve always come here after midnight, but this was my first time here in the morning. It’s easier to shop in the morning because there aren’t many people. It’s open until 12:00, but some stores close around 11:00. No matter how many times I come here, it’s always so interesting! There are so many bag wholesalers lined up. It’s so large, and the scenery is so repetitive, I always get lost. If I see something I like, I have to consider it there and then, otherwise I’ll never be able to go back to the same place…!? Coming here helps me understand the trends in bags! While it’s a wholesaler, there are also retailers (selling individually). There are a lot of charms on sale this year! If you find something you like, just ask if they’ll sell you one and how much it costs! You need cash to shop at the wholesaler! I’ve introduced “Tips for Shopping at Dongdaemun Wholesalers” in a separate video, so check it out! There it is! Hamachan, located on B1, is a popular tourist spot because it sells items and speaks Japanese. I came here today to pick up something a friend asked me to buy! These bags are common in Japan! The small ones are ₩23,000, the large ones are ₩25,000, and they also have lots of charms! They were around ₩8,000. The sparkly charms are ₩10,000! Oh! This is the bag that appeared in a Japanese drama the other day! The owner happily introduced it to me! They come in large, medium, and small sizes, with the small one costing ₩18,000. I was able to successfully purchase the item my friend asked me to! I bought five items, and they gave me a LABUBU pouch and a slight discount! Thank you! They had some lovely leather bags! They also had a wide selection of fall and winter bags. After 11:00, many stores start closing. I’m glad I made it just in time! It was my first time at NPH in a while, and it was fun! Next time, I’ll try the shoe wholesaler! Wow, it’s hot again today. It’s right outside Dongdaemun Station Exit 7! We headed to Building C of the Shoe Wholesale Market! This place is also open until around noon, so we hurried over. Trendy shoes are concentrated in Building C! It’s still midsummer, but there are already boots lined up! It’s a wholesale market, so they have shoes ahead of the season. Pumps, sneakers, sandals… they have it all! These colorful suede flats are made of cowhide and are high quality! Just 40,000 won! Fall and winter shoes are incredibly cheap, ranging from 10,000 to 40,000 won! There are no price tags here either, so if you see a pair you like, ask the staff for the price and whether they’ll sell them at retail. Unlike a regular shoe store, they don’t stock anything! Only samples are displayed, and sizes aren’t available, so you often can’t try them on. If you want to buy, the shoes will be transported from the warehouse after payment, which takes time. Be careful, it can take anywhere from 10 minutes to several hours! I’ve also made a video about tips for buying wholesale shoes, so be sure to check it out! No catch today. By 12:00, most of the stores on the second floor were closed. Cheonggyecheon, the oasis that flows through Dongdaemun! My hotel is in that building! It’s in an amazing location, so I always stay here when I stay in Dongdaemun! Heading to the hotel, let’s pass through this clothing wholesaler, Pyeonghwa Market! The exchange office at the entrance has a great exchange rate! I didn’t feel like buying socks, which would make great souvenirs, in this heat. There are various stores selling clothing, belts, scarves, hats, and more. Dongdaemun is an interesting area, with a wholesale district you won’t find in Japan. I also checked out the Hyundai City Outlets in the same building as my hotel! My favorite, MARITHÉ FRANÇOIS GIRBAUD, was also at outlet prices! There were discounts written on the hangers! Even items sold in regular stores are sometimes discounted, so it’s a must-see! Oh, that sweatshirt I’ve been wanting! Won’t be 89,000 → Won’t be 80,100 (10% off). I buy them every time I visit Korea, and now I have seven T-shirts… Marie-chan is going to a new store later, so I’ll put it on hold for now! [MLB] items are also 30-50% off! Sandals are 39,600. Speaking of [MLB], you can also get great deals on caps! For basketball fans, there’s also [NBA] next door! [CONVERSE] is as popular as ever! [THE NORTH FACE] has redesigned and expanded! Won’t be 298,000 → Won’t be 149,000. There are also many white label items exclusive to Korea! ₩198,000 → ₩138,600 On the first day, I also stopped by the Lotte Outlet [NORTH FACE] at Seoul Station, but the lineup was slightly different and sometimes they had items in stock and sometimes they didn’t! This season, the [Hyundai City Outlet] had a better selection! However, I feel like the Lotte Outlet has a wider selection of women’s items! ₩299,000 → ₩179,000 ₩318,000 → ₩189,000 ₩298,000 → ₩208,600 You can buy a down jacket for around 20,000 yen! ₩639,000 → ₩319,000 This is a luxury line, but it’s half price! The [NORTH FACE] has expanded and renovated its sales floor. I’d like to check out another outlet later and buy a down jacket. Morning shopping is over! I’m exhausted. I checked into the hotel! When I’m in Dongdaemun, I often stay here because of its convenient location! It’s a large hotel with triple rooms, so I recommend it for girls’ trips! It has all the amenities, including a bathtub! The only thing I miss is the hair dryer, which is indispensable. I made a last-minute reservation on the hotel’s official website. It included a mask and a late check-out time! I’m hungry! Let’s go for lunch! The atmosphere is just like the backstreets of Dongdaemun! The grilled fish street always smells great! I went to Dakgalbi Street! My recommendation is this restaurant! There’s no line at 2:30 PM on weekdays. Today, I’ll skip Dakgalbi Street and go to a different restaurant! Even in midsummer, Seoul is so hot. Just walking around drains my energy. There it is, this yellow sign is the restaurant! I’ve always wanted to visit Baekje Butcher Shop, known for its delicious yukhoe , and finally made it! ♡ It’s about a 10-minute walk from my hotel, between Dakgangmari Street and Gwangjang Market. I came here for yukhoe bibimbap, but they also have a variety of other options, including fresh liver and grilled meat! Wrapping yukhoe in jadorbagi (grilled meat) is also popular! You can help yourself to water! The atmosphere and local feel of this restaurant are irresistible! The portions are huge! It looks delicious! I’m happy that you can order yukhoe bibimbap for just one person! ♪ The portions are huge. It was worth coming hungry. I’ve been to many famous yukhoe bibimbap restaurants, including those in Gwangjang Market, but I wonder how this one tastes. Wow, it’s delicious!♡ You can really taste the sweetness of the meat. Plus, the gochujang seasonings are a little sweeter than other dishes, which I really like! The accompanying kimchi isn’t too sour, and it’s delicious! I think I’ve finally discovered the yukhoe bibimbap of my life. I’ll definitely be back! Next time, I’ll bring a group and eat it with yukhoe sandwiched between a chadolbagi! Fresh yukhoe bibimbap like you can’t get in Japan! It was incredibly delicious. I was able to pay with my credit card! We arrived at Gwangjang Market, just a short walk away! I’m full and can’t eat any more, but the delicious smell is tempting… It’s the popular watermelon juice! I made my food stall debut on my last trip, and it was a fun experience eating with the locals. Today, I’m checking out a new shop at Gwangjang Market! I smelled something delicious… It’s Garlic Boy, the much talked about shop that opened in April! The garlic bread is 39,000 won and looks incredibly delicious. But I’m full now… After the food market, the next stop is a row of fabric wholesalers, which is really interesting. Quilted bags. Kwangjang Market is large and complicated, so it’s easy to get lost! If you do get lost, the man wearing this red polo shirt will guide you! And there it is! OFF BEAUTY, an urban K-Beauty outlet that opened in June , offers authentic K-Beauty brand products at 50-60% off! From skincare to makeup and inner care, there’s a wide variety! You might even find a bargain! I also stopped by THE NORTH FACE MARKET, which I’ve always wanted to visit. You might think, ” North Face again?” but this place offers even better deals than the outlet! It ‘s open from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, so I’ve never been able to make it in time until now. Even better deals than the outlet are in this area to the right as you enter the store! These racks are 70% off, a steal!!! Down jackets are 70% off! This rack is about ¥10,000! If it fits, it’s a great deal! This is a men’s size M (about women’s L-XL), so it’s a little big, but will it look good on me? ₩329,000 → ₩99,000 The other items were the same price as what I saw at Hyundai city outlets earlier! Lightweight down jackets: ₩239,000 → ₩167,300 ₩218,000 → ₩169,000 I want a short black down coat. I decided to buy the super-cheap down jacket I tried on earlier! They even offered duty-free shopping. I got a great deal! I was about to get lost when I saw the sign! Time for a break! A new spot in Gwangjang Market, STARBUCKS COFFEE Gwangjang Market Branch, opened in May. It’s great that they’re open until late at night, from 9:30 AM to 10 PM! I wonder what kind of atmosphere it’ll be like with a market and Starbucks? So exciting!♡ I’m envious! Korean Starbucks food is even better than in Japan. They also have a Gwangjang Market-exclusive menu inspired by the market’s weaving culture! The drink menu is “Golden Mandarin Hop Fizzo,” a refreshing mandarin orange aide! But right now, I’m in the mood for the Korea-exclusive drink, the Jeju Matcha Latte! They also have tumblers in collaboration with artists! I use the original tumbler I made at their first Korean store almost every day! They also have a collection of Korean regional items and a Chima Chogori bear. There’s lots of art, and the store is stylish and chic. That wall is decorated with colorful spools of thread! It’s so Gwangjang Market-esque! From the second floor where I just ordered, there’s a slope leading up to the third floor. There’s a rooftop! There’s quite a lot of seating. It’s hot and empty, but it seems like it’s lit up at night, so the rooftop would be nice in the spring and fall. The Jeju Matcha Latte is delicious! It’s so hot, I was about to go inside, but a Japanese tourist came and took a great photo for me! Thank you! The rooftop was so hot I could only stay for a minute, so I went back to the second floor to cool off. Market View: Seoul is really hot in the middle of summer, too. It’s important to take frequent breaks. Even so, Korea is so interesting, with new hot spots opening up every time I visit, constantly evolving! I’ll include NAVER MAP links to the places and shops I visited in the video in the description and comments! Anyway, I’m heading back to the center of Dongdaemun, taking the subway, even though it’s only one stop away! T-Money can now be stored on my iPhone wallet, so I downloaded it this time. It seems like many vending machines at stations still don’t allow top-ups. Let’s top up at a convenience store! I was able to top up with cash at a convenience store! I no longer need my physical T-Money card! Entering and exiting the ticket gates was as easy as tapping the card, just like with a physical T-Money card! We’re back in Dongdaemun! Let’s resume shopping at [dundun]! Dundun is also located in a fashion building that just opened last year! If you’re visiting Dundun, you definitely want to stop by Daiso! VT’s PDRN series is also available at Daiso! What a bargain. I use this face mask every night after my bath, and it’s so hydrating! Other VT products are also a great deal! The small leadle shots make great souvenirs. A pack of four face masks for 3,000 won is amazing value! Also, the MEDIPEEL masks were a big seller this time! They’re so great value. Korea’s Daiso is truly impressive! I could spend hours here. The selection of cosmetics is so impressive it makes you wonder if this is really a Daiso! Oh, I’ve been wanting to buy that hairline-shaping pom-pom! They have so many different types of brushes! Daiso is a large, one-floor store, so it’s easy to browse. They also have a wide selection of character merchandise and pet supplies! The cashiers are always busy! Daiso is super popular. It’s so much fun. Check out the details of each floor of [dundun] in my previous Seoul trip vlog! Finally, I stopped by [Olive Young]! “BOH” Tantan Cream face mask is out! I’ve already bought five of the creams! They had a 5-pack + 1 pack sale for 10,000 won, so I’m definitely buying that! I tried it right away and it was a cream mask! It’s the perfect texture for winter♪ I use it every summer! “Cell Fusion C” -5℃ mask! I also love “numbuzin” No. 5, which charges tanned skin with Vitamin C!♡ I love the “SKIN1004” CENTELLA series♡ I’m currently using this face wash, but the scent is so strong, like green barley… I’m curious to try their other products. Oh, the “Delight project” protein I bought all the different types of last time was so delicious! It’s quite sweet, so your tastes might vary! I wanted to try out the new “LANEIGE” cushion foundation in different colors♪ I saw a great deal that included a lipstick, so I bought it! [OLIVE YOUNG] offers instant tax refunds! Don’t forget to show your passport! I’ll introduce my purchases in the second half of the video, including the first half of my trip to Seoul ♪ Stay tuned! Speaking of Dongdaemun, it’s night shopping! The night session begins ♪ It’s been a while since I’ve been to this street! [MIMI LINE] renovated its 4th floor in June, and now you can buy souvenirs like food! I had a good look at [nyunyu] at Seongsu, so I didn’t go to Dongdaemun! Diagonally across from it, nyunyu’s fashion specialty store, [nyunyu WEAR], has opened! nyunyu is constantly opening stores with new concepts! This store focuses on fashion! There were lots of bags lined up! This store is also quite spacious. The fashion selection was mostly trendy. At ₩51,000, it’s a little pricey for nyunyu! But the fabric is sturdy! This denim skirt is ₩57,000 . While other nyunyu items have character designs, these are chic and stylish! The charms are more fashionable than colorful! The stylish [WEAR] was great. I preferred the regular [nyunyu] and [nyunyu HOUSE] . Since you’re here, be sure to take a stroll down Cosmetics Street! Dongdaemun becomes even more lively at night! Many new cosmetic shops have opened. [MANGO BUSY] is still going strong! Check out [THE MASK SHOP]! Face masks are still as cheap as ever! “numbuzin” 5 masks for ₩7,700 ! What?! VT’s usual boxed masks have gone up in price. The display is impressive! Prices have definitely gone up compared to a while ago. But the mask shop still has a great selection and offers great deals. For the final stop of my night shopping, I went to DOOTA Mall! I’ve been walking around Dongdaemun since this morning, and my legs are exhausted… and I’m getting hungry. So, I’m going to grab a quick dinner at the B2 floor of Hyundai City Outlets! I’m going to try the kimbap at PPOK! ♪ I had it last time and it was delicious, so I’m going back! They don’t just have kimbap, they also have tteokbokki and mandu. It’s around 9:00 PM…I’ve walked a lot today, so I thought I’d eat some! Tuna kimbap ♪ It’s chock-full of filling! I couldn’t finish it, so I asked for a takeaway pack. It was delicious as expected♡ Perfect for a late-night snack! The basement of Hyundai City Outlets also has a great food court ♪ It’s great for solo dining or a quick meal. My last shopping trip of the day! I was so excited to come to DOOTA Mall! I heard they had a new store, and everything was 50% off!!! The short-sleeved T-shirt was ₩59,000, so 50% off for ₩29,500! In the end, this logo T-shirt is the most useful! I’m wearing it today too! Even though it’s not a Korean brand, I buy it every time I go to Korea! They recently opened a store in Tokyo, but it was cheaper to buy it in Korea. Is this too cute? ♡ I’ll buy a T-shirt I don’t own. I’ll go for the painted logo T-shirt! The sample is too big, but I’d like to wear it a little oversized! Today, I’m wearing everything from this store. A cap, T-shirt, and shorts give me a boyish look 🙂 Apparently they’ve opened a store in Myeongdong too, and they’re having a sale! I got a great deal on my favorite brand, MARITHE! I’m on the 4th floor! I stopped by No Brand, the original brand of the supermarket “e-Mart.” They have a snack section right away, and as expected of a private brand, it’s really cheap. Five servings of ramen are also cheap, starting at ₩2,580! These snacks would make great souvenirs! And it’s only ₩1,980, which is cheap! Looks delicious♡ It would be great for snacks to hand out to colleagues! I’ve returned to my hotel room. Before packing, I’d like to introduce some of my purchases! First, the ones I bought in Seongsu during the first half of my trip! I’m so satisfied! On the way back, I took a low-cost airline… I wonder if I’ll be able to fit it all in at 15kg. Now I’m going to pack and get some sleep zzz Good morning! On my last day, let’s go for breakfast♪ I took the subway from Dongdaemun Station to Anguk Station, with one transfer. I love the sound of the subway♪ I heard there are lots of new spots opening in Anguk too! I have to check them out! T-Money wallets are so convenient. You can now charge your WOWPASS T-Money with the app, and it’s getting more and more convenient! For travel information, transportation information, and other Korea travel tips, check out another video! [LONDON BAGEL MUSEUM] The Anguk branch now has a second floor! So, I’m off to check it out♪ You might be wondering, “Are you going to London Bagel again!?” but… I’ll report on the renovations! I arrived late… At 8:50 AM on Saturday, there were already 45 groups waiting for both dine-in and takeout. I heard that they’ve added seating on the second floor and the wait times have decreased, but on weekends, the lines are still huge. I asked the staff and they said the wait time is 1.5 to 2 hours! *Reservations via app are not currently available on weekends, so you’ll have to register in person. Let’s take a stroll around Anguk! The bag brand FIBRUNO, located above London Bagel, is moving to a new location on the corner. The popular fragrance brand hetras. is right around the corner from London Bagel! They haven’t opened yet. I saw them in Seongsu, so if you’re interested, check out the first part of the Vlog! An hour and a half? What should I do? It’s not yet time to shop… and in this heat, I don’t have the energy to walk up the hill at Bukchon Hanok Village. I walked in the opposite direction to a different restaurant, Onion, but it also had a lovely atmosphere. But it’s an hour and a half away, and it’s super hot today, so I’d better stop by a cafe somewhere. [DOTORI GARDEN] is as popular as ever! [AMOR NAPOLI] has a new store. I ended up heading to [oinon], but as expected, there’s a huge line! [CAFR KOMPLEX] was empty! I wonder what the neighboring [Cafe Layered] is like? It’s empty! I’ve been going to the usual cafes… but this is my first time eating in at the Anguk branch, so I’m looking forward to enjoying the cute space. My favorite is the Earl Grey scone, but I think I’ll have cake today♪ The blueberry cheesecake is guaranteed to be delicious! [Cafe Layered] is not just cute, it’s also talented♡ I always think Korea is amazing at producing cafes! Normally, I’d buy scones and bagels to bring back to Japan, but I’m worried about the summer, so I decided to just eat in the shop this time. With only seven groups left in line, I headed to the [LONDON BAGEL MUSEUM]. Before that, check out the newmix coffee store in Anguk! Last time, I bought banana milk at the Myeongdong nyunyu pop-up, and it was easy to make and delicious! It’s delicious and easy to make, without the powdery texture of instant coffee! They offer tastings at the store, so you can find your favorite. I registered for the waiting list at 8:50 and was able to enter at 10:40, so my wait was 1 hour and 50 minutes. Check out the separate video for how to wait at the LONDON BAGEL MUSEUM! Oh, there’s a staircase! The new “Cheese Honey Bagle” has arrived! I tried my favorite “Potato Cheese Bagle” the other day… I’ll try “Brik Lane” for the first time in a while ! I wonder what the second floor is like! It’s so spacious! It has a different atmosphere from the first floor, with large, bright windows! Let’s enjoy it at a seat with a view of the hanok! The “Brik Lane” is a sesame bagel filled with plenty of cream cheese and topped with honey! London bagels aren’t just cute, they’re also delicious! Fluffy, chewy, and heavy! The fragrant sesame and refreshing yet rich cream cheese are a perfect match! Everything is delicious! I never get bored of visiting the London Bagel Museum! I’ll definitely be back! There’s a line again today for the Harapoji crepe I had last time. There are buses “6702” and “6001” (which go to different bus stops) from Dongdaemun to Incheon Airport, and I took the “6001” bus, which was just the right time to get to the airport. I paid 17,000 won with T-money! The airport bus had a plush seat, which was a blessing! It’s cloudy today, but it’s still hot! The weather was good for four days, so I took plenty of breaks during my midsummer Seoul trip! During this time, it’s good for your energy to not overpack your schedule and focus on your accommodation! I checked in online with Jeju Air last night and received my e-ticket. While I was on the bus, I registered for other things. Registering for “SMART PASS” allows you to pass through Incheon Airport with your face! It’s a facial recognition system! It makes things go smoothly, even at crowded airports. Registering for “Visit Japan Web” in advance for your Japan entry procedures also allowed me to smoothly enter Japan ! For those heading to Korea, I’ve compiled information on Korea entry and exit in a separate video, so check it out! I arrived at the airport in about an hour and a half. I’d already checked in online, so I just checked my luggage! It was exactly 15kg! Self-check-in allows you to check in up to 2kg more! There was a scale at the hotel, so it was helpful to be able to measure my weight in advance! Next, I went through the duty-free procedure! There was a line. I was leaving! I’d just registered for “SMART PASS,” so I used my face to pass through the orange line on the right! You can check the congestion at the departure gates using cameras and boards. I received my duty-free refund near Gate 28! I received it in won, knowing I’ll be back. After successfully completing the departure and duty-free procedures, I bought a drink. I usually frequent Gimpo Airport, and it’s been a while since I’ve been to Incheon, so this was my first time at this Starbucks! It’s so stylish! This was my third Starbucks on this trip! The “Mango Milk” was delicious. The boarding gate for the 6,500 won low-cost carrier is far away! I made sure to keep an eye on the time. New spots had opened in Dongdaemun and Anguk in the second half of the trip! Seoul is truly fascinating, always offering new discoveries! The theme of this trip was “A Different Seoul Trip!” I enjoyed Seongsu, Dongdaemun, and Anguk, focusing on new and popular spots. I also visited the latest spots in the first half of my 2-night, 3-day trip to Seongsu, so be sure to check out my Vlog! I’ll post NAVER MAP links to the places and shops I visited in the video in the description and comments! If you found this video helpful or made you want to go to Seoul, please give it a like! スカイパークキングスタウンの公式はどこから予約しましたか?!公式わからなくて困ってます
