「渋川へそ祭り」（日本のへそ！）の案内看板と渋川駅前の様子を撮影しました。
この祭りは、おへそに顔を描いて踊るユニークな「へそ踊りパレード」が名物。渋川市が「日本のまんなか」として1984年から始めた夏の風物詩で、どなたでも飛び入り参加できます。場所は渋川駅から徒歩3～5分の新町五差路周辺。
渋川駅は1921年（大正10年）に開業し、上越線の主要駅の一つとして多くの観光客が伊香保温泉や榛名山などへ向かう際の玄関口となっています。

“Here are the festival signboard of the Shibukawa Heso (Bellybutton) Festival and the view in front of Shibukawa Station. The Shibukawa Heso Festival is a unique summer event where people paint faces on their bellies and dance in the “Heso Odori” parade. Since 1984, Shibukawa—considered the geographical “navel” of Japan—has hosted this festival, and anyone can join. The main venue is around the Shinmachi five-way intersection, just a 3–5 minute walk from Shibukawa Station.
Shibukawa Station opened in 1921 and serves as a major station on the Jōetsu Line. It is also known as the gateway to the famous Ikaho Onsen and Mount Haruna area.”
